During my career in the IT field, the Indian workers brought in by contracting companies to do software engineering and the other technical tasks outworked and outperformed the American workers and didn't make hourly trips down to Starbucks, all the while making less money. They did not rush out the door at 5:00 pm. They did not come here simply to become parasites on welfare.

IMO, for what that's worth, a country should train it's citizens to be good citizens and hard worker in their own country, not work to ship them around the world.

I'm with #3. When a country's biggest export is its people, the country has a problem. And it's not *our* problem here in America or anywhere else in the world to create employment for Indians. #2: The farther back one goes, the more the observation of high levels of competence applies. Part of the reason for that is that there was no Tata Consulting greasing the migration skids so that people they *recruit* to take foreign jobs (in exchange for a cut of the compensation package) could leave the country and get placed into America. When there was no Tata Consulting facilitating large-scale migration, only Indians who really wanted to come to America came, and they integrated well. Today, corrupt businesses like the Singh trucking racket bring in people who don't want to be here but can't find employment in their own country. We neither need nor want these kinds of Indians. They should all be deported.

And they have destroyed many/most customer service call centers such as Dish Satellite - good luck being able to understand one of their CSRs when you call for technical assistance. One reason why I decided not to take advantage of their Boost cell service even though it's available to Dish members at a great low price.

Now that they've taken over FedEx, maybe their next move is to remove beef from menus and take over Wendy's, McDonald's, Burger King, and In and Out burger.

Re: #6. Some, many years ago, McDonald's had the best fries. They used beef tallow to fry the potatoes. Some Sikhs stopped and had some fries then discovered the type of oil and sued and made a big deal, McDonald's started using vegetable oil and their fries never tasted the same. I haven't eaten there in years, so I don't know what they use now, but it seems they could have just put up a warning sign instead of changing the oil company-wide. If I were CEO, I would have just told them to get bent and eat somewhere else in the future.

Trump, who is making trade and economic deals a top goal of his three-nation regional tour, said that Japanese Prime Minister Sanae Takaichi told him earlier in the day that the world’s largest car company would pour funds into American manufacturing plants.

In September 2017, a photograph surfaced on social media showing activist Linda Sarsour kneeling on a Brooklyn sidewalk beside campaign volunteers for City Council candidate Khader El-Yateem. Among them was a young organizer named Zohran Mamdani. That image, posted on El-Yateem’s campaign page, marked the beginning of a political collaboration that would soon extend far beyond a local election. Eight years later, Mamdani — now 34 — is positioned to seek the mayoralty of New York City. His ascent, according to a Fox News Digital investigation, is the result of a coordinated network of political and religious organizations that have advanced candidates sharing socialist and Islamist ideologies.

One aspect of the government shutdown that probably wasn’t anticipated by Chuck Schumer and other Democrats, is that it has revealed to the public just how many people receive food stamps. Years ago, when the program was still called ‘food stamps’ it was seen as something that struggling families might use temporarily to get through a hard time. Then it was re-branded as the ‘SNAP’ program and destigmatized. People were encouraged to enroll. Now there are many more people using the program, many who probably don’t even really need it. The longer the shutdown goes on, the more reports there are about this and it’s stunning to taxpayers

Let the wailing and gnashing of teeth begin. Within the first two weeks of the ongoing government shutdown, agency heads reportedly sent permanent layoff notices to about 4,000 federal employees under the guidance of Director of the Office of Management and Budget Russ Vought. But compared to the private sector, this is a proverbial drop in the bucket. The partial lapse in government funding has dragged on for 27 days now as Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer, D-N.Y., and 44 other senators continue to block the “clean” government funding measure that the House passed in September. As a result of the funding lapse, Vought says that 10,000 federal employees could ultimately

AT&T has quietly expanded its foreign workforce while securing a multimillion-dollar federal contract intended to bolster U.S. national security infrastructure. The U.S. Department of Homeland Security awarded AT&T a 10-year, $146 million contract last year to maintain and expand emergency communications systems such as the Government Emergency Telecommunications Service and Wireless Priority Service, according to a September 2024 company press release. The award extends AT&T’s long-running partnership with DHS into next-generation 5G networks. At the same time, federal immigration data shows the telecom giant has continued to rely on foreign labor. Yet the candidacy of Zohran Mamdani, an avowed socialist Democrat and recently naturalized U.S. citizen, has raised a troubling question: Did he obtain his citizenship under false pretenses?
