Pete Buttigieg: Trump's July 4th
event 'makes America look smaller'

Original Article

Posted By: NorthernDog, 7/4/2019 4:26:27 PM

Democratic presidential candidate Pete Buttigieg on Wednesday slammed President Donald Trump's upcoming July Fourth "Salute to America" parade, saying that the event -- which will feature military tanks and flyovers in Washington -- only "makes America look smaller." "One of the reasons I joined the military was that in a small way I wanted to be part of seeing to it that my country was not the kind of place where a leader feels the need to boost his own ego by rolling tanks down the streets of our capital," the mayor of South Bend, Indiana, told CNN's Jake Tapper

Comments:

PeeWee Pete will never preside over anything more than a rainbow-fest parade.

"One of the reasons I joined the military was that in a small way I wanted to be part of seeing to it that my country was not the kind of place where a leader feels the need to boost his own ego by rolling tanks down the streets of our capital," I'm calling BS on this one. I cant speak to why he joined the Navy, but it wasn't for the reason listed above. Soldiers, sailors and airmen take and execute orders. They dont check their appointed superiors egos. Perhaps he has something to say about US Marines having to hold umbrellas over the previous Won,

Wrong you are; it is the inflated numbers of aberrant couples that make America look small. The continent has the same number of square miles it has always had. What's lacking is any Godly discipline we formerly leaned on but no longer follow. People like you, Mr. Mayor, have put your godlessness ahead of propriety that has helped pull us away from our solid center. No, you were not the first. No, you will not be the last. The Communists and the One Worlders are way ahead of your tribe in sheer. numbers.

Sorry to disappoint you, #17 but I am not ashamed. It was Buttigieg who put his sexuality front and center in his campaign and he never fails to flaunt it. "Phobe" indicates a fear of something and homosexuals are anything but fear-inducing. Laughter inducing is more like it. The Lord used the word "abomination" for what they do behind closed doors and if they insist on bringing it out into the light of day, it is they who should be ashamed.

Toilet paper – the one product that the majority of us use just once and flush away – is becoming less sustainable, according to research. Analysis from Ethical Consumer magazine found that major brands were using less recycled paper than in 2011, while only five of the nine major supermarkets (the Co-op, Morrisons, Sainsbury’s, Tesco and Waitrose) offered an own-brand recycled toilet paper. The large-scale use of virgin paper contributes to unnecessary deforestation. Joe Biden is looking for that sweet spot between “wise” and “over the hill.” That can be hard to find when your voting record is older than some of the other candidates in the race. People who know him have told me that the former vice president has decided, out of both strategy and conviction, that he should never apologize. He still sees himself as the same young-buck visionary, the one who was barely old enough to be sworn in to the Senate when he first won his seat in 1972, three years after Neil Armstrong walked on the moon.

On a two-day holiday visit to Iowa, the state that kicks off the White House nominating fight in seven months, Biden was greeted by new polls showing his lead narrowing in the state and nationally after a wobbly performance in last week's first debate. The unemployment rate edged up to 3.7% as labor force participation rose, according to the Labor Department. Economists surveyed by Dow Jones had expected nonfarm payrolls to rise by 165,000 and the unemployment rate to hold steady at 3.6%. May’s initially reported growth of 75,000 had raised doubts about the durability of the record-setting expansion that began a decade ago. The May count was revised lower to 72,000. Several police officers were asked to leave a Starbucks in Tempe, Arizona, by a barista who told them another patron did not feel safe in their presence. The incident took place on July 4, Independence Day, just before the six Tempe officers began a long shift. The barista told the officers they either needed to move out of the complaining customer's field of vision or leave completely because this patron did not "feel comfortable," according to ABC15 Arizona. The officers, who had just purchased their coffees, opted to leave. The following morning, the officer's union Tempe Officers Association tweeted a

New York Times journalist and editorial board member Mara Gay took aim at Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) Friday after the Texas senator set the record straight on Colin Kaepernick’s failed attempt to turn a Frederick Douglass quote into a slam on America on Independence Day.“Frederick Douglass is an American hero, and his name has no business in your mouth,” Gay tweeted in response to Cruz’s thread, which added much-needed context to Kaepernick’s misleading quote. A 7.1 quake rocked Southern California Friday evening. The quake struck at 8:21 p.m. KCAL9 anchor Sara Donchey held co-anchor Juan Fernandez’ arm as she steadied herself before ducking under her desk. He, meanwhile, reported feeling nauseous about the quake that felt like it wasn’t going to stop. Friday’s 7.1 and Thursday’s 6.4 both had epicenters near the community of Ridgecrest. The Thursday quake was already the biggest to hit Southern California in 20 years. The quake Friday evening obliterated that mark.

Immediately after the debate, while clips rolled of Harris touting how she personally benefited from busing, Harris surged in the polls and Biden sagged a bit. It is less clear that Harris successfully cracked Biden’s appeal with black voters, which is likely key to the success of both candidates. In live dial-tests during the debate,

Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, 9:50 A. M., Tuesday, August 31, 1999. “They will kill four today,” one Saudi in the crowd said. “No, fifteen,” said another. “You’re all wrong,” said one of the dozens of soldiers deployed around the parking lot of the city’s central mosque where the executions take place. “They will kill eight. They killed eight last Tuesday, and two more on Friday. And today is Tuesday, and they will kill eight again.” The method of execution is decreed in the Qu’ ran: beheading by sword. Saudi Arabia is the only nation that regularly beheads offenders. I’m the only Westerner in the crowd.
