He is the one tossing concepts on the whiteboard, storyboarding strong possibilities, and forcing the political system to grapple with problems it has ignored for decades. He understands something most career politicians never grasp: not every idea survives first contact with reality. But no progress happens without someone willing to propose ideas in the first place. That is why the latest round of criticism of Trump’s proposal to cap credit card interest rates misses the point entirely. Much of the conservative movement has bristled at the idea, and the concerns are serious.

Trump is so far ahead of our usual crop of career politicians that it scares them silly, both GOP and the Dimwits. They go to bed every night hoping that they can make it through the night without wetting the bed while DJT is thinking ten steps ahead of them.

It was probably no surprise that Rep. Ilhan Omar, arguably the most corrupt of Minneapolis’ Somali community, announced the Congressional Progressive Caucus has “adopted an official position” to defund Immigration & Customs Enforcement. “Our caucus members will oppose all funding for immigration enforcement in any immigration enforcement bills until meaningful reforms are enacted to end militarized policing practices,” said the woman accused of marrying her brother to evade U.S. immigration laws. Omar’s message was praised by radical groups everywhere, many tied to the left’s “defund the police” movement amid 2020’s Black Lives Matter riots.

In this episode of "Try to Control Your Shock and Amazement"... As we've known for years, America's powerful teachers' unions have demonstrated that they're far more interested in promoting and shilling for left-wing causes than providing quality education to America's kids. In a glaring recent example, as RedState's Becky Noble reported in mid-December, the National Education Association (NEA) — the nation's largest teachers' union — hosted a typical teachers' union conference. The topic? "Advancing LGBTQ+ Justice." Shocked? Me neither. So, yeah, raise your hand if you think the conference spent even a modicum of time focused on improving the quality of education in America — vs. ranting about insane left-wing idiocy.

The Government’s illogical energy policies… Jess Phillips’s illogical approach to safeguarding…the illogical selling off buying off of the Chagos Islands… It seems to any half-thinking person that the Government is behaving in a way that is completely illogical if it is concerned about its own or the country’s success. However, the unrolling of all of the above policies are not the result of illogical, messy or on-the-hoof thinking. Quite the opposite: the actions of this Labour Government are the result of clear, exact and rigid logic.

A leading proponent of face masks as a means of countering the spread of respiratory infections appears to have changed her mind. Professor Trish Greenhalgh, University of Oxford – described as the “high priestess” of the face mask movement, who even appeared on her X feed wearing two face masks during the COVID-19 years – has endorsed a letter to the WHO in which it is claimed, as reported in the Guardian, “There is ‘no rational justification remaining for prioritising or using’ the surgical masks that are ubiquitous in hospitals and clinics globally, given their ‘inadequate protection against airborne pathogens’.”

“There are decades where nothing happens, and there are weeks where decades happen.” That’s a quote often attributed (perhaps incorrectly) to Vladimir Lenin — but whoever said it first, it’s certainly true of the last week or so. Just look at the headlines. In Iran, the mullahs who have ruled since 1979 are collapsing in the face of widespread popular revolt. For nearly all of the 47 years since Jimmy Carter allowed Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini to take power in the fallacious belief that it would somehow advance the cause of human rights, Iran has been a major rival to the United States in the region and around the world.

President Trump on Tuesday threatened to take “very strong action” against the Iranian regime if anti-government protesters are executed. “I haven’t heard about the hanging. If they hang ’em, you’re gonna see some things that – I don’t know what you’re – where you come from and what your thought process is, but you’ll perhaps be very happy,” Trump told “CBS Evening News” anchor Tony Dokoupil during an interview in Detroit. When Dokoupil asked the president to clarify what he meant, Trump responded: “If they do such a thing, we will take very strong action.” More than 2,000 Iranians have been killed amid the regime’s brutal crackdown on protesters,

We’re not being lied to, exactly, but we’re being force-fed a version of the truth that is intended to control our emotions, influence our reactions, and direct our behavior. The powers that be—and this is very much a part of the rupture between the ruling class and the country class—want to encourage specific social and political responses from us and are doing everything they can to make them happen.

MINNEAPOLIS (AP) — Federal officers in the Minneapolis-area participating in its largest recent U.S. immigration enforcement operation can’t detain or tear gas peaceful protesters who aren’t obstructing authorities, including when these people are observing the agents, a judge in Minnesota ruled Friday. U.S. District Judge Kate Menendez’s ruling addresses a case filed in December on behalf of six Minnesota activists. The six are among the thousands who have been observing the activities of Immigration and Customs Enforcement and Border Patrol officers enforcing the Trump administration’s immigration crackdown in the Minneapolis-St. Paul area since last month. Federal agents and demonstrators have repeatedly clashed since the crackdown began.

Dylan Mulvaney, a "transgender influencer" most famous for sparking the massive 2023 Bud Light boycott that tanked sales and alienated millions of customers, is now set to make his Broadway debut as Anne Boleyn in the hit feminist musical "SIX." This is a good reminder that this kind of woke mind virus, widely rejected in the previous national election cycle, is still making the rounds in various corners of the entertainment world. I mean, seriously. Not only will Mulvaney be taking a significant role in a musical about women in history, but he will be taking that role away from an actual woman. This is progress for women ... or something.

Canada’s globalist Prime Minister Mark Carney’s long-anticipated trip to Beijing appears to be marked by a striking pivot away from Canada’s traditional alliances and toward deeper engagement with Communist China. Claimed by Carney as a necessary adjustment to a “new world order,” the visit instead underscored Ottawa’s growing willingness to accommodate Beijing—and push away the United States—at a moment of geopolitical upheaval. The prime minister of America’s neighbor to the north gushed over Chinese President Xi Jinping, praising his “leadership” during public remarks—language that raised eyebrows both at home and abroad.

The Jan. 7 shooting death of Renee Good has become a political Rorschach test. A Quinnipiac poll released on Tuesday finds that a majority of American voters, 53%, believe ICE agent Jonathan Ross, who shot Good on a Minneapolis street last Wednesday, was not justified in doing so. Thirty-five percent believe the shooting was justified, while 12% have no opinion. But the poll results vary widely when the respondents’ political affiliations are examined. Seventy-seven percent of Republicans believe the shooting was justified, while 28% of independents and only four percent of Democrats hold the same opinion. These poll results are unsurprising. Larry Ellison, once the world's richest person and the co-founder of the media and entertainment conglomerate, Oracle, renamed his German-built yacht the Izanami, which, spelt backwards, reads: 'I'm a nazi'. The 81-year-old chose to name the enormous, 191-foot vessel after a Shinto deity in Japanese mythology, the goddess of creation and death, seemingly without realizing the phrase it spelled in reverse. Ellison, whose family has strong ties to Israel, became aware of the vile phrase and renamed the yacht, according to Futurism. The yacht owner has repeatedly shown his support for Israel,

On Thursday afternoon, I wrote about how María Corina Machado visited the White House and had lunch with Donald Trump. The Venezuelan opposition leader, on behalf of her people, gave the president her Nobel Peace Prize. Not a replica. The real thing. Since the meeting was purposely kept private, I wasn't sure that a photo would surface, but one got out, and as of late Thursday night, both the White House and Machado have shared it on social media.
