The Reiner Murders: a common humanity view

The murder of Hollywood Director Rob Reiner and his wife Michelle Singer Reiner by Reiner’s 32-year-old adult son Nick has become another front in the ongoing political war. Nick is a long-time drug addict, in and out of rehab many times, and often homeless on the streets of multiple states. He reportedly trashed his parent’s home at least once in the past, and some reports suggest he was diagnosed with schizophrenia not long before the alleged murders, apparently committed with a knife or other sharp object. Rob Reiner was perhaps best known for his writing and directing, particularly the classic rock “mockumentary” This is Spinal Tap. He’ll certainly

Once again leftist hypocrisy is on full display. Any negative comments about Reiner are treated by the left as blasphemy and insensitive while the nasty things said by Reiner about Trump and his family, and in the aftermath of the Trump assassination attempt are completely forgotten. As poster #1 said, Reiner's hatred didn't end when he reached his front door.

Certainly not a 'he deserved it' post but before the internet when USA Today was trolling the public every day they went on one of their pseudo-moralistic crusades again spanking and child discipline in general. Their spokesman? Rob Reiner.

The kid was in rehab the first time at 15. How long did his parents ignore, or probably condone, his drug use? You don't become an addict overnight. He was constantly in and out of rehab because he didn't want to be there. His parents allowed their violent, drug-addled son to decide if he wanted treatment. They listened to said violent, drug-addled son over the doctors who warned them that drug addicts are manipulative. They took him to a party to "keep an eye on him" rather than skipping the party. In short - they wanted kids, but they didn't want to be parents.

RR was sooooo focused upon Putting Trump in Jail, he ignored the single un attempted thing that might have saved his criminal son, his wife and himself...Putting HIM in Jail. 17 trips to rehab, dozens of therapists, psychologists, psychiatrists...Lawyers...Insulating him from the repercussions of his actions and addictions with their wealth and power. Insulating him from REALITY. Longest stretch of sobriety less than six months, while also doped up on prescribed junk. I have been clean/sober over 36 years...a "young man" I knew for 10 of those, that was as bad as Nick, his Parents finally stopped intervening between him and the Law, he did 12 months in prison, has been clean/sober now for 20years...and is married to a bank executive, is a successful real estate investor/rehabber. He says..."When they finally arrested me? They Rescued me". It takes Clean Time to get clean, clean enough to live in Reality...any way to get it is the only thing that works.

I read an article by Rob's daughter Romy. She said that almost from the start, Nick felt his dad didn't love him. From what she described, I think Nick was just different from the other two and Rob, half nuts himself, didn't know how to deal with him. I know he loved him but as a parent, you never know what each child will be like and I promise you, they will all be different. This is just a sad story all around. Rob himself was a little on the nuts side but no parent deserves to be killed like this by their child.

Reiner was politically connected and influential in the entertainment industry. He never focused social media on Trump's attempt to stop fentanyl and other dangerous drugs from flooding the country. Instead, he chose to use his stardom, wealth and influential power as a weapon to promote hate and slander in vicious ways against Trump to destroy him and his presidency. Reiner and is wife were out of control leftist, and his son was raised in hate toward anyone who did not agree with him. Trump's feelings toward Reiner are understandable.

Ethan Hawke just did a interview with Joe Rogan. He makes the point that "celebrity" is a poison and I agree. If you don't have the maturity or responsibility with a Holly wood career, it can be self-aggrandizing. Rob Reiner reminds me of that very person and along with that, Rob Reiner is now a parent. . .

One day last week I was walking down the street when a van with blacked-out windows pulled up to the curb. Three masked men jumped out and before I knew it they were bundling me into the back of the vehicle. They chloroformed me and for a while I was out. When I came to, the van was pulling up to a building, a brand-new skyscraper with a Japanese name on the front that I didn’t catch. They hustled me into the building, which seemed deserted, and on to an elevator. We rode the elevator to the top floor. I still had no idea what was going on, but when they headed

There has been a lot of drama over CBS editor Bari Weiss pulling the plug on a 60 Minutes story about CECOT, the El Salvadorian prison where Venezuelans and other illegal immigrants were sent after being deported from the U.S. In her memo to CBS staff, Weiss made several reasonable requests and observations, including that the story did not "present the administration's argument for why it sent 252 Venezuelans to CECOT" and asked, "Isn't there much more to ask in light of the torture that we are revealing?" She also noted that the story used Orwellian sleight of hand on the criminal records of the 252 Venezuelans sent to CECOT. "

If the Nationals and Liberal parties want a good solid public policy alternative to the reflexive gun and hate speech control strategy of Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese they should implement an upgrade of the police and intelligence data systems instead of blowing their budget on buying back guns and focusing on hate speech. The question is sometimes asked: if Australia has “gun control” how did the Bondi shooters get issued six licensed guns? Because the terror reduction problem was framed as "gun control." The focus was on controlling objects, not anticipating threats. The thinking was: if you control the guns then you will control the level of terror.

Indonesia has a reputation for being a “moderate” Muslim nation, but the wind in the Islamic world as a whole is blowing in the opposite direction, as a group of Christians has just discovered. Morning Star News, which tracks the persecution of Christians worldwide, reported Tuesday that “as police looked on, Muslims in West Java Province, Indonesia on Dec. 14 formed a human wall to block Christians from attending a Christmas service, according to local media.” Notice that it has now been nearly a quarter-century since 9/11, and while we have seen heroic individual Muslims such as Ahmed al-Ahmed, who tackled one of the Bondi Beach jihadis,

The comedian is set to lecture Britons on the rise of authoritarianism on Channel 4's version of the traditional speech, which will run counter to the annual address given by King Charles on Christmas Day. Islam is simply incompatible with Western civilization, and that couldn’t be more evident considering the 2025 Christmas and Hanukkah season. We get it rubbed in our faces, time and time again, with one massacre after another. These aren’t just lone gunmen who go nuts. These are organized terrorism cells. Bondi Beach, a massacre allegedly committed by two Muslims (father and son), is only the latest example. San Bernardino, California was the scene of a similar massacre by two Muslims (husband and wife). Nineteen Muslims, backed up by the wealth of other Muslims, gave us 9/11. Only Islam commands its followers to “kill the infidels.”

Intersectionality does not get the attention that Critical Race Theory and Diversity Equity and Inclusion receive, but it’s the source for CRT and DEI. It’s the mother’s milk of group identity theory. Intersectionality received attention about a decade ago when “intersectional feminism” was a thing, but largely faded away from scrutiny as it’s offspring, CRT and DEI captured education and society, particularly post-George Floyd. But it never really went away. Intersectionality was repurposed as the foundation for attacking Israel by building racial and ethnic groups identity coalitions. The video was apparently in response to efforts by the Trump administration to cut off the flow of dangerous drugs into the U.S. with military-led strikes on drug-smuggling boats in the waters near Venezuela.
