Maryland Gov. Wes Moore is facing fresh allegations of having exaggerated his military experience, after a yearlong Spotlight on Maryland investigation yielded “no documentary evidence” to support his claim of having “led soldiers into combat in Afghanistan.”
(Snip) In a May 2022 post on X, Moore wrote, “When I was an Army captain and led soldiers into combat in Afghanistan, we lived by a simple principle: Leave no one behind.”
(Snip) According to the Sun, “Military records reviewed by Spotlight show no evidence that Moore, a lieutenant assigned as a brigade headquarters staff officer, experienced firefights in Afghanistan as his public narrative conveys.”

Captains Walz and Blumenthal were running into battle right beside him, multiple wounds bleeding and machine guns blazing.

Uh, sir, uh, Captain Wes, the phrase you're looking for has always been, "Leave no MAN behind," except for one large voting block in the Democrat base where it gets transformed into, "Leave no man's behind."

"Led soldiers into combat"....yeah, right. I'm sure we will find out that he operated the drink machine in the cafeteria or some similar "combat leadership" position. Dems, especially this type, ALWAYS lie about their resume, especially military resume.

Those of us in Maryland who are paying attention don't give a rat's rear end about Moore's military service. We just want him gone. While the media's focus is on California and it's descending into hell, Maryland is getting there faster. Half the state votes Republican, but because of the gerrymandering, there is one Republican representative from Maryland. The fees for everything have doubled, and they were high to begin with. The state has at least a three-billion-dollar deficit which when Moore ended office there was a two-billion-dollar surplus. The state's sheriffs are up in arms about the don't help ICE bill that was passed. We have a bridge to nowhere which now is going to cost twice as much to build and take at least two years longer to complete than forecasted. The idiots in Moore's office fired the contractor that was doing the beginning fazes of the bridge. Why? No explanation has ever been released. We just assume that the kickbacks that the contractor gave wasn't enough. The demosluts love the guy, because he is the second coming of Obozo.

#4: Buttigieg had a similar motto: "Never leave your buddies' behind!"
#7: Apparently, Moore went into the men's room, and another couple of soldiers went in right behind him. It was written up that he "led" those men into a hostile (smelling) environment

geez. I will never understand the need to be some kind of war hero. As a Nam veteran, who Charlie apparently didn't see as enough of a threat to engage.,I thank God I came home in one piece. Thousands of American warfighters go into harm's way; those who come home in flag draped boxes gave the ultimate and are the real heroes. Tens of thousands of American men and women offer their services and do incredible things; They get participation medals which get stuffed away and eventually found by progeny who wonder what they are all about because no one wanted to talk about it.
Wes, Thank you for your service. You don't need to embellish it.

I give credit to anyone who serves in uniform. Even those on an office staff sometimes get killed by errant missiles or accidents. But relatively few servicemen actually see combat. In this day and age it's easy to confirm actual experiences and expose the liars.

When I sailed the Spanish Main leading my men, we didn't take any guff from Blackbeard or any of those guys. Still have my well-worn cutlass somewhere.

Exactly, #3. He’s a REMF. In the Marine Corps, he’d be called a “pogue”.

Why do Dems always present themselves as something they are not?
Because they would never get elected otherwise, if voters knew the real story.

Moore not only didn't "volunteer" for military service, me was several years late late in fulfilling the military service obligation he incurred by receiving an ROTC scholarship as an undergraduate.

#3 and #15: Exactly! In the rear with the gear. They do vital jobs, but they are not usually in direct combat.
Air support, artillery support, naval gunfire support, logistics support, intelligence support, medical support, etc.
GRUNT! Everything else is just support.
Only infantry can hold ground and take prisoners.
There, I said it.

my brother Jim was awarded a Bronze star with a V for valor during the Viet Nam war. He never talked about it, I don't think our parents even knew about it. A couple of years ago, he said something to another brother that he had a Bronze Star and that brother looked into it and sure enough he had. He and a mate had disarmed a grenade launcher that had a dud in it. (I hope I'm explaining this correctly). it could have gone off killing both of them, but they saved a few other soldiers lives by what they did. It's amazing how those who brag about an award that was never deserved and those who got the award never say a thing.

Surprise this clown with the latest military weapon, the M7, and tell him he has 2 minutes to disassemble, clean and reassemble. There is NO WAY he can do it. I learned to do my M16 in Viet Nam blind folded.

My incompetent, devious governor. We will never get a good governor in Maryland, given the large population of government workers and demographics. Moore has no qualities to recommend him except a smile, his skin color, and slick talk. But some Dems think he would make a good president, and he agrees.
