Just over a month into Democratic Virginia Gov. Abigail Spanberger’s term, one of the nation’s largest defense contractors is moving its headquarters out of her state. Boeing announced Wednesday that it will relocate its Defense, Space & Security headquarters to St. Louis, where the division was based from 1997 to 2017. The company previously moved the unit to Chicago and then to Arlington in 2022 during the administration of former Republican Gov. Glenn Youngkin. The move represents a significant shift for Boeing, which employs roughly 18,000 people in the St. Louis region. Department of War Secretary Pete Hegseth joined Republican Missouri Gov. Great plan. Run off your taxpayers so you can take care of the leeches. How long will it be before they beg the rest of the country to bail them out? The same with NYC and its coming financial crash.

I’m a 40+ year resident of northern Virginia and live right off the Route 28 tech corridor. Believe me, this does not make any difference. The contractors all want to be near the money and power. The Commonwealth will soon be a southern annex to the s#$tholes of Maryland and the District. Completely unlivable.

The United States Commission of Fine Arts voted Thursday to approve the final designs of the White House East Wing Modernization project as the Trump administration aims to kick off aboveground construction in April. A final vote was not expected until the Commission of Fine Arts’s (CFA) next meeting in March, but Trump-appointed CFA Chairman Rodney Mims Cook Jr. made the motion to accelerate the federal design review panel’s approval process. "Our sitting president has actually designed a very beautiful structure,” Cook commented before calling for a vote. “The United States just should not be entertaining the world in tents.”

Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN) revealed at a townhall meeting on Wednesday that Democrats don’t just want to abolish the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), but they are actually planning how to dismantle the U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) entirely. “What I will say is that there is an easier conversation happening today than six, seven years ago when I got to Congress, about what we need to do with ICE, which is to abolish it,” Omar told her audience during the townhall meeting. The Democrat congresswoman further revealed, “There is a lot of conversation about what the dismantlement of the Department of Homeland Security should look like.”

The latest business to pick up and leave the high-tax, high-regulation, high-crime nightmare of Illinois may be its iconic professional football franchise. The governor of Indiana, Mike Braun, announced Thursday morning that a "framework" had been reached for a final deal that would move the Chicago Bears about 20 miles south from Soldier Field to Hammond, Ind. "Indiana is open for business, and our pro-growth environment continues to attract major opportunities like this partnership with the Chicago Bears," Braun said. "The State of Indiana moves at the speed of business, and we've demonstrated that through our quick coordination between state agencies, local government, and the legislature

The U.S. Postal Service system of handling and delivering mail ballots often leads to rejected or late ballots, election security advocates contend. The Election Integrity Network issued two recent reports on the handling of mail ballots by postal employees and the use of regional mail processing centers across state lines. The reports claim that current practices could either result in delayed ballots or confusion over postmarks during an election. In the 2022 election, 549,824 mail ballots were rejected, about 1.5% of all absentee/mail-in ballots, the U.S. Election Assistance Commission found. Common reasons for rejected ballots include non-matching signatures and missed deadlines.

NYPD Harbor Unit officers described on Wednesday the incredible moment they rescued an injured bald eagle clinging to ice in the Hudson River. Freedom rang for the stranded bird on Tuesday afternoon when four eagle-eyed cops (pun intended) spotted it floating on some ice in the frosty waters. The officers were patrolling the area to check the ice flow when they sensed trouble and immediately made their way to the animal, which was squawking in pain. “We used our binoculars, and we realized that it was a bird. As we got closer, we realized it was an American Eagle, and at that point, we had to kind of figure out what

That list includes Sen. Chris Murphy (D-CT), considered a 2028 presidential hopeful, as well as Rep. Greg Casar (D-TX), the chairman of the Congressional Progressive Caucus.

Democrat Illinois Governor J.B. Pritzker unveiled his suburban Section 8 plan during his annual State of the State address, which he gave Wednesday. Taking aim at single family homeowners in the Chicago suburbs, Pritkzer said their “shameful” opposition to taxpayer-subsidized Section 8 apartments are responsible for driving up the cost of Illinois housing. The UK is refusing to grant permission to the US to use British bases to strike Iran, according to The Times. US President Donald Trump’s withdrawal of support for the UK plans to give up sovereignty over the Chagos Islands in the Indian Ocean — which includes the key Diego Garcia airfield — stems from the British refusal, reports the UK paper. According to the report, US plans included the use of Diego Garcia and the RAF Fairford base in England, both of which can only be used to strike if the UK government agrees. British PM Keir Starmer is concerned the Iran strike might violate international law.

In a 6-3 decision, the Supreme Court ruled that President Trump exceeded his authority

Disgraced ex-Prince Andrew was arrested Thursday on suspicion of misconduct in public office for allegedly forwarding confidential trade documents to pedophile pal Jeffrey Epstein. At least six unmarked police cars and around eight plain-clothed officers swooped on the king’s brother’s Sandringham Estate in eastern England early Thursday — Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor’s 66th birthday. If convicted on the misconduct charge, the former prince faces a maximum sentence of life in prison. One officer was seen carrying a police-issued laptop after arriving at Sandringham at around 8 a.m., with the cars leaving around 30 minutes later. Police also searched a separate property in Berkshire, the force said, without directly identifying the king’s brother, citing strict UK laws.

It’s a reality that flies in the face of some of the talk after that race, in which Democrats talked about turning the page, with some calling for the party to move on from a stale playbook and to look for new leaders. It all underscores the paradox Democrats are facing in their rebuilding efforts: Which parts of their messaging and leadership do they want to overhaul, and what
