More than 220 claims for puberty blocking drugs were reimbursed for minors aged 10-13 (snip) for precocious puberty between Jan. 1, 2013 and Dec. 31, 2024, costing taxpayers more than $1.8 million dollars (snip.) The number of claims in the 10-13 age group went from zero in 2012 and ballooned to 47 by 2016. The Department of Justice (DOJ) has raised concerns that this billing code may be fraudulently used by gender doctors for sex-rejecting interventions.

A Quinnipiac poll released on Tuesday finds that a majority of American voters, 53%, believe ICE agent Jonathan Ross, who shot Good on a Minneapolis street last Wednesday, was not justified in doing so. Thirty-five percent believe the shooting was justified, while 12% have no opinion. But the poll results vary widely when the respondents’ political affiliations are examined. Seventy-seven percent of Republicans believe the shooting was justified, while 28% of independents and only four percent of Democrats hold the same opinion.

Maitlin White of Crestview was taken into custody on January 9 by a U.S. Marshals task force in Okaloosa County on two felony counts of online impersonation, according to Harris County Precinct 1 Constable Alan Rosen. She faces extradition to Texas, where she was charged on January 2.
