They’re trying to hold the Transportation Security Administration’s funding hostage until their demands for weakening Immigration and Customs Enforcement are met. That means they’re also subjecting millions of air travelers to added anxiety, and worse, as security-line wait times stretch into hours.

Last month, 12-year-old Ava Little committed suicide. Apparently, she did so because she was being chronically bullied at Byron Middle School, Peach County, Ga.
