Multiple law enforcement agencies descended this week on the Phoenix home of a former Mouseketeer missing since July, where police say they found human remains. A body was found Thursday at 510 Pine St., according to a release issued Friday evening by Oregon State Police. The home belongs to 76-year-old Dennis W. Day, a longtime Southern Oregon resident missing since July who is known for his childhood acting gig as a “Mouseketeer” in the 1956-57 seasons of Disney’s “Mickey Mouse Club” TV show. Strange story and sad since I remember him well because I sat glued to the TV every afternoon to watch the Mickey Mouse Club. I was jealous of him and the other boys because they saw Annette every day. I guess I didn´t have to worry about him stealing her from me (in my dreams).

He seems to have had a husband. And the husband either can´t supply information or doesn´t choose to.
The husband is probably the key. But that´s just speculation.

Not quite following this. So he had been missing for months, had a husband who suffered from Alzheimer´s, body found in his own home. So maybe he died of natural causes, slipped and hit his head, or maybe even a murder situation. If his husband can´t recall why there is a dead body in his home how does he take care of himself? If his Alzheimer´s is that advanced why wasn´t someone checking on him. Or why didn´t Mr. Day´s family/friends request a welfare check? If someone is missing wouldn´t it be prudent to check their home first? I will be waiting for the rest of the story. Too many questions and loose ends. Sorry this happened. I too watched The Mickey Mouse Club every afternoon.

Since his husband is living in a nursing home due to advanced dementia he might not be the most likely suspect. But then again, who can be sure? Maybe he’s a diabolical fiend who is faking the Alzheimer’s, even on brain scans; slipped out one night and did Mr. Day in, maybe in the library with a candlestick, returned to the Home and has resumed the dementia ruse and will do so until the Grim Reaper comes for him. Then again, maybe he really has Alzheimer’s and Mr. Day died of causes unrelated to him. It sounds as if family is geographically far-flung and Mr. Day was hermitile so they only became alarmed months after he was last heard from. Poor soul.

I’m wondering why the Oregon state police are investigating a suspicious death in Phoenix.

Also seems odd that his family showed all this concern months after he went missing and he was in his own house. You would have known there was a dead body in there the minute the door opened.

Lots of details missing here, but it seems that the husband was in a care facility, the relatives didn´t live nearby and the deceased was reclusive. He may have been estranged from his family. That would explain why his absence wouldn´t be noticed for a while, but apparently someone knew he was missing back in July. The presence of a dead body went unnoticed, which suggests that it was buried or hidden where the smell wouldn´t be detected.
This whole thing is about as clear as mud.

I live in Southern Oregon. According to a local TV station, he was last seen in July on his driveway. He apparently told his neighbors he was going on a trip and his car was missing. The car later turned up with 2 people in it who did not know him. How did the family not know anything about him disappearing? No one tried to contact him. Apparently, not a single family member called during the holidays? Something is really fishy about this. Here´s where I saw this background information: https://kobi5.com/news/6-months-later-family-now-learning-of-mouseketeers-disappearance-93651/

Suicide? self-neglect from loneliness, despair?
He looked sort of deranged ... both as a child and as an adult

Once famous, he did not age well. Seems odd that he was missing since last summer, then found in his own home.
