Public schools across the country are directing teachers to use curriculum resources from a nonprofit that teaches American history through the lens of racial and sexual oppression.
The Zinn Education Project (ZEP), named for the late radical 1960s professor Howard Zinn, pushes controversial resources and lesson plans to teachers for students as young as pre-K, all the way up to grade 12.
ZEP boasts that its curriculum has been adopted by more than 176,000 teachers, who have downloaded more than 765,000 lessons for their students, according to its website. The organization hosts a Teach Truth Day of Action annually, which is co-sponsored by the NEA, America's largest teachers union, and other organizations.
Souce corected.

The students would be far better served with a TPUSA curriculum.

This is where future Mamdani/AOC voters are created. Stop it in it’s tracks.

When I was kid, Zinn was on the outside of the educational establishment shaking his fists at it. As a result, I learned the three Rs and real American (and world) history. I'm not a fan of book burning, but I might make an exception for any title carrying Zinn's name.

Who funds the Zinn Education Project? Wouldn't surprise me if it's Russia, China, Venezuela, Iran, and a host of other America-haters. They probably influence their curriculum too. There's no place for this in our schools. Our enemies are poisoning our children and this nation.

Zinn is known for his anti-American fraudulent texts. Lies published in a textbook are still lies.

I believe any child properly taught at home (and church) will resist any indoctrination at school. Talk to your kids about everything even when it is uncomfortable. Don't let the establishment do all of the teaching.

Wow, the Left is really cheesed off. They are resurrecting Zinn, the man who almost single-handedly destroyed the public school curricula. We have to STOP FUNDING PUBLIC SCHOOLS, so long as this man's teaching is being used.

I only encountered politics once in my pre-college education. My fifth grade teacher (Sputnik time) warned us about communists on TV. I had just learned about taxation without representation and now she throws something new on me. Even in college, the only overt politics I saw was in a European history class. Hard to avoid politics there.

All of the school districts mentioned dodged a discussion of their guilt in this treachery.

Of course the teachers of America would download “free” lesson plans, which among the purple-haired, septum-ring set wants to work hard at developing lessons for their students? Do they EVER have to develop their “own” lessons without a Howard Zinn, or Evelyn Wood, or Wink Matindale?

Nice effort by Poster #4 - - but the real solution wasn't mentioned - - - -
Get the government out of education - - all education. No government ownership or funding of any education - - anywhere and at any level.
THAT is the ONLY solution.

Linda McMahon/The Department of Education should be responsible to address this and possibly hold back funding to prevent "The ZEP curriculum" from happening. Hopefully before "downsizing" the Department of Education and returning control of Education to the States.

Good luck sneaking that past my grandchildren; they are more conservative than I am. While they appreciate a "free education," they abide by their great-grandmother's adage: "Blessed is he that expects nothing, for he shall not be disappointed!" I had no idea they knew about stuff like that. My son must have done a good job with their stealth learning.

Many of these 'Administrators' should be in jail for abuse of children. Spanking doesn't do have the damage their brainwashing does!!

Nowhere in this education plan is there a goal or guidance for improving reading, writing, mathematics or science. It is despicable that these public employees are purposely distorting the minds of so many trusting school children.
