Trump suspends Iran attack for two weeks,
subject to Hormuz Strait opening

Original Article

President Donald Trump on Tuesday said he agreed to suspend planned attacks on Iranian infrastructure for two weeks. The move was “subject to the Islamic Republic of Iran agreeing to the COMPLETE, IMMEDIATE, and SAFE OPENING of the Strait of Hormuz,” he wrote on Truth Social. The announcement came less than two hours before his deadline on Iran to either make a deal that includes opening the Strait of Hormuz or else face major attacks on its civilian infrastructure. Trump wrote that he made the decision “based on conversations with Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Field Marshal Asim Munir, of Pakistan.”

Great, another 14 days to move Billions of dollars out of the country, re-arm the IRGC, set up more human shields around power plants and on bridges. Typical tactic of the losing side. Just like Hamas and the endless delays of "negotiations". The Pakistanis are not interested in negotiations, they're interested in keeping their oil supply flowing. The U.S. government is once again being played for the suckers they are. So disappointed.

Iran's negotiators lie, lie some more, then lie even more. They've managed to delay the destruction for two weeks, and in two weeks it will be some more. I'd prefer PDJT 2.0 was more like Teddy Rosevelt, talk softly, but carry a big stick. PDJT 2.0, talks tough and carries the biggest stick in the world, but he is too reluctant to use it. He keeps falling for the negotiators' lines.

Good Lord. The posts here are unbelievable. Trump is a negotiator. It’s what he is does. He obviously didn’t relish wiping out Iran but he was totally willing to do it. He expected Iran to blink at the last minute and they did. The continued random bombings are from the rogue IRGC that Iran needs to deal with. There will be a response. Try to think and not be so reactive.

Had the fireworks ready to launch last night at home here starting at 8pm Eastern Time. Oh well. Pakistan negotiating this truce - they cannot even negotiate and end to their decades long war with India... And besides, at the end of the day, Muslims will be Muslims regardless of whether Sunni or Shia. And were still the Great Satan. I guess China and the EU will now get more of their oil tankers through the Strait while they kvetch about Trump and the USA. And the US stock market will rally, so $$$$ and then later this year in Nov at the midterms, ignorant American voters will still be whining about the cost of this or that, except for their tattoos and will vote in more Dems (affordability dontcha know) and we lose Congress. As for the Iranian people, well, no one expected or thought the Germans and Japanese were going to rise up and overthrow their masters at the end of World War 2. So I doubt people oppressed for almost 50 years by the mad mullahs and their IRGC henchmen are going to run out into the streets grab, a gun and start revolting. We shall see but I have little faith in the American people - we're not the same as we were 1941-1945. Same for the press.

The Dow Jones Industrial Average soared 1,325 points, or 2.9%, to 47,909.92 — the best day since April 2025. The S&P 500 and Nasdaq jumped 2.5% and 2.8%, respectively. The end of the mullahs’ civilization has been called off, at least for now and probably forever. President Trump is characterizing it positively: President Trump agreed to a two-week pause on military strikes on Iran in a dramatic pivot less than 90 minutes from his 8 p.m. deadline — saying it was subject to Tehran agreeing to reopen the Strait of Hormuz. In a statement on Truth Social, Trump said he spoke with Pakistan’s Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Field Marshal Asim Munir, who urged him to hold off on what he described as a “destructive force” set to be unleashed on Iran.

Democrats and their media allies have worked overtime to paint President Donald Trump as reckless, unstable, and dangerously unfit to lead. The latest excuse for their hysteria came after Trump put pressure on Iran to reopen the Strait of Hormuz, which has been effectively closed since February, cutting off roughly 20% of the world’s oil supply. They’ve been daring the United States to respond ever since, and Trump did respond. And that’s when the left completely lost it. On Tuesday morning, Trump issued a blunt warning on Truth Social. He demanded that Iran reopen the Strait of Hormuz. He set a deadline and made it clear he wasn’t bluffing. He warned

After a Truth Social and X cross-post by the President that promised a civilization-ending demise coming to the Iranian military junta running the country, a couple of things happened. And what they show is that blue states are losing population to red states, and have been for many years. I&I wanted to go deeper, so we used the latest Census data on migration between counties, and compared that with how these counties voted in the past three presidential elections.

Consider the American Federation of Teachers (AFT). With 1.8 million members, the AFT is one of the largest teachers’ unions in the country. It has gained prominence less for advancing classroom outcomes and more for engaging in political activism far removed from instruction. This political activism has been evident recently, as illustrated by AFT president Randi Weingarten speaking at a “No Kings” protest in Minnesota and the organization’s increasing focus on anti-ICE efforts.
