Somali migrants are claiming that Minnesota’s economy would crash without them, even as the cost of Somali-run welfare fraud is growing on a weekly basis.
Minnesota has been wracked with a series of massive welfare fraud cases, leaving Democrat governor and failed 2024 vice-presidential candidate Tim Walz reeling. Much of the multibillions in fraud has been perpetrated by Somali migrants, who first began pouring into the state in the 1990s.
However, one state legislator is insisting that Minnesota would not be able to survive without Somalians.
Democrat Minnesota State Sen. Zaynab Mohamed — who was born in Somalia — in a recent interview said, “We are in every industry, and Minnesota would not

House Majority Whip Tom Emmer, one of Washington’s top-ranking Republicans, says he is open to legal action against Minnesota’s Democrat leaders following the viral release of a video alleging fraud in state-funded day care centers.
Appearing on Fox News’ “Fox Report Weekend” on Sunday, Emmer praised YouTube content creator Nick Shirley’s recent report, which alleges that several state-funded day care and learning centers, largely operated by immigrants from Somalia, do not provide legitimate services.
(Snip) “Whistleblowers are coming forward,” said Emmer, who added that he would support the prosecution of Walz and Ellison if there was documented evidence of their retaliation against whistleblowers.

Throughout both of his presidential terms (and the years between) few supporters of President Donald Trump have been as vocal or consistent as Ret. Lt. Gen. Michael Flynn.
Flynn, who served briefly as national security adviser in the president’s first term, has vocally aligned himself with many of Trump’s causes over the last decade or so.
That being said, Flynn appears to be rather unsatisfied with the way 2025 has gone in this country — and he penned a blistering X post with a simple, yet profound, request for Trump and his administration. “BREAKING: We The People demand ACCOUNTABILITY!” Flynn posted early Monday.
He said to Trump, “I know you are listening

The historic old City Hall subway station, a decommissioned train stop that sits below New York City’s seat of government, will play host to Zohran Mamdani’s swearing-in as the Big Apple’s new mayor at midnight on Jan. 1, his transition team announced on Monday. Mamdani, who was in part elected on a pledge to make city buses fare-free, will take the oath of office in the ornate century-plus year-old subway station just as the calendar turns to the new year. The private event, which will be open exclusively to Mamdani’s family and select members of the press, will see him

The New York City Council has passed what has been called the Community Opportunity to Purchase Act (COPA) that will force private building owners to offer up their property to nonprofits and government entities before they make any private sale, effectively causing massive delays in property sales and other regulatory hurdles in the Big Apple’s housing industry.
In the scenario that it is passed, NYC will have the largest COPA program in the country. The act forces landlords to offer their property to the city as well as nonprofits before the building can be sold on the public market.

Nick Shirley’s 42-minute YouTube video on daycare fraud in Minnesota is shocking not just because of the scale of abuse he uncovered in a day. It’s shocking because it took a young kid to expose this years-long scheme. Where was the mainstream media all this time?
In the must-see video, Shirley teams up with a citizen investigator and goes door-to-door visiting various “daycare” facilities in Minneapolis that got millions in taxpayer money through a Child Care Assistance Program.
The first two “daycare centers” are both located at the same address in an industrial park,

“Brennan, Clapper, Comey, Rice, Biden, Weissmann, Rosenstein … When are these people being charged?” political strategist Roger Stone told Breitbart News after he was asked if he believes FBI Director Kash Patel is “knocking down enough doors” at Turning Point USA’s 2025 AmericaFest conference.
“I think Kash is doing a very good job of fighting terrorists. I think he’s doing a good job of fighting child sex trafficking,” Stone said, adding, “The question, really, is: Brennan, Clapper, Comey, Rice, Biden, Weissmann, Rosenstein, and on, and on.”

On Monday, the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) announced $50 billion in grants to all 50 U.S. states to be used for the sole goal of transforming health care in rural America. As the White House announced, the Rural Health Transformation Program was established through Trump’s Working Families Tax Cuts legislation in the One Big Beautiful Bill, which President Donald Trump signed into law in July. This first-of-its-kind initiative represents the largest federal investment in rural health care in U.S. history.

Minnesotans begged House Majority Whip Tom Emmer more than a decade ago to halt the flood of Somali refugees to the area, but the lawmaker scolded them for their concerns.
Minnesota’s Somali population is back in the spotlight after YouTuber Nick Shirley posted a video canvassing multiple Somali-run childcare centers accused of fraud. However, A resurfaced audio clip from “This American Life” shows that voters were concerned about mass Somali migration long before the recent controversy. In an episode that aired in October 2016, journalist Zoe Chace narrated portions of the story, including a reflection on a July 2015 town hall event at Aces Bar in downtown St. Cloud.

Independent journalist Nick Shirley lit up the internet with his video this past week on Minnesota day care centers, where he alleged that he didn't find children, but he did find people who didn't want to talk or answer questions. The full video is now approaching 100 million views, an amazing number. He even found one "learing center" that had a misspelled nameWhat that number of views shows,I think, is how disturbed Americans are by the subject and how much they want it to be addressed. The national attention may even have forced Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz to act in a defensive way, because he made this post on Sunday,

The alleged truck driver behind a fatal two-car accident in Virginia that left three people dead was identified as a legalized migrant.
Fox News’s Bill Melugin reported that a “federal law enforcement source” told him that the driver of a tractor-trailer, El Hadji Karamoko Quattara, 58, is a “naturalized U.S. citizen from the Ivory Coast.”
Melugin added that he “had been in the U.S. illegally in the 90s,” but later got a green card before becoming “a naturalized U.S. citizen.”
“I’m told by a federal law enforcement source that this man is a naturalized U.S. citizen from the Ivory Coast who, at one point, had been in the U.S. illegally in the 90s,
