Actor turned left-wing activist George Clooney and his family have taken French citizenship, a publicly available government decree confirmed. Le Monde reported on Monday that Lexington, Kentucky-born Clooney, his wife, British-Lebanese lawyer Amal Alamuddin Clooney, and twin children Ella and Alexander were all granted French citizenship this month as per the contents of a naturalization decree published by the Official Journal of the French Republic on Saturday, December 27.

Well, I don't care much for Mr. Clooney's politics, but he said he grew up on a farm, and he wanted to get his kids out of Hollywood and let them also grow up on a farm..... so good for him. I hope things work out for him in France. Maybe it's still France out in the countryside.

Don't let the door.....y'all know the rest. Ya know, I'm wondering how all those people that contributed millions to Biden at Clooney's urging are feeling now. Not only did their money go down a rat hole (how great is that?) but Clooney turned on them and Biden almost within hours when Biden spit up on himself in the debate. And now Clooney and his America hating wifey are becoming French citizens. Hey, and they say there is no good news. BuhBye Georgie and Amal.

I could go with a second home in the Cotswolds or maybe a nice small town in Scotland before they go under Sharia Law, but just secondary, and it would certainly take money that I don't have. Three months there and nine back here, but this is still the greatest country on Earth, and they can bury me in the North Georgia clay that I came from. Most of these ex-pats, if they leave angry about Trump or politics that don't suit them, come back like a fly on a...well, you know.

That's fine, his choice. Just leave us alone. Don't be like Rosie and flip out everyday on social media. Her mental health is in the toilet. Don't join her. It is crowded and smelly down there. But in reality I do not care where you choose to go. Just go and stay there. Basically you are good looking, talented, a multi multi millionaire, lived the life of luxury, could go anywhere and do anything and purchase whatever you wanted. I can see why you felt the need to leave.

We had thought to purchase a small vacation home in on a French island that is considered part of actual France and not simply and overseas territory sometime in the future but the inheritance laws and taxes are onerous. We will just rent when we want to visit.

So they chose France? Really? So hypocritically typical...turn your back on the same capitalistic system that produced your wealth, as though its creativity, prosperity, and freedoms were not critical to its creation. Obviously, the skills needed to be a successful actor and tequila mogul don't include gratitude, loyalty, or basic logic. Oh, and BTW...I won't watch another Clooney film...he's gone political, so I am, too.

I read that Clooney wanted to get his kids out of the Hollywood atmosphere and good for him. He's not the only actor who has done that. But I wonder why he didn't just go back to Maysville, Kentucky? Maybe it wasn't sophisticated enough for him. Anyway, I hope his children turn out all right. After what happened to Rob Reiner's son and Tylor Chase who used to be a star on Nickelodon and now is a homeless drug addict, I think Hollywood is toxic.

Back when Haiti had that bad earthquake, Clooney did a telethon thing and raised millions for them. Then he kept the money. Haiti never got so much as one penny of it. He never accounted for where it went. I suspect he's running from something. He's lived in Italy most of the time ever since. Now it's France. Fine with me. Stay there.

We have stayed in a number of really pleasant bed and breakfasts in France, especially southern France and the people we have met have been very nice, easy to get along with. One French couple spent a good bit of effort with a French to English translator on his phone to tell us how much they love Trump. We talked about politics and immigration and agreed on everything. And...there was a wonderful restaurant across the street. They lived in a 1700s building in the center of a tiny town, right on the city hall plaza. I don't like Paris as much, but it's still OK, mostly. The south of France is pretty darned nice, and we've been going there to visit for weeks for many years, since the 1970s when we traveled as college students.

The top legal reporter for Politico.com apparently suggested Tuesday a person can be legally shot for asking questions at the doorsteps of businesses. “At some point, the amateur effort to knock on doors of home daycares intersects with robust stand-your-ground laws,” said a X message from Josh Gerstein, Politico’s “Senior Legal Affairs Reporter.” The threat was likely aimed at independent journalist Nick Shirley, who has precipitated a storm in the mainstream media about large-scale fraud and corruption by ethnic Somali business owners in Minnesota. Fewer Americans applied for unemployment benefits last week as layoffs remain low despite a weakening labor market. U.S. applications for jobless claims for the week ending Dec. 27 fell by 16,000 to 199,000 from the previous week’s 215,000, the Labor Department reported Wednesday. Analysts surveyed by the data firm FactSet forecast 208,000 new applications. The weekly report was released a day early due to the New Year’s Day holiday. Applications for unemployment aid are viewed as a proxy for layoffs and are close to a real-time indicator of the health of the job market.

It is absolutely true that Nick Shirley's one-day video blitz investigation of Somali daycares in Minnesota produced insufficient evidence to put anybody in jail. It's even possible that he made a mistake or two, although given what we already know, the preponderance of the evidence says that most of these daycares are shell companies that exist only to fleece the government. It's not like Shirley's video is the only evidence—the US Attorney is actively prosecuting cases, and now citizen journalists around the country are revealing fake Somali daycares. The State of Minnesota has taken the database of daycares offline, and already, legislators in other states are scrambling to hide

WASHINGTON — The US Department of Health and Human Services is freezing all future child care funding to states beyond Minnesota, with President Trump predicting his administration will find massive fraud in California. The CIA carried out a drone strike earlier this month on a port facility on the coast of Venezuela, sources familiar with the matter told CNN, marking the first known US attack on a target inside that country. The drone strike, the details of which have not been previously reported, targeted a remote dock on the Venezuelan coast that the US government believed was being used by the Venezuelan gang Tren de Aragua to store drugs and move them onto boats for shipping, the sources said. No one was present at the facility at the time it was struck, so there were no casualties, according to the sources.

In the surveillance footage, dated 2015 and obtained by Fox 9, parents are seen signing their kids into the facility so providers could bill the state for full days of care for children who didn’t actually attend. On some days, no families would even show up at all, but the day cares would still claim reimbursements from the government, the outlet reported at the time.
