We’ve grown used to the media’s joining with the Democrats to attack every move by the President, but it is still something to watch the lies and distortions about the war in Iran where the press smears the troops in the middle of battle. Using the latest technology and working closely with the IDF and IAF, our military has achieved the most remarkable, unpredicted achievements in a matter of days. On the other hand, most major media coverage denigrates this accomplishment and regrettably advocates for our enemies.

State legislators recently pelted Greg Lucas, the leader of the California State Library, with questions about the funds during a budget hearing on education, the New York Post reported on Friday. The issue is connected to a foundation started by Parton called Imagination Library, which delivers free books to children. The program was set to be statewide in California in 2023, according to WJHL.
The outlet noted Parton created her library in 1995 to provide free books in her home county in east Tennessee.During the hearing, state Sen. Shannon Grove (R) told Lucas he did not have documentation to show where the money went.

The Republican Party is not split over the Iran war — but that doesn’t mean it can simply ignore the crank fringe bewailing and assailing President Donald Trump’s actions.
Polls show that 85% of Republicans back the attacks, and doubts are even more rare among the MAGA wing.
That should shock no one: Since the start of his second term (at least), the prez has enjoyed very high levels of support and approval within his party, and Epic Fury doesn’t change that.
Opinion could well shift if the war turns into a disaster of some kind, or a quagmire “forever war,” of course.

Oil pumping operations are expected to begin imminently off the coast of California after President Trump issued an executive order Friday to resume oil drilling operations near Santa Barbara, The Post has learned.
Officials for Sable Offshore Corp. informed local fire officials of their intent to “resume pumping operations within 24 hours.”
The notification is a standard protocol for industrial activities involving hazardous materials pipelines.
“This coordination allows the department to maintain readiness for potential emergency response, including resource staging, personnel alerting, and collaboration with other agencies, in the event of any incident such as a leak, spill, or fire,” Fire Chief Garrett Huff said in a statement to The Post.

A federal judge on Friday blocked subpoenas issued by the Justice Department as part of its criminal investigation into Federal Reserve Chair Jerome Powell’s handling of renovations of the central bank’s Washington headquarters.
U.S. Attorney for the District of Columbia Jeanine Pirro, an appointee of Republican President Donald Trump whose office is spearheading the investigation, promised to appeal Chief U.S. District Judge James Boasberg’s decision.
Powell, a frequent target of Trump’s ire, disclosed the investigation on Jan. 11, calling it a threat to the Fed’s political independence.

America First is more than a matter of policy—it is a matter of industrial muscle. For too long, America’s manufacturing industry has dwindled while the creation of new, innovative infrastructure to support our nation has stalled. Now more than ever, we must put America first in how we build, starting with the strategic resources that underpin our entire economy. When I served as U.S. Ambassador to the Kingdom of Denmark, I increased U.S. exports to Denmark. We achieved this by championing fair policies that strengthened our industrial base and bolstered the domestic economy. Yet we keep falling into the same trap, outsourcing the production of key industrial inputs to foreign powers—

President Trump on Friday evening announced the US military carried out its “most powerful bombing raids” in the history of the Middle East.
“Moments ago, at my direction, the United States Central Command executed one of the most powerful bombing raids in the History of the Middle East, and totally obliterated every MILITARY target in Iran’s crown jewel, Kharg Island,” Trump said on Truth Social.
“Our Weapons are the most powerful and sophisticated that the World has ever known but, for reasons of decency, I have chosen NOT to wipe out the Oil Infrastructure on the Island.”

They’re not on our side.
Millions of Republican voters are scratching their heads, wondering why they should send Republicans to Washington, D.C. when they refuse to represent their voters.
Voter ID has the approval of 84% of the American public — that’s Democrats and Republicans!
But John Thune refuses to pass the legislation with his Republican majority, knowing that the GOP will then lose the midterms. He really owes it to Republican voters to explain why he hates them so much. That’s the least he could do.
What a wicked man.
Thune was out bloviating about how he can’t pass the SAVE America Act again on Wednesday. This guy is the absolute worst.

Rep. Kevin Kiley's, Calif., departure from the GOP this week has further narrowed the party's majority in the lower chamber and has him thinking that some lawmakers may follow his lead and create an independent block in Congress, or even a third party.
Kiley formally left the GOP this week and became an independent, though he continues to caucus with the GOP. He previously announced his intent to seek reelection as an independent instead of as a Republican. The move followed California Democrats redrawing his congressional district to heavily favor their party.

The former FBI agent who ran the bureau’s warrantless spying program said this week that he personally witnessed the director and other senior officials recruiting agents based on political leanings, not qualifications, during Director James Comey’s tenure.
Bassem Youssef, a retired special agent who ran the FBI’s Communications Analysis Unit from late 2004 until his retirement in late 2014, also says he warned senior officials about the potential for civil liberties abuses in the surveillance program that he oversaw, but said neither Comey nor the White House took his warnings seriously.

Sen. Ron Johnson, R-Wis., says putting the SAVE America Act on the Senate floor for a “one-and-done” vote, as seemingly suggested by Senate Majority Leader John Thune, R-S.D., would be a “disastrous” failure.
“We ignore our base at our own peril, and we don’t want to dispirit our base,” Johnson said. “And right now, that’s kind of the path we’re going on.”
After an enormous amount of pressure from the Republican base and the White House, Thune announced this week that he plans to bring the SAVE America Act up for a floor vote. The legislation would require voter ID and proof of American citizenship to register to vote.
