RINO Congressman Don Bacon (R-NE) floated the idea of impeaching President Trump if he invades Greenland.
“I would lean that way,” he said of supporting an impeachment over Greenland. “The off-ramp is realizing Republicans aren’t going to tolerate this and he’s going to have to back off. He hates being told no, but in this case, I think Republicans need to be firm.”
Bacon announced his retirement from Congress last July, and he’s eying impeachment as his final act.
Bacon also co-sponsored a bill with Democrats to curb Trump’s power and prevent a military invasion of Greenland, which Trump has not expressed plans for.

Headline doesn't exactly match what he said. He said that he would consider impeachment if Trump invaded Greenland. And he would be right to consider this, in that circumstance.
Trump isn't going to wake up one morning and order out an invasion. Trump would absolutely need to make the case, get public buy in and Congressional approval. The planning alone would take months and the execution days or weeks.

This coming from a squishy, jellyfish-like lifeform with the spine of a slug. Let's audit this twerp and find out how much money he's taken from Chinese Communist Party connected groups. "Get thee behind me, RINO!"

Since Russia and China really DO want it, Bacon's idea is not going to look good in the long run.

Whatever Trump is up to is way too sensitive to share with RINOs.

Republicans have not been firm since sometime before this century. This Bacon clown obviously has not thought about the consequences of China and/or Russia establishing themselves in Greenland. Even Little Rocket Man would like to have a piece of that action so he could fire rockets toward Washington and almost get there.

The word “impeach” has lost all meaning due to its overuse by every congressional whacko who thinks DJT shouldn’t be allowed the use the presidential powers WE THE PEOPLE voted him in for.

#1 is right. The headline is misleading. It's not like he called a presser to announce that Trump should be impeached. Instead, he answered a hypothetical question--something Republicans should NEVER do. For that reason alone, it's time for him to retire. Buh-bye, Congressman Bacon.

Midwest republicans don't have the spine to be "firm" against the democrats, but Trump? Sure, why not.

President Trump needs to dial this back into the realm of sanity quickly. I don't think he wants to invade Greenland and start a world war, even if he thinks we could win it, because he will be removed from office before that happens.
I also think this is likely part of his naturally combative approach to any problem, and he thinks this kind of rhetoric will help him resolve it. And it might. If people think he's crazy (I don't), they might give him things just to avoid being attacked.
Sort of like Nixon's Vietnam era "mad bomber theory," except this is Trump's "mad real estate developer" theory. Kind of global eminent domain: "I don't like what you're doing with your country, so I'm going to take it from you and do something I think is better."
The problem is, whereas Trump the real estate developer used eminent domain to dispossess people of their rightfully acquired property because he thought he had a better use for it, which I oppose, these are nation states. They fight back. And you have to kill them if you want to win. And anyone that wants that over Greenland is frankly a little nuts.

Pretty sure bacon isn’t running for reelection so why is he posturing over this? It sure as heck isn’t because he cares about America or Greenland.

Bacon was at the least precipitous with his unnecessary remarks regarding Trump and Greenland. As no doubt Trump was just setting up his starting position in upcoming negotiations with Denmark and Greenland. So you have to figure that Bacon was just either looking for publicity or some job in the civilian defense industries. Bacon is not from Nebraska where he was elected to Congress. Bacon’s connection to Nebraska politics came about by way of Bacon, before he retired, being a Brigadier General in the US Air Force stationed at Offutt AFB near Omaha, Nebraska. When Bacon ran his political campaign for Congress he ran, as so many Nebraska politicians have done, as a conservative Republican, then after being elected as such, and arriving in DC, came out as being RINOS which made them not re-electable in Nebraska. So guess what it is being reported out there in Nebraska? that Bacon “Bits” is not running for re-election, thus possibly handing that Eastern Nebraska Congressional seat to the leftist Democrats.

Hey, hey, ho, ho, all RINOs have got to go!
Sometimes I think conservatives should give RINOs the leftist treatment. It'd be interesting to see how they push back on us when they won't push back on their friends across the isle.
