There’s nothing ‘right-wing’ about defending the Bill of Rights. Being called “right-wing” or “fascist” is detestable. The label implies a preference for dictatorship, authoritarianism, and government supremacy over personal freedom. The exact opposite is true. I would describe myself as a supporter of autarchism in the sense that we should rule ourselves and not be ruled by others. As someone who believes strongly in individual liberty, self-reliance, and self-government, I distrust all repositories of power -- whether such power resides in government, corporations, or social institutions. As Lord Acton advised: “Power tends to corrupt and absolute power corrupts absolutely.” In my estimation, nothing in this physical world can be trusted with power

The man suspected of carrying out two murderous attacks — one at Brown University that killed two students and wounded nine more, and another that killed the MIT professor in his Brookline home — was found dead in a storage unit in Salem, New Hampshire last night. The murderer apparently took the coward’s way out.
Listening to the Providence press conference last night — it was followed by one featuring United States Attorney Leah Foley speaking about the murder of MIT Professor Nuno F.G. Loureiro — we learned that a witness who had confronted the murderer on the Brown campus provided the key to the breaking of the case

She had two interviews that got attention on Wednesday, one with former Democratic National Committee (DNC) Chair Jaime Harrison and one with Jimmy Kimmel on his ABC late night show. There is a question floating around conservative circles that makes polite society squirm, which is usually how you know it is worth asking. It went viral again as it was posed on X in November. (X) Why do so many modern liberal women speak with open hostility toward Christianity while extending sympathy, or at least silence, toward Islam? Not cultural Muslims living quietly in America. An airplane linked to former NASCAR star Greg Biffle crashed while landing at a North Carolina regional airport on Thursday morning.
The plane was identified as a Cessna C550 with the tail number N257BW, which is owned by GB Aviation Leasing LLC, according to federal aviation records. The company is owned by Biffle. It crashed at Statesville Regional Airport. Iredell County Sheriff Grant Campbell said he could "confirm there were fatalities" in the crash. Officials didn’t identify who the deceased were or how many people were on board the plane.

Yesterday, the FBI delivered to the Senate Judiciary Committee emails relating to the search of President Trump’s Mar-a-Lago home. Senator Charles Grassley has released what I take to be all of the responsive documents.
Comments you may have seen on the emails are correct: the FBI didn’t think there was probable cause to search Trump’s home, but Merrick Garland’s Department of Justice insisted. The FBI thought they should communicate with Trump’s lawyer and likely be able to reach an agreement. Garland’s DOJ refused. The FBI pointed out that President Trump likely had a good legal argument on the documents; DOJ didn’t care.

The target of the attack was a Hanukkah celebration to mark the first night of the Jewish holiday. The alleged perpetrators, as noted by Prime Minister Anthony Albanese, who himself would love nothing more than to shift the blame onto inanimate guns, were inspired by ISIS. President Trump has sued the British Broadcasting Corporation for $10 billion. He alleges defamation and violation of a Florida unfair trade practices statute, arising out of the BBC’s deceptive editing of the speech Trump gave to his rally in Washington on January 6, 2017. White males who have faced discrimination should file a federal complaint, the head of the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission says.
In a video posted on social media Thursday, EEOC Acting Chairwoman Andrea Lucas advised potential victims of discrimination to file complaints in a timely manner.
