President Joe Biden has scrapped Donald Trump's red, white and dark blue color scheme for the new Air Force One planes, citing the additional costs it would require. 'The Trump paint scheme is not being considered because it could drive additional engineering, time and cost,' an administration official told Politico. That means the Biden administration is keeping the light blue and white scheme that goes back to the Kennedy era. The new Boeing 747-8s, which are being modified into flying White Houses, aren’t expected to fly until 2026. The Air Force revealed earlier this week there's a design flaw in Trump's color plan

This just latest in reversing a Trump decision. Someone high level in Boeing management is anti Trump. When Trump is elected in 2024, he should refuse to fly in those new jets and bankrupt the Boeing and new woke AF budget for AF1. Fly in the smaller jets after repainting them Red White and Blue. Drop Boeing contractor support.

Everybody knows red can’t fly as fast as baby blue. If schmoe were to wear a boa onboard it would save time and money.

Better yet, President Trump should paint his own Boeing757 with the same exact proposed AF1 red white and dark blue colors and prove that Boeing lied then sue them for a refund of millions.

It cost too much and it will make the engines hot. Uh, um.......at an altitude 35,000 feet the outside temperature is
- 60 degrees. Billions for money laundering via Ukraine, but not a dime for the flagship airplane of The United States of America. These dopes are so transparent.

The tone of the article implies that something Trump asked for caused special costs for Boeing. All Trump did was get Boeing to take the risk of a fixed price contract based on the government and Secret Service requirements that were negotiated before Trump was even elected. What Boeing didn't predict for AF-1 and all its fleet was the Covid 19 pandemic. The government forced Boeing to shut down like every other business which meant the people building AF-1 had to get paid over a longer period of time which increased the costs to Boeing. All Trump did was protect the taxpayers.
Also, it looks like they could have just reversed the paint scheme and used the white on the underside like Trump's 757. I think Boeing is just looking for some contractual ways to recoup their labor costs by reusing the old, approved paint scheme rather than fulfilling the original contract which included the overheating analysis.

Regardless of Dementia Joe's reasons, leaving the current color scheme alone is the right decision. It's classic, restrained, and is instantly recognizable as what it is -- the symbol of the greatest nation in the world. The Trump scheme looked like a Just Another Cheapo Airlines. But having said that, the real reason is probably that they need the money for non-skid coatings on the stairs because Pedo Joe keeps falling.

Who knows? Cancelling Trump's livery may be just another act of spite or it may be smart finances, although I lean toward spite. In either case I wasn't particularly fond of the proposed change. It looked fine, but there is something to be said for tradition. If it works, don't fix it. And it works world wide. I doubt that there is any aircraft that is more recognizable and better symbolizes the country that flies it.

Cost for paint should not be a factor after throwing away well over 40 billion to Ukraine. Yes it’s recognizable, but it’s still a theme created by Democrats. The same and now communist party killing American physically and financially. America needs a reboot and red white and blue should not be offensive to any American. We need a new symbol of American pride, like a Phoenix rising from the ashes created by Joebama and the communist democrats.

I just talked to a person who had a career working on planes. I did not mention who, but did say it was regarding the blue color on AF1. Here is the reply. I quote" Paint color has nothing to do with overheating the engines. Who ever said that is a complete idiot and knows nothing about the aircraft. The top of this airplane is white, which reflects heat and radiation. This is the only time a paint color affects aircraft components. also, more like -40 @ 350'. I then told this person its biden who is saying the engines would overheat.
We all know that the colors on the New Air Force 1, are just beautiful. So much classier then that ugly blue on the present plane. And, the colors on the new plane are the colors of our flag. And now you know why biden and his handlers are objecting. The new plane is beautiful. Actually, it's too classy of a plane for the dems to be allowed to fly in. Wait till PRESIDENT Trump, or DeSantis is in the WH. Then paint it the real Red, White and Blue! AS it should be!

Why aren't Southwest Airlines 737s falling out of the sky due to the engines overheating? The damn things are painted dark blue? Liars

I call sour grapes. United, one of the largest operators of 747s, had not one, but two, liveries that had dark blue bellies and engine cowlings, "Battleship Gray" from 1994 to 2004 and "Rising Blue" from 2004 to 2011. No engine overheating of course. It's just jealousy.

I will wager a paycheck that this was a made up problem to give Brandon the "cause" to reverse Trump's livery choice so the he wouldn't come across as the complete vindictive Schiff that he is. And bonus, he can claim that it saves money.
Boeing played along........otherwise......
The Kennedy livery.....and that's why the left lost its collective mind, is instantly recognizable worldwide. However the Trump livery was clearly more sophisticated.

If its from Biden's WH then I knows its a lie. I'm no aircraft engineer but I still know that color will have no affect on the engines. Everyone know red cars are faster than blue ones.

Baloney, as Biden, just to be nasty, has been shutting down anything that is brought to his attention that Trump approved. There is dark colored paint on the engine cowlings and housings on all sorts of aircraft whose engines have not malfunctioned because of their paint color, give us a break!

If I recall correctly the U. S. Navy ‘Blue Angels’ are painted a dark blue and they don’t seem to have a problem with over heating. Biden’s just being the mental midget he’s always been.

My guess is that a darker color on the top of the fuselage would put a greater load on the air conditioning when the plane is parked on the ground. Technically illiterate reporters reported this as 'engines overheating', but they have no clue what they are writing about.
I like the existing paint scheme, and it is known worldwide.
I have not seen an illustrations of President Trump's proposed paint scheme.
Bottom line..... Biden teleprompter controller is a spiteful little piece of filth.
