BOSTON — In the summer of 2020, after the death of George Floyd and the protests that followed, the far left decided cops were the problem. Their theory? Armed officers escalate mental health crises. Send social workers and clinicians instead, and people would stop getting hurt. On Saturday in Boston, one of those clinicians was attacked with a sword. The clinician was knocked to the ground inside an apartment building on Hemenway Street, steps from Northeastern University's campus. A police officer was stabbed in the arm.

A Canadian woman has spoken out about being held with her seven-year-old autistic daughter in ICE custody for the past 13 days. Tania Warner said in an interview with CTV News that she is the most stressed she's ever been in her life. Her daughter, Ayla, has also been complaining about a rash that has spread to much of the lower half of her body. Warner believes the rash was caused by stress and the commercial cleaners used to wash the ICE-issued clothing. After pushing multiple times, Warner was given hydrocortisone cream.

The deadly violence sparked by the military killing of an infamous cartel leader has now spread widely across Mexico, as American citizens near the border were warned to shelter in place. At least 20 of Mexico’s 31 states have seen violent clashes in the wake of the death of the country’s most wanted man, Nemesio Oseguera Cervantes, head of the Jalisco New Generation Cartel (CJNG). Cervantes — better known as “El Mencho” — died in custody Sunday, shortly after Mexican special forces captured him in Tapalpa, Jalisco state.

Civil rights icon Reverend Jesse Jackson has died at the age of 84. Though a cause of death was not immediately given, Jackson's family said he died peacefully surrounded by loved ones on Tuesday morning. In a statement, the Jackson family said: 'Our father was a servant leader — not only to our family, but to the oppressed, the voiceless, and the overlooked around the world. 'We shared him with the world, and in return, the world became part of our extended family.

The Pentagon has ordered an investigation into whether the presence of women in 'tip of the spear' combat roles is damaging the military's ability to win wars. A leaked memo obtained by NPR reveals that defense bosses are launching a grueling six–month review of thousands of female soldiers and Marines currently serving in infantry, armor and artillery units. In a private online support group leaked exclusively to the Daily Mail, one service member raged against the double standard, writing: 'You mean your guys can't focus on the mission without trying to stick it in... not my problem.'

President Donald Trump on Tuesday ripped Rep. Ilhan Omar, D-Minn., as “garbage” and said Somalis should “go back to where they came from,” in disparaging remarks that have been strongly criticized by local leaders in Minnesota. “I don’t want them in our country. I’ll be honest with you, OK. Somebody will say, ‘Oh, that’s not politically correct.’ I don’t care. I don’t want them in our country. Their country is no good for a reason," said Trump, who has a history of disparaging African people and migrant communities.

DENVER (KDVR) — There’s going to be a new bathhouse in the city. Picture the communal bathhouses that date back centuries, but modern with an urban garden with saunas, mineral pools and even a geothermal well to heat the tubs. That’s the plan for the area around Osage Street and Colfax Avenue. It’s known as Coba Bathhouse and was created with the idea of bringing people back together. Colorado locals Memphis Orion, the CEO, Jon Medina, the CCO and Adam Lerner, the chief strategic officer are shaping the bathhouse to do just that.

President John F. Kennedy's granddaughter publicly torched her cousin Robert F. Kennedy in an essay revealing her secret terminal cancer fight. Tatiana Schlossberg, 35, said she watched in horror from her hospital bed as RFK Jr was confirmed for the top health post in February. She said the health-care system she relied on suddenly felt 'strained, shaky' after RFK Jr's confirmation and that she worried about losing access to leukemia and bone-marrow trials at Memorial Sloan Kettering, her best chance at remission. Writing on the 62nd anniversary of JFK's assassination, Schlossberg revealed she was diagnosed with acute myeloid leukemia, a type of blood cancer, in May 2024.
