There Is No "Nice" Way To Do Mass Deportations

Original Article

Predictably, a fresh wave of outrage against President Donald Trump and his administration's immigration policies followed the shooting in Minnesota of anti-ice activist Renee Good. Viral videos of alleged outrages committed by ICE agents are bolstering the case against the ongoing raids and deportations. While the majority of those speaking out against them are on the left, some on the right are also falling prey to the pressure campaign. These queasy conservatives now claim that their objections to the ICE raids are grounded in a suspicion that they may be detrimental to the goal of mass deportations.

Comments:

It bears repeating (and remembering) that virtually all of the alleged "outrages" are occurring in "blue" jurisdictions. There are almost none in "red" jurisdictions because local authorities neither foment nor tolerate harassment by activists and the many illegal aliens apprehended for other lawbreaking are tuned over to ICE without drama.

Why is "nice" even on the list of criteria? They came here ILLEGALLY. They all >>>> ALL>>>>>have fraudulent paperwork to work, and they steal American jobs, drive down wages and do massive amounts of CRIME, including killing Americans. I don't give one darn about "NICE", but I do care about FAST and large numbers deported. At least 2-3 million per year MINIMUM. Screw "nice".

When I see the word 'illegals' my mind turns to Joe Biden. What this mind numbed creep did to this country and is costing this country is beyond measure. May he rot in Hell.

A simple, but deeply unfair and manipulative narrative (snip) congealed as soon as Trump took office: ICE enforcement amounts to egregious military raids (snip) and as such, ICE is responsible for any unfortunate violence (snip.) Obviously that narrative has gone into overdrive since the unfortunate killing of Renee Good in Minneapolis (snip) Notably we're not seeing many ugly situations like what happened in Minneapolis in red states because the police and authorities there have been directed to cooperate. So Democrats have a simple choice before them: They can choose to (snip) cooperate with ICE, or they can choose to make their communities more dangerous.

Reports circulating on social media alleging sexual assault, excessive force and kidnapping of U.S. citizens by federal immigration agents during recent enforcement operations in the Twin Cities gained widespread attention this week. But the Department of Homeland Security is pushing back on those claims and saying they don't withstand a review of the facts. In one case, cellphone video captured agents escorting a detainee into a portable toilet during an arrest in Minneapolis. TikTok activists immediately implied it was a sexual assault (snip.)

President Trumps said Tuesday that he's preparing to halt federal funding to sanctuary cities and states on Feb. 1 -- potentially yanking billions in revenue in response to laws barring cooperation with immigration agents. "Starting February 1, we're not making any payments to sanctuary cities or states having sanctuary cities because they do everything possible to protect criminals at the expense of American citizens," Trump said during a speech in Detroit. "It breeds fraud and crime and all of the other problems that come. So we're not making any payment to anybody that supports sanctuary cities.

NUUK, Greenland — Troops from several European countries continued to arrive in Greenland on Thursday in a show of support for Denmark as talks between representatives of Denmark, Greenland and the U.S. highlighted “fundamental disagreement” over the future of the Arctic island. Denmark announced it would increase its military presence in Greenland on Wednesday as foreign ministers from Denmark and Greenland were preparing to meet with White House representatives in Washington. Several European partners — including France, Germany, the U.K., Norway, Sweden and the Netherlands — started sending symbolic numbers of troops already on Wednesday or promised to do so in the following days.

President Donald Trump's push to seize Greenland might be the least popular idea in American political history. Is that hyperbole? If so, that's only because reliable and fast public polling is a relatively recent development within our 250-year experiment in self-governance. A Reuters/Ipsos poll released Wednesday found a staggering 4 percent of Americans favor the idea of seizing Greenland with military force. Among Republicans, the idea is actually twice as popular: 8 percent say taking the island is a "good idea."

On Thursday afternoon, I wrote about how María Corina Machado visited the White House and had lunch with Donald Trump. While I was writing that article, some rumors were circulating about a big gesture she made, but I couldn't confirm them at the time. Now I can. The Venezuelan opposition leader, on behalf of her people, gave the president her Nobel Peace Prize. Not a replica. The real thing. Since the meeting was purposely kept private, I wasn't sure that a photo would surface, but one got out, and as of late Thursday night, both the White House and Machado have shared it on social media.

The lawsuit is asking a federal court to issue a statewide injunction to stop what it calls “unlawful policies and practices” being carried out by ICE agents, including allegations of racial profiling.

It's no understatement to say that the 2006 documentary "An Inconvenient Truth" changed the direction of public policy. And in fact, that's exactly what failed presidential candidate Al Gore intended the film to do. Fortunately for him, he found a willing audience of Hollywood celebrities and left-wing media outlets to uncritically promote his ideology and activism. Unfortunately for him, 2006 is now far enough in the past that we can test some of the predictions, claims, and statements of fact he makes in that film. So that's exactly what we did.
