The Week in Pictures: Bugs Bunny Halftime Edition

Original Article

I am calling for a complete and total shutdown of all Super Bowl halftime shows until we can figure out what the hell is going on. Moreover, I am calling for President Trump to appoint a bipartisan commission of inquiry chaired by Bugs Bunny, with full subpoena power over Bad Bunny, Good Bunny, and Okay Bunny. Also Roger Goodell, who I am renaming Roger Badell. I vote for next year’s halftime show to be Bugs Bunny and Weird Al Yankovic. Just be sure to check everyone’s ID before they vote.

A Bugs Bunny halftime show would be a great idea! Just don't let the left near it. They screw everything up.

It's simple Marketing masquerade. If the halftime show really sucks then the game doesn't seem so bad. I wouldn't know, I haven't seen a game since the Redskins were the Redskins.

What the hell is going on is that the NFL has had the rapper Jay Z in charge of the festivities since 2019. A real wholesome kinda middle America guy. We are getting just what they intended us to get. Garbage. Just quit watching.

Well chances are by contracting out their Super Bowl halftime show to be performed in the Spanish language, the motive of the big time NFL high “Mucky-Mucks” was to try to boost up NFL football in the Spanish speaking world, where soccer rules the roost these days. Did the NFL high “Mucky-Mucks know that the Spanish language presentation would be so low life, at the moment who knows?

The disclosures from the Epstein files have been enlightening to say the least, particularly if you wonder if you are seeing what you think you're seeing. More to the point, do you remember that 2023 lawsuit against candidate Donald Trump from E. Jean Carroll? That’s the one where Carroll, who is now 82 years old, waited all these years and, after two of Trump’s presidential races and one term as president, decided to sue the billionaire on allegations of defamation, rape, and sexual abuse. The case was mostly based on unsubstantiated accusations that Trump sexually abused and raped Carroll in 1996, 23 years earlier.

Team Trump and other Republicans decided to use Valentine's Day as an excuse to have a lighthearted time of things on social media, with simple parodies of classic holiday greeting cards to complex videos with policy messaging included within their love letter-esque form. We'll start with the least engaging posts first, as well-meaning and good-natured in spirit as they might be. Republicans on the House Oversight Committee reminded everyone with their missive for the holiday that former President Joe Biden (or someone at the White House acting on his behalf) used that autopen a little too often:

Former Secretary of State and twice-filed presidential candidate headlined a panel at the Munich Security Conference Saturday called “Girls Just Want to Have Fundamental Rights: Fighting the Global Pushback.” After railing against supposed “anti-gender” and "anti-rights” movements that threaten females, Clinton turned the microphone over to her second guest — the first "female" one — openly transgender lawmaker Rep. Sarah McBride (DE-at-large). Clinton said McBride is someone who tried "to explain and truly bring people together around issues of gender.” “She’s a gender rights champion,” the one-time First Lady proclaimed. McBride wasted no time in blasting the United States for its supposed war on transgenders:

"What are you doing? You should probably go do your job where your job lives." These are only some of the actual words a boorish, self-entitled woke woman told a deputy sheriff while interrogating him about why he was sitting in his car outside of a school in Thurston County, Wash. It was an exchange she recorded and consciously put on social media to show the world her "bravery" in speaking truth to power. And it completely backfired on her. We have every right to ask questions of law enforcement, but this woman's moment of "bravery" instead outside of Seven Oaks Elementary School looked studied and mean. What she actually

I have a hard time resisting Monty Python references these days, which is why I used one of the more famous lines from Monty Python and the Holy Grail as my headline, despite the fact that it only sorta fits my essay. Monty Python caught the absurdity of modern leftist ideology well before most people did, with its famous scenes like this one: (X) Not to mention "Loretta," which predicted the alphabet movement long before it burst out into the mainstream, and again linked it to the Anarcho-Marxist line of thinking.

"A million here, a million there, and pretty soon you’re talking real money," Sen. Everett Dirksen is supposed to have said more than 50 years ago, and if you do that 370 times, according to California Republican gubernatorial candidate Steve Hilton, you might have enough to cover the Golden State taxpayer dollars diverted into Democrat "voter machines." The details get a little technical — money laundering isn't supposed to be easy to follow, after all — so I'll break down Hilton's allegations as quickly and cleanly as possible before we get to the big picture. Climate alarmist Michael Mann was for quite a few years the go-to “climate scientist” in the left-wing press. But the Associated Press’s sub silentio deletion of Mann from its story on the Trump administration’s revocation of the Obama administration’s CO2 endangerment finding suggests that Mann may have lost that status. The Associated Press is, of course, on the Democratic Party’s team on this issue. They are wrong, but that isn’t the point here. The AP’s story is titled “Trump set to gut U.S. climate change policy and environmental regulations: White House official.” It begins: The Trump administration is expected this week to revoke a scientific finding that long has been

You had to figure that Disney's live(ish)-action Snow White reboot would lose money, but even my eyes watered when I read this morning that the oft-derided musical lost about $170 million. But get this, had Disney not produced the movie in the U.K. — and received a reported $65 million (!!!) in tax credits — then Snow White would have lost the Mouse House a jaw-dropping $235 million... ...and entered the Hollywood Hall of Shame as one of the 10 biggest money-losing movie of all time, somewhere between Disney's 2012 stinker, John Carter, and Peter Berg's Battleship from the same year. A horrible tragedy occurred yesterday in Canada when a killer, later identified as a “trans identifying woman,” shot nine people to death and injured 27 others, before turning the gun on himself. The Canadian establishment has been desperate to hide the truth about the shooter, but this was not a secret the establishment could sit on. The shooting took place at the Tumbler Ridge Secondary School in tiny Tumbler Ridge, a remote rural community in British Columbia. The killer began by murdering two people at a home, then headed for the secondary school (grades 7-12), where he opened fire. Six people died on school grounds, and one died en route

They’re all useful idiots. That must have been Roger Goodell’s opinion of typical NFL fans as he force-fed them Bad Bunny’s Super Bowl halftime show — a seamy spectacle that made parents cringe and would make a lefty college professor proud. And the NFL commissioner may have a point. The typical NFL fan — who skews right of center politically, a male and often a Trump voter — appears to be a glutton for left-wing punishment. In fact, the Bad Bunny fiasco appears to be symptomatic of the NFL’s broader, cynical business wager: It believes all those working-class white dudes who voted for Trump — those useful idiots —

The reference to the weather was, in fact, a reference to Mamdani’s massive mishandling of Winter Storm Fern.

In the latest beating, Jennings repeatedly asks co-commentator Alencia Johnson to back up her claim that voter ID laws are unfair to black Americans. While debating the SAVE Act, which would greatly improve voter integrity nationwide by requiring ID, a topic that is widely supported by constituents on both sides of the aisle, Jennings pressed Johnson on “how” the proposed law would “disenfranchise” black people, as she claimed. Johnson evaded the direct question with tired talking points and baseless accusations before Jennings got to the meat of the matter. “You’ve yet to lay out HOW,” Jennings said.

Redistricting Betrayal in Virginia 14 replies
Posted by gaboy 2/16/2026 1:56:09 AM Post Reply
Five years ago, two-thirds of Virginia voters passed a referendum that ostensibly eliminated partisan gerrymandering from the congressional redistricting process that follows each decennial census. This amended the commonwealth’s constitution such that redistricting would thence forth be carried out by the Virginia Redistricting Commission (VRC) rather than state politicians burdened by conflicts of interest. This bill of goods was sold to the Old Dominion’s voters as “election reform” by a very expensive public relations campaign run by various Democrat-affiliated activist groups. It was obvious that the VRC would be jettisoned when it no longer served Democrat interests.
