Fires, floods and extreme weather will
imperil a third of all life on land in
the next 60 years

This forecast does not look good. Archaeologists might need to locate Noah’s lost ark sooner than we think. By 2085, over a third of all land animals’ habitats could be adversely impacted by extreme weather events such as fires and floods, should temperatures continue to surge worldwide, per an alarming study in the journal Nature Ecology and Evolution. If we don’t reverse course, this “Day After Tomorrow”-esque confluence of events could potentially expedite extinctions.

Comments:

The world is going to end - - in 60 years! This is a move-the-goalposts update of all the "World Is Going To End" stories from the past 60 years. Here's the "tell" paragraph - - "However, more research is needed to narrow down the precise toll these weather events will have on wildlife." Yup - - gotta keep those research grants flowing. You can't be a true climate alarmist without lots of other people's money.

I bet this prediction was derived at least 70 years ago. It seems like a majority of stories predicting the end of life of earth wind up having already passed the posited expiration dates without incident.

Sounds like these so-called scientists' grants are drying up so we need more doomsday scenarios out there. These same frauds are also the ones that have prohibited any counter veiling studies to be published and discussed. Moreover, universities and think tanks do not fund counter veiling research, so there is very little of such research which is ignored or cancelled in any event. Until these so-called scientists are willing to have a robust exchange of all scientific data, these people need to go away. In addition, what is the picture of the Palisades fire doing in the article except to frighten people and gin up this net zero BS. It has been reported the California fires a year ago were set by an arsonist, Jonathan Rinderknecht and had nothing to do with so-called global warming. The staggering and sickening destruction of peoples' lives and property had more to do with criminally incompetent state and city leadership that deliberately left the area uncleared of dangerous debris and with empty reservoirs and inadequate fire equipment with which to fight the fire, not global warming. More fake news, even from the NY Post.

Unfortunately, they are dangerous since their goal is to depopulate the earth by helping to decrease birth rates, or flat out kill people. It makes no matter to them. After all, they know everything. Just ask Al Gore. s/

FTA: "By 2085, over a third of all land animals’ habitats COULD be adversely impacted by extreme weather events such as fires and floods, should temperatures continue to surge worldwide..." The "could" for me is the "tell." Back when Regan was just beginning his first term, my favorite geology professor, about 90% field vs classroom oriented, would take small groups of his geomorphology students to rock outcroppings, exposed along Central Texas roadways. At each stop, an individual student would be chosen to interpret the depositional environment as displayed in the exposed rock formations, using all of their classroom knowledge. The idea was to apply the scientific method to determine how the landforms got to be structured as they were over millions of years. One particular shaky aspiring geologist repeatedly used the word "could," in his verbal report, to which the professor replied, "If God wanted to, He "could" have made water run up hill and deposit blue poker chips." It was clear that to those who failed to learn science, tossing in the "could" was like the universal caveat used by those who were actually without a scientific clue in their chosen field of study.

Roughly 270 firefighters and EMS workers responded to the scene as the flames spread to the church and grew into a 5-alarm fire, fire officials added.
