Washington — The Senate confirmed Markwayne Mullin as secretary of the Department of Homeland Security on Monday, finalizing President Trump's shakeup of DHS following months of scrutiny of Kristi Noem's leadership. In a 54-45 vote, the Senate confirmed Mullin, an Oklahoma Republican who's been in the Senate since 2023. Democratic Sens. John Fetterman of Pennsylvania and Martin Heinrich of New Mexico voted in favor of Mullin's confirmation. Sen. Rand Paul of Kentucky was the sole Republican to oppose Mullin. The upheaval at DHS culminated in Noem's ouster as secretary earlier this month. Noem's handling of two deadly shootings by federal agents

Rand Paul has a personal vendetta against Mullin. He represented himself on this vote. Not his constituents. Congress overall has a very low approval rating because they quickly forget why they’re there.

There is no doubt that the leftist Democrats will start slamming Markwayne Mullin the day after he assumes the duties of Secretary of Homeland Security based upon the false claims that they have been making about federal immigration law enforcement all along. The leftist Democrats have been making false claims all along that US immigration officers (ICE) have been wrongfully arresting US Citizens, Permanent Resident Aliens (green card holders) and illegal aliens who should not have been arrested are a joke made for partisan leftist Democrat politics and are not factual. The leftist Democrats have not pointed out any specific instance where US Immigration officers have wrongfully arrested anyone. The only reason that US immigration officers would arrest US Citizens is if they were subject to prosecution in accordance the federal criminal laws to be tried in the Federal Criminal Courts, since US citizens are not subject to being deported under the Federal immigration laws. The only reasons that US Immigration officers would arrest Permanent Resident Aliens is if they were subject to criminal prosecution and or had rendered themselves to be deportable after being found to have committed some sort of fraud against the federal immigration laws, or have been convicted of criminal offenses that render themselves to be deportable aliens. When it comes to US immigration officers arresting aliens in general, under the current federal immigration laws ALL aliens, no matter if they are illegal or legally in the USA who are deportable aliens are subject to be arrested and be placed in federal deportation proceedings. The Federal Immigration and Customs Enforcement Agency (ICE) does not deport any aliens, who they have arrested and detained, before they are granted a deportation hearing before a Federal Immigration Judge who finds the individual respondent alien to be deportable and comes under a final order of deportation. That’s the way it has always been in accordance with both the criminal and immigration laws that have been passed into law by Congress. The leftist Democrats for partisan political purposes are claiming that the Immigration and Customs Enforcement Agency (ICE) and the US Border Patrol should be abolished, with the borders “opened” to all comers from countries around the world, with illegal aliens, who they call migrants, found in the USA, no longer be subject to the consequence of being deported, but should be given a legal immigration status by way of a leftist Democrat designed “comprehensive immigration reform amnesty” and be put on a “path to citizenship” able to be transformed into a leftist, progressive, and socialist Democrat foreign born constituency in unlimited numbers, holding tens of millions of potential leftist Democrat votes, of course to keep the leftist Democrats in permanent future political power to control the Congress, the White House, and the Supreme Court. If those leftist Democrat political dreams ever be come reality, common sense will tell you that the USA would be swamped with untold millions of illegal aliens, including covert criminals and terrorists, from all over the world, who the leftist Democrats believe they could easily transform into followers of the leftist, progressive and socialist Democrat political agenda by promising to provide them with all sorts of “free stuff” and to support them in bringing their extended foreign family members into the USA. Thus making it possible to allow the leftist, progressive, and socialist Democrats to transform the current USA into some form of future socialist utopia.

A CNN reporter was left stunned after security checkpoint wait times dropped from hours to minutes at a major Atlanta airport following President Trump’s deployed ICE agents to assist unpaid TSA agents. Senior National Correspondent Ryan Young reported in disbelief that the presence of unmasked immigration agents at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport sparked a dramatic shift, with travelers zipping through security after weeks of grueling lines amid the partial government shutdown. “Wolf, I almost can’t believe I’m able to say this, the times have dropped off tremendously this morning,” Young told anchor Wolf Blitzer Tuesday morning from inside the major

A California gubernatorial debate was canceled just hours before it was set to occur on Tuesday after mounting criticism that only white candidates in the crowded field had qualified for the event. The criteria to participate in the debate, which was set to be co-sponsored by the University of Southern California and the Los Angeles TV station KABC, had emerged in recent days as a source of controversy in the wide-open race to replace Gov. Gavin Newsom. The sprawling field includes eight prominent Democrats and two major Republicans, as well as several other lesser-known candidates. USC had faced condemnation for
