The peril of dehumanizing rhetoric

Prominent voices on the left have been branding their opponents as Nazis, “literally Hitler,” pedophiles, or “a threat to democracy.” This inflammatory language dehumanizes entire groups, paints targets on people’s backs, erodes civil discourse, and creates a climate where violence is viewed as justifiable. When rhetoric escalates to open calls for harm, the consequences are deadly: attempted assassinations of President Trump, the 2017 shooting of Republican congressmen at baseball practice, the murder of Charlie Kirk, and assaults on pro-life activists. When your side has no ideas on which to sway voters to your side, the only option left is Hate and Violence. Just look at every Communist Regime ever to exist, and the beginning of every, single, one started with Hatred and Violence aimed at those in power...

I'll be generous and give the useless media seven days to get back to their standard 'Hate Trump' rhetoric that they live for. Maybe some of the leftwing politicians will shut their hate-filled mouths for a little longer than that, but......never mind, no they won't.

The suggestion of assassination of Trump by Democrat politicians, like Maxine Waters, and late-night "comedians," including SNL, must be denounced every time. Such loose talk has led to the attempts on President Trump's life.... the main cause, I say.

This has been done on purpose... the global communists/democrats have been using Orwell's 1984 as a playbook since the first edition. Even Rules for Radicals is based on it

"Leftists are normalizing the violence against Republicans." This is what they do because this is who they are—and it's only going to get worse. I wish there could be a rational solution but that ship sailed and sank long ago.

The shooter was a failure, professionally. Someone who has a BS in Mechanical Engineering from a top school, plus a master's in computer science, was way under=employed as a tutor, went for FAME! I want to live forever! (1980s tv sh ow) I will shoot up the dinner! Fame!

So called “journalists” hide behind freedom if the press to justify/deflect their hateful comments and attacks on Trump, his family, friends and supporters. Members of Congress like Waters (even though not speaking from the well if the House) telling people to get in their faces, throw them out if restaurants, etc gets a pass. But we’re suppose to defer to these self-anointed clowns. Glad that President Trump is okay but I was really looking to him skewering the assembled journalist hacks.

Griff Jenkins was just speaking to Mary Catherine Hamm and he used the ‘both sides do it’ argument. I wish someone in position to challenge him to put up or shut up with the both sides argument.

The "250 journalists" plus prominent Democrats have done everything they could to demonize their political opponents, especially President Trump. Their careers should be over. Doubtless there are others who are inspired to ultimate violence by the out of control rhetoric. I've finally had enough of the leftist hatred, and have completely tuned out the likes of Hakeem Jefferies and Barry Soetoro. They're up to no good, and we need to remind them daily. If they don't stifle themselves, they'll have to be stifled. Words like bullets eventually lead to real bullets. The political left is full of death, chockablock with it.

Both President Donald Trump and Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass came out of meetings in April expressing optimism that the federal government will come to the aid of the feckless and duplicitous mayor and attempt to help further jumpstart the recovery of the Palisades after the devastating 2025 fire wiped out just about everything. According to NBC Los Angeles, Bass said “that she feels optimistic that the Trump administration will send more resources the city needs to recover from the 2025 Palisades Fire after meeting with him and his key advisors in the Oval Office.”

Seeing the tough-talking but charisma-free House Minority Leader from New York, Democrat Hakeem Jeffries, acting like the macho man when threatening the free state of Florida: annoying. Watching Jeffries demonize ICE and scheme with his buddy, Sen. Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY), to withhold funding for the Department of Homeland Security for months on end: infuriating. Witnessing a kid who is the offspring of a reporter from the far-left outlet CNN humiliate him with the most relevant question imaginable: priceless. Once upon a time, stealing from others was considered wrong. Punto, finis, basta. Most elementary school kids were able to master it. Today, petty theft is not only rampant, owing to the reign of Soros district attorneys who don't prosecute crime, it's being celebrated by the rich, radical chic elites. The New York Post presents this charmer from the breed: A longtime staff writer for the New Yorker known for bashing capitalism bragged that she has stolen from her local Whole Foods “on several occasions” in a New York Times podcast. Jia Tolentino, 37, made the shocking admission while joining left-wing streamer Hasan Piker and Times’ opinion culture editor Nadja Spiegelman

I’m so old, I can remember when it would have been unthinkable to run for office as a Communist or a socialist. Were those the good old days, or what? Exhibit A is Karen Bass, the Mayor of Los Angeles. I always took her for a total incompetent, but there is more going on than that: (X) Full text: I am going to keep repeating this until people understand this. Karen Bass was not only a Castro operative and Communist, but she got elevated to Vice Chair of National Endowment for Democracy, which is the center of soft power operations in the US government. She is not a “DEI mayor.”

Shocking, I know. It turns out that the Southern Poverty Law Center was funded by USAID. More specifically, USAID funded the "Vote Your Voice" program at the SPLC through the Tides Center (a left-wing NGO-funding organization). And you just thought your USAID dollars were funding poor kids in Africa or something. (X) The NGO funding machine is getting harder to ignore. USAID funneled $27 million through the Tides Center, with some of it going directly into the Southern Poverty Law Center. For years, the liberal left inside the federal government hijacked nonprofits as pass-through vehicles; a legal loophole to launder taxpayer dollars into partisan left-wing networks like SPLC.

Leftists Are Destroying Social Trust 3 replies

Any sane person, meaning anybody to the right of the median Democrat, knows that Liberalism and prosperity depend on free markets, the rule of law, and basic civil liberties. Without a high degree of social trust, none of those things is possible. Robert Putnam's 1993 book, Making Democracy Work, explored this very topic by examining Italy's regions and asking, "Why are Northern and Central Italy prosperous, but Southern Italy and Sicily not?" It's simple enough: Northern Italy has a long history of civic engagement and social trust developed over time, and Southern Italy is tribal, run by extended gangs called families. The difference between the worst and best countries
Why Do Democrats Hate America? 13 replies

Democrats and their ideological allies really do hate America. Earlier this week, Democrat Senator Chris Murphy highlighted a disputed news story claiming that a shadow fleet of several dozen Iranian vessels had successfully eluded the U.S. Navy’s blockade near the Strait of Hormuz. Above what appears to have been Iranian propaganda, Murphy wrote one word: “Awesome.” How much does a Democrat senator have to hate the country he putatively represents to root for a foreign enemy presently engaged in battle with the United States? Murphy’s choice to side with Iran’s Islamic terrorists over American servicemembers should surprise no-one.

Greg Gutfeld absolutely destroyed Jessica Tarlov on The Five on Thursday, and boy did things get crazy. It was the kind of television that makes you put down your phone and actually pay attention. The two went back and forth, screaming at each other over the question of whether the American right-wing threat narrative has always been overblown, ginned up, or an outright fabrication. And boy did Gutfeld come in swinging… and he never really stopped, either. It started when Tarlov pushed back on Gutfeld's characterization of hate crime hoaxes, demanding examples. Gutfeld was ready.

The Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC) has awarded itself far more grace than it deserves by having the word “poverty” in its name, which conjures up images of bootstrap liberal attorneys who live and work like the fictional Atticus Finch in To Kill a Mockingbird. The founders of the organization, in 1971, integrated a myth that became a legend in the very naming of the organization. From a branding standpoint, this is an amazing feat. But author Harper Lee took a shot at her own iconic character with a sequel to that story that, in light of this week's news, strikes an interesting parallel. Now it seems that this fictional archetype

Someone stole 15 giant agricultural drones in New Jersey — and experts fear a “nightmare scenario” if they end up in the hands of terrorists. The fleet of Ceres Air C31 drones, which are about the size of an ATV, were ripped off March 24 by a bogus delivery driver who duped shipping and logistics company CAC International in Harrison, according to The High Side substack. The four-armed flyers can carry and spray up to 40 gallons of liquid chemicals, such as fertilizers and pesticides, and unleash the payload over a 15-acre span in just seven minutes. The FBI is concerned the chemical-spraying drones could be used to disperse biological or chemical

In the immediate aftermath following the apparent assassination attempt against President Donald Trump at the White House Correspondents’ Dinner on Saturday evening, Iran’s Tasnim News Agency was quick to question whether the shooting was staged. Tasnim, which has close ties with the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), suggested that the shooting at the Hilton Hotel in Washington, D.C., as the Correspondents Dinner was commencing, may have been a “big show” intended to bolster President Trump’s approval ratings. The news agency speculated that it could have been staged to improve President Trump’s position ahead of the upcoming mid-term elections or perhaps to “use it against Iran or another country”.

President Donald Trump survived two assassination attempts during the 2024 election, and Saturday night he was whisked away again from another lethal threat when a heavily armed gunman briefly breached a security checkpoint at one of Washington's most famous black-tie galas and exchanged gunfire before being subdued by the Secret Service. But Trump would not recoil. First he wanted to return to the White House Correspondents' Dinner before it was canceled, hoping to send a signal to a nation gripped by political vitriol and shaken by recent assassinations — from Charlie Kirk to Minnesota legislators – that “sick people” cannot “change the fabric” of the United States.
