Is Michael Mann Finished? [Updated]

Climate alarmist Michael Mann was for quite a few years the go-to “climate scientist” in the left-wing press. But the Associated Press’s sub silentio deletion of Mann from its story on the Trump administration’s revocation of the Obama administration’s CO2 endangerment finding suggests that Mann may have lost that status. The Associated Press is, of course, on the Democratic Party’s team on this issue. They are wrong, but that isn’t the point here. The AP’s story is titled “Trump set to gut U.S. climate change policy and environmental regulations: White House official.” It begins: The Trump administration is expected this week to revoke a scientific finding that long has been

Michael Mann should be in prison for fabricating science and peddling it as facts. Worse, he sued anyone who questioned his slop. Even worse, government policies worldwide were enforced on his fraudulent findings. Hundreds of billions if not trillions were spent, reputations and lives ruined because of this fraudster.

You had to figure that Disney's live(ish)-action Snow White reboot would lose money, but even my eyes watered when I read this morning that the oft-derided musical lost about $170 million. But get this, had Disney not produced the movie in the U.K. — and received a reported $65 million (!!!) in tax credits — then Snow White would have lost the Mouse House a jaw-dropping $235 million... ...and entered the Hollywood Hall of Shame as one of the 10 biggest money-losing movie of all time, somewhere between Disney's 2012 stinker, John Carter, and Peter Berg's Battleship from the same year. I could go over all the reasons

A horrible tragedy occurred yesterday in Canada when a killer, later identified as a “trans identifying woman,” shot nine people to death and injured 27 others, before turning the gun on himself. The Canadian establishment has been desperate to hide the truth about the shooter, but this was not a secret the establishment could sit on. The shooting took place at the Tumbler Ridge Secondary School in tiny Tumbler Ridge, a remote rural community in British Columbia. The killer began by murdering two people at a home, then headed for the secondary school (grades 7-12), where he opened fire. Six people died on school grounds, and one died en route

Today must be my day for trashing Pravda. Already, I have trashed Peggy Noonan's lament for the Washington Post, and contrasted her fantastical idea of what the media's relationship to truth is with the fact that the Post lionizes Adam Schiff as a model Democrat who is trying to save democracy. Noonan writes for The Wall Street Journal, so I trashed it. The Washington Post is the "gold standard" for political coverage, and I trashed them. So next, I need to trash the New York Times to complete a trifecta. Jamelle Bouie gives me that opportunity, as it happens. He is a columnist for the Times and has been called

Global warming morphed into climate change so that liberals could complain about any inconvenient weather and blame it on free enterprise. Thus, we have the absurd situation where liberals claim that “climate change” causes both excessive heat and excessive cold, whichever happens to be occurring at the moment. This makes no sense. Saying that climate change causes warmer (or colder) weather is circular. It is like saying that my weight change caused me to get heavier. Blaming both heat and cold on climate change is like saying that my weight change caused me to get both heavier and lighter, at different times. In any event, it isn’t true. Both extreme heat

As we’ve reported, the Washington Post has laid off hundreds of staff as their years of gaslighting, serving as a mouthpiece for the Democrat party, and acting as an outlet for progressive fanaticism have finally caught up to them and bitten them in the tuchus. Lying, performative theatrics, and endless virtue signaling have a way of coming back at you in the modern age, especially when you have platforms like RedState and X bringing you the truth. As if to prove their point that they are anti-American propagandists, the outlet penned a love letter for a familiar figure as they feted his toxic past efforts to

As a public service, then, let me educate potential Democrats on what will be necessary for them to fit in with their fellow donkeys. The following are things you must believe in and loudly advocate for, lest your fellow Dems suddenly turn on you and visit, bearing torches and pitchforks: Killing People Dems just love to kill people, especially unborn babies. Doesn’t matter how far along in gestation an unborn human is; Democrats are always ready to off him or her. Or zem. Whatever...

It's a question that I had not put too much thought into until recently, but in light of the revelations over the past year from DOGE, the current fraud investigations in Minnesota, Oregon, Maine, and California (and I hope that will soon expand to all 50 states), it really has struck me that a huge proportion of our economy is probably just money laudering. Of course, we all understood at some vague level that there had to be a large amount of money laundering going on. The illegal drug trade alone is worth hundreds of billions of dollars, and that is just one portion of a large black market.

We saw how some deranged, sick leftists celebrated the murder of Turning Point USA co-founder Charlie Kirk after his brutal assassination in September 2025. It’s one thing to oppose someone’s viewpoints; it’s another to take joy in their killing. One of the worst of the lot was UCLA DEI chief Jonathan Perkins, and he just found out that his demented views are too much for even the administrators of that woke institution. He has no regard for the sanctity of human life, but evidently, we’re supposed to cry over his pets: UCLA finally fired its DEI chief months after the woke administrator publicly celebrated the assassination of conservative activist Charlie Kirk —

It is not momentous events that are the most meme-worthy. Rather, it is moments when liberals show their true colors and embarrass themselves, often in relatively trivial ways, that set meme-creators to work. This week, along with the ongoing fiasco in Minnesota, we had severel such events. The Washington Post, hemorrhaging losses, laid off a large portion of its staff, causing its newly-unemployed reporters to demonstrate outside the building. They marched in defense of the moral principle that Jeff Bezos is obliged to support them forever, no matter how much money they lose. I wonder whether some of the newly-laid-off demonstrators have been covering economics for the Post. Also, more Epstein documents

Chuck Schumer found himself in an awkward spot this week when confronted with polling data that completely undercut his attack on voter ID laws. The Senate Minority Leader appeared on MSNOW's Morning Joe on Thursday to discuss the GOP-backed SAVE Act, which would require proof of citizenship to vote in federal elections. What followed was the exemplification of political discomfort. Earlier in the week, CNN's chief analyst Harry Enten dropped some numbers that should make Democrats rethink their messaging on election security. Voter ID requirements enjoy overwhelming bipartisan support, with approval ratings consistently above 75% across demographics.

One thing we should never see is judges high-fiving criminals at parties; they enforce the law, not celebrate those who mock it. Neutrality demands distance from chaos, especially when robes hang in the closet. Attending events that trash law enforcement turns impartiality into a punchline. Blackburn's Call for Probe Sen. Marsha Blackburn (R-Tenn.) urged Chief Justice John Roberts to investigate Supreme Court Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson. Blackburn pointed to Jackson's attendance at the Grammy Awards on Jan. 29 in Los Angeles. "While it is by no means unheard of or unusual for a Supreme Court justice to attend a public function, very rarely—if ever—have justices of our nation’s highest Court been present

More than a million dollars will soon be doled out to black residents of Evanston, Illinois, under the city’s reparations program. Evanston’s Reparations Committee announced last week that 44 people will be getting $25,000 each, for a total of $1.1 million, according to the Chicago Tribune. All 44 are descendants of individuals who qualify under the city’s program that pays out reparations to black residents who claimed they experienced housing discrimination between 1919 and 1969. The payments are intended to be used for housing expenses, Cynthia Vargas, Evanston’s communications and community engagement manager, said.

Last month, FBI agents executed a search warrant in Union City, Georgia, marking a sharp escalation in scrutiny surrounding Fulton County’s handling of the 2020 election. The FBI has now reportedly substantiated major irregularities in vote counting from Fulton County, Georgia, during the 2020 election and is now investigating whether those errors were deliberate violations of federal law. An affidavit filed by FBI Special Agent Hugh Raymond Evans last month, which was unsealed Tuesday, lays out five categories of confirmed problems in Fulton County's handling of ballots, raising questions that have simmered for over five years since Trump and his allies raised questions about the election in Georgia and other

She was 16 years old at the time. This settlement against Varian’s psychologist and plastic surgeon is the first legal judgment imposed upon those performing such mutilations. Other blue states and cities have attempted to implement similar laws or policies, including California, Illinois, Minnesota, and New Mexico, limiting ICE access to government-owned property, particularly locations like schools, healthcare facilities, and courthouses. McFadden, who is the top law enforcement officer in the county where Zarutska was killed, simply answered, "Mecklenburg County,"
