President Donald Trump on Tuesday said he agreed to suspend planned attacks on Iranian infrastructure for two weeks.
The move was “subject to the Islamic Republic of Iran agreeing to the COMPLETE, IMMEDIATE, and SAFE OPENING of the Strait of Hormuz,” he wrote on Truth Social.
The announcement came less than two hours before his deadline on Iran to either make a deal that includes opening the Strait of Hormuz or else face major attacks on its civilian infrastructure.
Trump wrote that he made the decision “based on conversations with Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Field Marshal Asim Munir, of Pakistan.”

Great, another 14 days to move Billions of dollars out of the country, re-arm the IRGC, set up more human shields around power plants and on bridges. Typical tactic of the losing side. Just like Hamas and the endless delays of "negotiations". The Pakistanis are not interested in negotiations, they're interested in keeping their oil supply flowing. The U.S. government is once again being played for the suckers they are. So disappointed.

Trump needs to execute on his deadlines, or stop issuing them.

Iran's negotiators lie, lie some more, then lie even more. They've managed to delay the destruction for two weeks, and in two weeks it will be some more. I'd prefer PDJT 2.0 was more like Teddy Rosevelt, talk softly, but carry a big stick.
PDJT 2.0, talks tough and carries the biggest stick in the world, but he is too reluctant to use it. He keeps falling for the negotiators' lines.

Here’s what the Iranians are betting on. Stopping the war for the US will be like taking paste out of the tube. We will not have the political stomach to start it again if they do not agree to anything in the next two weeks. Will we?? Only PDT knows.

All done with Trump and MAGA. What an absolute disgrace. He just elevated a third world, 7th century cesspool to a major world power. Shame on him and the weakness that he just showed the world that we really are not to be feared.
He has failed our country for politics and is just another loud mouthed braggart with no character.

I just heard O’Reilly say, if Trump wins this he will be called a war criminal. If he loses , he will be called a coward.
He has to walk a tightrope…

There are several reasons why the deadline has been extended, that I can think of. I'm not going to elaborate. But this plays into Trump's plans.

If iran behaves, things will be calm for them. If iran doesn't behave, things will not be calm for them. Just wondering who the live iranian body is who appears to be in charge. Mullahs, could you comment, please. The IDF is waiting.

Time to let the human shields disperse, then level them. This current fake was just that, vocal and a big tell…rope-a-dope. Wait till they clear then strike. And when, pray tell, is “the Straight “ due for a leveling? Way overdue. So, when whatever happens to the mighty eyeraineeun army, will be done and then we’ll know it, never before it happens. Duh!

Good Lord. The posts here are unbelievable. Trump is a negotiator. It’s what he is does. He obviously didn’t relish wiping out Iran but he was totally willing to do it. He expected Iran to blink at the last minute and they did. The continued random bombings are from the rogue IRGC that Iran needs to deal with. There will be a response. Try to think and not be so reactive.

Iran blinked.
If Trump went ahead with the attack, the MSM would be showing bodies of women and children among the rubble of bridges and power stations. (The mighty military of Iran is hiding behind its citizens).
Willing to wait and see what happens.
If Iran fires at anyone, the ceasefire is over. I doubt if the human shields will stay in place forever.

To be honest, who is over there to make a deal with? Supposedly we killed all their leaders and their replacement is supposedly unconscious from injuries sustained.

Two weeks ago President Trump was beating his chest and proclaiming "WE WON!", followed by the announcement that this war would end with "unconditional surrender" So, why are we paused to allow the Iranian leadership to receive more missiles and launchers from China?
I fell for it.

Believing the muzzie mullahs is kind of like believing Pelosi, Schumer or any dem politician when they promise a deal. It's not worth the paper it's written on! Most of us have seen this before, many times.

Had the fireworks ready to launch last night at home here starting at 8pm Eastern Time. Oh well.
Pakistan negotiating this truce - they cannot even negotiate and end to their decades long war with India... And besides, at the end of the day, Muslims will be Muslims regardless of whether Sunni or Shia. And were still the Great Satan.
I guess China and the EU will now get more of their oil tankers through the Strait while they kvetch about Trump and the USA. And the US stock market will rally, so $$$$ and then later this year in Nov at the midterms, ignorant American voters will still be whining about the cost of this or that, except for their tattoos and will vote in more Dems (affordability dontcha know) and we lose Congress.
As for the Iranian people, well, no one expected or thought the Germans and Japanese were going to rise up and overthrow their masters at the end of World War 2. So I doubt people oppressed for almost 50 years by the mad mullahs and their IRGC henchmen are going to run out into the streets grab, a gun and start revolting.
We shall see but I have little faith in the American people - we're not the same as we were 1941-1945. Same for the press.

I have 5 words for the panicans, The Art of the Deal.
PDJT loves to negotiate. He's good at it. He yells "the end of the world is coming to Iran", and then he makes a deal somewhere in the middle. Remember we have a businessman for our president. He negotiated with Iranians in New York when he was in the building trade. He knows how they think. God bless our president. Donald Trump is unlike any other president we have ever had.

I'm with #15 and #24.
Don't be surprised if we wake up one day and Iran has no electrical power- nationwide.
President Trump is not going to walk into the Mullets and 'Rats (they're on the same side) PR trap, killing women and children who the Mullets and Thugs are hiding behind.
But.... I believe he will get the job done!
For those who disagree, would you rather have Mattressback Kamala in the White House?
