AOC says only a 'sea sponge' would

Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez’s claim that the world will “end in 12 years” unless climate change is tackled was accepted as a fact by two-thirds of Democrats, even though she said herself that only those with the “social intelligence of a sea sponge” could actually believe it. (Snip) But it appears that more than two-thirds of surveyed Democrats took her literally. A Rasmussen poll, conducted earlier this week, found 67 percent of Democrats believing that the U.S. has only 12 years to avert the “disastrous and irreparable damage to the country and the world” stemming from climate change. Out of all

Dems will believe anything that fits their narrative. How long before another Jim Jones comes along and leads them into a Guyanese jungle?

So . . . During a debate with Hillary, Mr. Trump joked that perhaps Russia could find the 30,000 missing Hillary emails. (We all remember that or are at least aware of it, I am almost certain.) It was a joke. And yet that was pushed by many Dems as proof positive of his collusion with Russia to steal the 2016 election from their beloved Queen Hillary. Now AOC is claiming, essentially, that only idiots would take literally her apocalyptic comments about saving the planet in 12 years -- OR ELSE. Even two-thirds of her own party took it literally. And yet she insults anyone who did take her comments literally. These Dems find meaning where none exists. And then they lie about their meaning when they find what they've said doesn't work to their political advantage or just makes them look plainly stupid. Far more than your run-of-the-mill pols, Dems are just deceivers. Liars. I guess I am just stating the obvious.

Actually, based on science, the planet has only 11.83 years left, then it becomes totally destroyed and unlovable. Based on science. Unless, of course, the Left attains ultimate power, which automatically saves the world. Based on science. They're not just wrong. They're clinically insane.

Chica Loca can be forgiven for that 12-year remark (which I believe she was serious about at the time) because many climate scientists who sport Ph Ds also believe it. The BBC, NASA, the EPA and various euroweenie organizations are full of such creatures. Yes, many lie because the huge government grants keep them supplied with caviar and superb laboratory facilities but there are true believers in the mix.

The new owners of a Frank Lloyd Wright-designed cottage in the Chicago suburb of Glencoe, Ill., have formally requested permission to tear down the 106-year-old home, a village official confirmed Wednesday. Wright, widely considered America's greatest architect, designed the Sherman Booth Cottage, a flat-roofed, one-story frame house, in 1913. It served as a temporary home for Booth, who developed the architect's Ravine Bluffs neighborhood in Glencoe, including Booth's permanent home. The small house sits on a large lot just west of Sheridan Road. The Chicago-based historic preservation group, Landmarks Illinois, on May 1 placed the cottage on its annual list

Barack Obama is literally more popular than Jesus among Democrats. Unfortunately, neither the former president nor any of the party’s 23 candidates currently seeking the 2020 nomination know quite what to do with that information. Of course, before any serious endorsement conversation can commence, Obama has to finish his book (between rounds of golf and raising millions for his foundation). The writing has been going more slowly than he’d expected, and according to several people who have spoken with him, the 44th president is feeling competitive with his wife, whose own book, Becoming, was the biggest release of 2018 and is on track to be the best-selling memoir in history.
