The Trump administration just delivered an early Christmas present to the American people, especially those located on the Eastern Seaboard and whale lovers. According to the Department of the Interior, “effective immediately—the leases for all large-scale offshore wind projects under construction in the United States” will be stopped “due to national security risks identified by the Department of War in recently completed classified reports.” “Today’s action addresses emerging national security risks, including the rapid evolution of the relevant adversary technologies, and the vulnerabilities created by large-scale offshore wind projects with proximity near our east coast population centers,” said Secretary of the Interior Doug Burgum.

Across from the Cross Sound Ferry dock in New London Connecticut there is a peninsula that has been converted into a depot for wind blades and towers. I hope to see that terminated and put something else there like a nice park. Someday there will be a huge mountain of discarded wind turbine parts.

Submarine detection and communication equipment is so sensitive these days, I would guess that whirling, squeaking windmills interfere with those signals and prevent the Navy from detecting other subs near our coast. Not cool.

If the Dems get back in power, you can expect the windmill projects to start up again despite any threat to East Coast security and safety.

These darn projects are worse than NGOs and I would bet most of the money ends up in dems pockets just like the NGOs. Make them dismantle these eyesores with the leftover billions.

Intersectionality does not get the attention that Critical Race Theory and Diversity Equity and Inclusion receive, but it’s the source for CRT and DEI. It’s the mother’s milk of group identity theory. Intersectionality received attention about a decade ago when “intersectional feminism” was a thing, but largely faded away from scrutiny as it’s offspring, CRT and DEI captured education and society, particularly post-George Floyd. But it never really went away. Intersectionality was repurposed as the foundation for attacking Israel by building racial and ethnic groups identity coalitions. This photo I took in 2019 at a Cornell student assembly vote (which failed) on an anti-Israel boycott resolution

Mayor Karen Bass and her DEI hires at the Los Angeles Fire Department (LAFD) were caught red-handed covering up their and the state's response to the deadly and devastating Palisades Fire by changing or erasing the records in the city's official after-action report. The deletions and distortions were so severe that the author of the after-action report requested that his name be removed from the publication. The cover-up and retconning of the report, however, will never cover up the 12 deaths, thousands of lives upended, billions lost, and thousands of homes and businesses wiped out by that Palisades firestorm on Jan. 7, 2025. In this episode of "Try to Control Your Shock and Amazement..." There's no doubt that Minnesota governor and erstwhile Democrat vice-presidential candidate Tim Walz is, shall we say "different"? And if you're like me, you still shudder at the mere thought of what would have become of the country we love if the equally *brilliant* Kamala Harris had not been decisively mauled by President Donald Trump in the 2024 presidential election. Apparently, a group of nearly 100 Minnesota mayors has already learned. So yeah, 98 mayors across Minnesota have sounded the alarm in a no-nonsense letter to Walz and state lawmakers, blistering the state’s fiscal mismanagement. The distraught mayors warned that what

The wholesale adoption of diversity, equity and inclusion ideology in almost all our major institutions has done untold damage to American society. It was advertised as something noble — a way to open opportunities for women and minorities who had been unfairly denied them. But through a combination of bureaucratic laziness and political malice, DEI soon became something approaching a ban on hiring millennial white males at the beginning of their careers. The harm goes far beyond the wreckage it imposed on those young men. “Affirmative action,” of course, has been around for decades, and anyone who’s worked at a major institution in America, whether government, corporate or academic, has seen

The California race for the Democrat gubernatorial nomination is getting crowded. It's still early, but it looks like Democrat Rep. Eric Swalwell (CA-14) has decided to vie for the worst possible ad. This earned a ton of mockery, and justifiably so. I give you fair warning. (X) Yikes. This is worse than Michael Dukakis and the helmet. Then he made it worse. (X) This isn't even style over substance; it's cringe over substance. He's trying to appeal to younger voters by doing an ad with 13-year-old political influencer, Knowa De Baraso. But that just makes him look out of place and weird. Not to mention that most people don't even know

Not too many years ago, the bar was one of the pillars of the Republican Party. Abraham Lincoln was the patron saint of lawyers; my father had a lovely portrait of Lincoln, painted on wood, in his law office for many years. But times have changed: now, a large majority of lawyers are Democrats. (Their secretaries, on the other hand, are more likely to be Republicans.) This is part of the broader reshuffling of our political alignment. Lawyers have become Democrats, not because they have been reading Marx or Foucault, or because Barack Obama made brilliant arguments (just kidding), but rather because they realized that it is the Democrats who

Power continues to be restored to tens of thousands of San Francisco businesses and residences following a Saturday outage that affected some 130,000 customers, according to Pacific Gas & Electric Company (PG&E). The outage was caused by a fire at an electrical substation, according to PG&E. By Sunday evening, there remained about 14,000 customers who were still without service, PG&E said. The company said it expects to restore power to all remaining customers impacted by the outage by 2 p.m. on Monday. "PG&E crews will continue to work until all customers have been restored," the company said. While the damage to the substation was "significant and extensive," there were no injures to

The Democratic Party’s principal fundraising committee saw donations slump in the second-to-last month of the year, recording just a $12 million campaign war chest and almost $16 million still in debt due to a loan taken out the previous month, Federal Election Commission filings show. The Islamic Republic of Iran is at war with the United States, and has been for a long time. Back in Nov. 2013, as negotiations continued toward what ultimately became Obama’s Iran nuke deal, Iranian political analyst Mohammad Sadeq Al-Hosseini said: “We are engaged in a fierce war with the Americans on all levels.” That war continues to this day, and the mullahs who rule the Islamic Republic have just opened a new front. H-E-B is a regional grocery chain headquartered in San Antonio, Texas. In 2025, H-E-B ranked the 5th-largest private company in the U.S. with annual revenues of $49.57 billion. Not too shabby for a concern that only covers parts of Texas and Mexico. This 120-year-old grocer has obviously tapped into their market and found success with their model, but this Christmas, they also tapped into the heart of service in a big way. Georgia Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger's downplaying of a 2020 election blunder as a mere "clerical error" has done little to quiet a growing backlash within his own party. Far from accepting Raffensperger's explanation that Fulton County's failure to properly sign tabulation tapes "does not erase valid, legal votes," 2020 election skeptics are calling for a federal investigation into what they view as a massive coverup.
