Deranged Tucker Carlson backstabs Trump

Original Article

In politics, it is often the people who you think have your back who end up stabbing you there. Nobody knows that better than Donald Trump, who has been stabbed in the back more times than Julius Caesar — yet has still survived. This week, part of the noisy right-wing online podcast-sphere again turned on the president. Leading the virtual charge, again, was Trump’s one-time cheerleader, Tucker Carlson. There was a time when Carlson was fully Team Trump. Carlson often appeared at Trump rallies as part of the warmup act. But in the past year, he has tried to lead the MAGA base away from Trump and down a very dark path.

No expert on British history, even I know that Sir Winston Churchill never imprisoned a member of the opposition party. The head of the Labour Party was in the Churchill government. Imprisoning a facist who seeks to give aid to Hitler seems like a reasonable action when your country’s freedom and existence are at stake. What’s going on with Carlson? Why does he hate Jews? Why does he play with antisemites?

This puts JD in a terrible position. Tucker's betrayal is bad enough on its own, but the friendship also brought Tucker's son into the circle. I certainly wouldn't trust him. JD needs to make his choice. If he doesn't cut ties completely and fuksimely, I think he's throwing his future candidacy away.

I read separately that Trump had Tucker in the WH before starting things with Iran. When Tucker asked Trump about it, Trump told him nothing was going to happen KNOWING Tucker would report the same to his Mus buddies in the ME. That is to say, Trump knew Tucker was sold out and Trump played him. The article suggested that this helped with the surprise on the attack. Played or Back Stabbed Tucker. You decide.

Outsiders Night: GOP ‘Change’ Agents
Rattle Deep-Blue California

In a state that hasn’t elected a Republican governor in nearly two decades and where Democrats outnumber Republicans nearly two to one in registered voters, Tuesday night belonged to two conservative political outsiders who based their campaigns on a simple message: Californians deserve better. Former Fox News host Steve Hilton and reality television veteran Spencer Pratt arrived at their respective races with thinner war chests than their establishment rivals, no prior experience in elected office, and campaigns built less on policy infrastructure than on raw charisma, populist messaging, and an uncomplicated argument: that California leaders had failed, and that change – dramatic, disruptive change – was long overdue.

“It’s a Jackie Robinson moment.” That declaration by House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries struck a curious chord because Jeffries was calling for Black athletes to boycott SEC conference teams to protest not the existence but the elimination of racial discrimination. Jeffries was upset that the court had ended racial gerrymandering designed to guarantee the election of non-white (and largely Democratic) House members. It was as if Jackie Robinson were to join a protest calling for the return of race-based discrimination in baseball.

The Supreme Court’s decision in Louisiana v. Callais, barring racial gerrymandering, has many on the left feigning vapors, despite the predictions of many of us that this result was likely. While figures such as Rep. Jamie Raskin (D-Md.) declared that the court itself has been “gerrymandered” to rig the upcoming elections, this decision is actually the culmination of decades of jurisprudence by various justices — particularly Chief Justice John Roberts.
How Iran Committed Suicide 6 replies

How does the supposedly most fearsome regime in the violent Middle East now find itself on the verge of an utter economic and military collapse? Iran’s half-century-long deadly terrorist reputation peaked with the October 7, 2023, massacre in Israel that it helped fund and coordinate. Iran’s terrorist ambitions of running the Middle East had accelerated after witnessing Joe Biden’s cognitive decline and his administration’s distancing itself from Israel. Biden’s humiliation by a series of Chinese slights and the Russian invasion of Ukraine further eroded American deterrence. European appeasement was another force multiplier of Iranian hubris.

"Monty Python" actor John Cleese warned this week that the world has failed to live up to the ideal of saying "Black lives matter" when it ignores anti-Christian terrorism in Nigeria. Numerous news sources around the world, including The Associated Press, reported that according to local military and officials, at least 26 people were killed in three separate Easter attacks in northern Nigeria. This has caused multiple prominent commentators to not only criticize the terrorism rife in the region, but the silence of the international community that they argue is politically-motivated. "It looks rather as though Black Lives Don't Matter," Cleese lamented

The Rutherford County Library Board in Tennessee fired its top librarian for refusing to move LBGTQ books out of the children’s section. The board voted 8-3 Monday to fire library system director Luanne James after she said she would not move more than 100 LGBTQ books from the children to the adult’s section, The Associated Press reported. The board voted earlier this month to move the books, saying they cause “gender confusion” for young children, especially those going through puberty. “Follow the law,” a Rutherford County school board member said when speaking in favor of moving the books “Protect the children. Now, more than 80 years after the end of the Nazi dictatorship, anyone can click through millions of index cards in the US National Archives without registering, and search for the names of their own grandparents and great-grandparents. The data contains information on 6.6 million Germans who were members of the National Socialist German Workers' Party (NSDAP) until 1945, stored on more than 5,000 digitized microfilm reels. But the records are incomplete: According to the German Historical Museum, in 1945 "one in five adult Germans was one of a total of 8.5 million party members" and thus, at least on paper, supported the fascist regime.

In particular, she wanted to know if the state's professional sports facilities, such as where the Ravens and Orioles play, would be impacted. During her remarks, the GOP Maryland lawmaker also questioned language in the bill ordering "appropriately sized tampons"

Mom’s not the word. New York state Democrats passed a bill to erase words like “mother” and “father” from Family Court Law — in the latest gender-neutral rewriting in the state’s official records. “Mother” would be replaced with “gestating parent” while “father” becomes “non-gestating parent” and “paternity” proceedings would become “parentage” proceedings under the woke bill that was rammed through both houses of the state legislature this week. A “putative father” in paternity proceedings would now be defined as “an alleged parent” under the bill, which was sponsored by liberals Sen. This is in a district where Todd Beamer is buried. You may remember Todd Beamer as the airline passenger on Flight 93 who famously said “Let’s roll” as his last known words, referring to other passengers as they prepared to retake control of the plane, which crashed into a field in rural Pennsylvania instead of somewhere in DC. This is what Democrats have come to. Utterly shameful.
