Someone stole 15 giant agricultural drones in New Jersey — and experts fear a “nightmare scenario” if they end up in the hands of terrorists.
The fleet of Ceres Air C31 drones, which are about the size of an ATV, were ripped off March 24 by a bogus delivery driver who duped shipping and logistics company CAC International in Harrison, according to The High Side substack.
The four-armed flyers can carry and spray up to 40 gallons of liquid chemicals, such as fertilizers and pesticides, and unleash the payload over a 15-acre span in just seven minutes. The FBI is concerned the chemical-spraying drones could be used to disperse biological or chemical

How the hell was this done? No one saw anything? One delivery drive made off with these very large machines?

With the number of enemies we've allowed in, and sometimes put in 'secure positions' Anything could happen.

Whoa…wait just a darned minute. I thought blanket chemical spraying was a conspiracy theory. We were told they were all just jet contrails. Perhaps whoever did this, did us all a favor.

At 500-pounds each, that's almost 4 tons. What kind of delivery truck did the driver have?

Our Governor is right on it. She's a helicopter pilot, as she's told us a thousand times.

Drones can have many commercial and useful purposes, but they are also a very dangerous problem. They can go most anywhere, be operated from most anywhere, and the FCC doesn't want people shooting them down.
Drones are being used to attack people in places like Kosovo and Russia, many are built by Iran, private drones can spy on private citizens and the citizen is supposed to just ignore them. Drones are becoming a major pain in the ass.

When last seen - - the drones were being sold off the back of an unmarked truck - - in the parking lot of the Bergen Mall.
Some really hot deals being made.

Terrorists would love to have these things. The good news, if there is any, is that they'll use them in NYC or somewhere like that, and I'll be fine in suburban Kansas.

Re #4, any ordinary "Penske box truck" would do. They are typically rated for 5 tons If you look up a Penske 26 foot box truck, same as a U Haul bigger box truck, the load rating is 17,000 lbs which is 8.5 tons.
Nothing special, certainly no semi-trailer needed.

Re #3, 'blanket chemical spraying"???? Really?
These are agricultural drone for spraying crop fields, perhaps orchards. Apparently cheaper than manned 'ag planes' also known as the ubiquitous, at least out here in the midwest, 'crop dusters'. Call them crop duster drones.

Perhaps in future the companies that manufacture these "dual-us "drones" should arm them with a "kill-switch" so that they can be remotely shutoff in an event such as this. Hopefully, the unboxing is a pain and the "Initialization Instructions" are insanely complex, and half in Chinese, and they end up finding them in a warehouse someplace, half-assembled... /s

FTA: 'The US military has been aware of the potential threat from weaponized farm drones for years.' But of course never took the initiative to prevent their application in a terrorist attack. More fun to comb six or seven states in hopes of recovering them before a mass casualty event. Why aren't they required to have something like Lo-Jack? Then they could be quickly retrieved.

But we need to continue to refuse to fund homeland security because we wouldn't want to restrict the unfettered invasion of those who would steal these machines to do us harm.
And while we're at it, let's take another pot shot at the President, root for terrorist regimes, and let disturbed people remove the genitals of our children.
You couldn't make this stuff up if you tried!

Everything the Govt. owns that can possibly be used for Crimes should be air tagged or have a micro transponder so they can be located if missing!
