The Trump Administration Officially Kills
DEI at the FAA

Last year's deadly midair collision at Reagan National Airport, which killed all 67 people aboard an American Airlines plane and a U.S. Army helicopter, was a wake-up call that many on the left refused to hear. President Donald Trump, however, understood the problem and sought to fix it. He pointed directly at the Barack Obama and Joe Biden DEI policies that prioritized checkbox diversity over actual competence in air traffic control. He was absolutely right. Air traffic control whistleblowers confirmed that the FAA's obsession with Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion initiatives has led to a shortage of qualified personnel. These disastrous policies began under Obama, were reversed during Trump’s first term, and then

Strongly agree that DEI (Didn't Earn It) has NO place in hiring, especially in safety-critical positions. However, my understanding is that the airliner pilots were not at fault in the named collision. I agree that the FAA "issued a mandatory "Operations Specification" that forces every commercial airline to commit to merit-based hiring for pilots." is the right thing to do, but it would not have made any difference here. My understanding is that the main causes of this particular crash were: 1) A dangerous design of designated flight paths, with a low-level helicopter flight path at 200-ft above ground level passing below the airport final approach flight path, where airliners on the correct approach path are at what- 400- to 500-ft altitude, clearing each other by what.... 200 to 300 feet- if EVERYTHING is 'perfect'. 2) The helicopter pilots -conducting a training flight at night, were using night-vision equipment that greatly limited the field of view of both the pilot undergoing training and the instructor pilot. They could not see the approaching airliner coming in from their left side. 3) Misunderstanding verbal communication - I think with one radio transmission partly blocking another transmission- just prior to the crash. The controller was trying to warn the helicopter pilots of the approaching airliner, but the helicopter pilots likely thought that the controller was telling them about a different airliner, one that had already crossed the chopper's flight path, 4) The helicopter pilot flying at -or perhaps just climbing to- 400 feet above ground level, rather than remaining at the required 200 feet, which put them at a collision height with the airliner. 5) The airliner pilots at that point are looking at the runway, doing their final line-up for touchdown. It would be very difficult for them to pick out the lights of the helicopter coming in from their right side, particularly as the chopper was below them, and it's lights would blend in with the myriad of lights on the ground. I'm a private pilot and I have driven boats on the Potomac River -in daylight and at night- in the vicinity right where the crash happened. Flying at 200-feet (the Potomac river is tidal at that point, 'above sea level' and 'above ground level' altitudes are nearly the same at that location)... at night, in an urban location with who-knows-what kind of towers and antennas sticking up (I believe that towers less than 200-ft are not required to have anticollision lights) and who-knows-what kind of of visual 'ground clutter' from both stationary and moving vehicle lights..... is just crazy dangerous. Also having two aircraft having an intended intersection with just 200-ft vertical separation- is again just crazy dangerous, even in daylight clear-blue-sky conditions. Given the overall situation, it is a wonder that there have not already been many crashes at that location. It would be easy to scream 'DEI' and blame the lady pilot who was receiving the training, but in my opinion they had her flying into a near death-trap.

U.S. Customs and Border Protection officers discovered more than $6.8 million worth of cocaine hidden inside a Valentine’s rose shipment at the Texas-Mexico border. The massive drug bust at Laredo’s World Trade Bridge on February 10 yielded approximately 516 pounds of cocaine concealed among fresh flowers. Officials reported the haul contained enough cocaine for roughly 190,000 lethal doses. A CBP officer flagged the tractor-trailer for secondary inspection after it arrived at the crossing. The driver had declared the cargo as roses and fresh flowers. Officers deployed a canine team and non-intrusive imaging technology during their search. They discovered 211 packages of alleged cocaine tucked within the floral shipment.

Secretary of State Marco Rubio is making it clear to the world’s migrants that they do not have a right to immigrate to the United States. During a press conference in Budapest, Hungary, alongside Prime Minister Viktor Orbán, Rubio said that the U.S. under the Trump administration is singularly focused on what benefits and does not benefit the national interest. Part of that, Rubio said, is ensuring that foreign nationals are aware that they do not have a right to a visa in the U.S. “My job at the State Department is, if I identify someone who I believe — someone who is a visitor, a guest in the United States —

The United States once regularly resettled migrants from the most corrupt nations in the world across American communities, a new analysis details. Last year, though, President Donald Trump halted much of this immigration via executive orders. The analysis, published by the Center for Immigration Studies, looked at countries whose nationals Trump’s executive orders have either entirely or partially banned from immigrating to the United States. In particular, the analysis highlights corruption levels on a nation-by-nation basis, showing that in Fiscal Year 2024, and likely prior years, the U.S. issued visas to tens of thousands of foreign nationals from the most corrupt countries in the world. South Sudan, for example, is ranked as

WASHINGTON — Far-left New York City Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez is being widely mocked for erroneously claiming that Venezuela is “below the equator” while trying to show off her foreign-policy chops in Germany. Venezuela sits just above the equator, but that didn’t stop the Democratic socialist — who majored in international relations at Boston University — from making the embarrassing gaffe while speaking at a Technical University of Berlin panel Sunday. “[Nicolas] Maduro canceled elections. He was an anti-democratic leader,” Ocasio-Cortez said, describing the Venezuela elections that took place under the Maduro regime and which many international organizations have said were rigged. “That doesn’t mean that we can kidnap a head of state

An internal Immigration and Customs Enforcement memo proposes a sweeping “detention reengineering” initiative aimed at fixing the system’s most chronic failures — overcrowded facilities, slow transfers, and deportation backlogs that allow criminal aliens to cycle repeatedly through American communities. The proposal, backed by frontline ICE personnel and major law enforcement groups, would expand detention capacity, streamline processing, and accelerate removals of offenders who currently linger in local jails for weeks or walk free due to lack of space. The February 13 memo, marked “For Official Use Only” and published on the New Hampshire governor’s website, states that the initiative is needed to address the agency’s orders

Many remarked upon the hideous appearance of the alleged meat, as well as the deranged grin on Spanberger's face—the manic visage of an overmedicated wine mom about to mow down a rival's goldendoodle with her luxury SUV. For those of us who’ve been most passionate about defeating the mandates and regulations designed to impose an all-EV future, we understood that it wasn’t really about replacing gasoline-powered internal combustion (“ICE”) vehicles with electric vehicles. Rather, the goal was to eliminate all personal transportation freedom, and by outlawing ICE vehicles, the battle would be halfway won, ... Here in the U.S., blue states are pivoting toward mileage caps, which would establish maximum “vehicle miles traveled” (“VMT”) allowed for an entire state, with regulators then creating “incentives” to reduce individual driving so as to achieve the VMT objective.

DENVER — A bill introduced into the Colorado State Senate last week would make Colorado the first state in the U.S. to fully decriminalize prostitution if it became law. Senate Bill 26-097 would require the entire state to decriminalize “commercial sexual activity among consenting adults,” both for people who buy sex and who would sell it. This would be unique in the U.S., as the only other states with any form of legal prostitution, Maine and Nevada, still have certain rules around it. In Nevada, for instance, prostitution is only legal within licensed houses of prostitution, or brothels, and some
