Tens of thousands of cattle have been culled in Russia, with fears that the animals were infected by a leak from a bioweapons research plant.
Thousands of animals have been killed amid furious protests from farmers in Siberia, with authorities giving differing accounts as to the reason why.
Some have cited an outbreak of ‘pasteurellosis’, which can normally be treated with antibiotics.
Disease control specialists have told farmers there was also an outbreak of ‘incurable rabies’, without citing evidence.

So Prince William is a good Anglican after all. He has told the Times, through an aide, of his commitment to the Church, on the eve of attending the installation of the new Archbishop of Canterbury. But does he consider himself a Christian believer? The statement awkwardly dances around that question. It leaves the impression that he does not really consider himself a Christian, but knows that he must keep this semi-veiled. The statement is difficult to analyse because the words are not quite his. They come from an aide; he presumably signed them off, but there is an air of vagueness and deniability in such a not-quite-statement.

For nearly a decade, Americans were told that powerful institutions had been weaponized against a sitting president and his supporters. Intelligence agencies, federal law enforcement, and political operatives were accused of bending the machinery of government toward partisan ends. The promise from President Donald Trump was clear: expose it, clean it up, and drain the swamp. Now more than a year into Trump’s second term, many voters are beginning to ask a simple question: Where are the results?

Within Germany the Rhineland-Palatinate regional parliament election was held yesterday. The region is the heart of the German industrial sector and home to the massively important auto-manufacturing sector(map).Chancellor Friedrich Merz’s conservative party the Christian Democratic Union (CDU) won the biggest portion of the election, defeating the Social Democratic Party (SPD) who lost ground in the western area bordering France. However, the biggest electoral gains were for the Alternative for Germany (AfD) party, with gains that more than doubled its previous vote share.

Jeff Webb, a man seen as a “mentor” to the late Turning Point USA founder Charlie Kirk, died Thursday at the age of 76 from a pickleball accident.
Varsity Spirit, the cheerleading organization founded by Webb, announced that Webb suffered from severe head trauma after falling during a pickleball game two weeks before his death. His family eventually decided to take him off life support.
Webb was a conservative political activist and close confidant to Kirk, who died from a gunshot wound to the neck on Sept. 10, 2025. He frequently spoke about Kirk’s impact following the assassination, and once said the nation lost a potential future president.

The Supreme Court ‘s conservative majority on Monday sounded skeptical of state laws that allow the counting of late-arriving mail ballots, a persistent target of President Donald Trump.
The court heard arguments in a case from Mississippi that also could affect voters in 13 other states and the District of Columbia, which have grace periods for ballots cast by mail. An additional 15 states that have more forgiving deadlines for ballots from military and overseas voters also could be impacted.
A ruling is expected by late June, early enough to govern the counting of ballots in the 2026 midterm congressional elections.

The family of Sheridan Gorman, the 18-year-old Loyola University Chicago freshman gunned down near the campus by an illegal alien, unleashed a blistering condemnation of anyone suggesting she somehow contributed to her own killing by being in the "wrong place at the wrong time."
The damning response comes as Chicago Alderwoman Maria Hadden suggested Gorman and her friends may have unintentionally startled the armed suspect.
"The kids were out doing normal things people do in the neighborhood," Hadden told Fox 32. "They may have been in the wrong place at the wrong time, running into a person who had a gun."

There is a cognitive bias called the Dunning–Kruger effect, which -- in my opinion -- would be better called the Obama-Mamdani effect today. Dunning-Kruger describes a delusional mindset where “People with low knowledge or skill in an area tend to overestimate how competent they are.” In biblical terms, this kind of hubris is defined by Paul in Romans 12:3 as one “...think[ing] more highly of oneself than one ought.” That Scripture verse captures the essence of two popular, similar politicians who, despite having little knowledge or skill, have convinced many Americans of an expertise that simply doesn’t exist

Donald Trump just dipsey-doodled the Democrats.
Only Trump can find leverage in the Democrats' TSA defunding — turning those broke, unpaid TSA agents and the disastrously long lines at the nation's airports into a teachable, brilliant, GOTCHA moment to behold. When Democrats figure out what hit them, they'll be so tattooed with this disaster, even the leftist screechers will lead the effort to restore TSA funding.
Things will change soon because local media in the woke cities are covering the increasing freak out by leftists because Donald Trump is replacing missing, unpaid, TSA agents with paid, and perhaps even masked, ICE agents

President Trump announced Monday he is calling off strikes on Iranian power plants for five days, claiming the mullahs in Tehran are now seeking a resolution after feeling the full pressure of his threat.
The President, over the weekend, had given Iran an ultimatum—open the Strait of Hormuz, or he would order the complete obliteration of their power plants within 48 hours. With the deadline ticking down, Trump has given the battered Iranian regime a bit of an extension.

The Wall Street Journal recently reported on the growing divide between blue and red states when it comes to income taxes. What it failed to mention is that this shows the genius of the nation’s founders.
“Republican-led states are racing each other to flatten, cut, and eliminate individual income taxes, with 23 states lowering their top income-tax rates since 2021,” Richard Rubin and Jeanne Whalen write.
And, indeed, this year, nine states – all Republican – either cut their top marginal tax rate or lowered their flat tax rate. Ohio became the 14th state to adopt a flat tax.

Mueller, who died at 81 on Friday night, was the special counsel tasked with investigating allegations that Russia interfered in the 2016 presidential election to benefit President Trump – a claim the current administration asserts was part of a “treasonous conspiracy” orchestrated by the Obama administration to “subvert” Trump.

Politics, they say, makes strange bedfellows. War apparently makes even stranger enemies.
Donald Trump’s decision to fulfill the promise of eight American presidents since 1979 to bring justice to the Iranian terror-sponsoring regime has not just elicited predictable outrage on the left, it has ripped apart the uneasy conservative alliance which brought Trump back to power last year.
The resignation last week of Joe Kent as the director of the National Counterterrorism Center brought into sharp focus the deep divide between Trump and many of those who supported him on the false assumption that he opposed the use of force against foreign enemies, when in fact he has consistently treated it

Republican Oklahoma Gov. Kevin Stitt is reportedly set to temporarily fill the anticipated vacancy of Sen. Markwayne Mullin’s seat with a virtually unknown oil boss who once gave significant money to an anti-Trump congressman.
The governor, who is known to have a strained relationship with President Donald Trump, reportedly selected oil and gas executive Alan Armstrong to succeed Mullin, the junior Republican senator of the Sooner State the president nominated to replace Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Secretary Kristi Noem, pending Senate confirmation. News of the United States (NOTUS) first reported the news late Saturday, citing three anonymous sources. Oklahoma state law stipulates Stitt’s pick can only serve until the end

President Donald Trump is executing the playbook he developed for Venezuela to pressure the communist Cuban regime to capitulate, thereby removing the last major bastion of foreign adversary influence in the Western Hemisphere.
And after essentially cutting off the island’s oil supply, there are signs that the regime is starting to feel the heat.
In the aftermath of the U.S. operation to apprehend Venezuelan dictator Nicolás Maduro earlier this year, the Trump administration has ramped up its pressure on Cuba, a close partner of Maduro and, since its communist revolution in 1959 led by Cuban revolutionary leader Fidel Castro,

Riverside County Sheriff and California gubernatorial candidate Chad Bianco has seized more than 650,000 ballots from last November’s election as part of an investigation into potential discrepancies in the county’s vote count.
The probe follows allegations from the Riverside Election Integrity Team that the county’s tally may have been inflated by more than 45,000 votes.
“This investigation is simple: Physically count the ballots and compare that result with the total votes recorded,” Bianco said at a Friday press conference.
He said the review will determine whether the results are accurate.

As we enter the fourth week of the Iran war (or “excursion”), here are two great ideas about how to deal with some of the consequences — both from outside the Beltway.
In fact, right in New York.
One idea, unusually, is from longtime President Trump critic and former swamp creature Richard Haass, now back in his hometown.
The other is from Wall Street guru Larry Kudlow, Trump’s great friend and former economic advisor.
Both ideas are elegantly unconventional.
In his Substack last week, Haass took a moment from trashing the president to suggest an alternative to boots on the ground for the prickly problem of opening the Strait of Hormuz,

When President Trump ordered the attack on Iran, it was inevitable that he would receive considerable criticism from the Democrats and their mouthpieces in the corporate media. It was also to be expected that some conservatives would offer thoughtful criticisms of his decision to hit Iran. It was surprising, however, when he was denounced by various podcasters, most of whom have been stunningly naïve about Iran’s threat and why Trump had to take action. By far the most clueless of them has been Megyn Kelly.
