‘They Broke the Goodwill Contract’:
Canada’s Sweeping Firearm Seizure

Gun control in America’s northern neighbor has moved into confiscation phase, as Nova Scotia, Canada’s east coast province, kicked off a pilot program of “voluntary” gun buybacks in September, while the western provinces of Alberta and Saskatchewan say they will not comply. The national ban was originally decreed by then-Prime Minister Justin Trudeau’s government in 2020, covering 1,500 models of rifles, but has since been expanded to include more than 2,500 models. And while the ban is purported to cover “semi-automatic firearms with sustained rapid-fire capability,” the list of prohibited firearms also includes more traditional bolt-action rifles and shotguns commonly used in hunting.

There is nothing remotely "voluntary" about it. Give up the gun, or go to prison. Not voluntary.

Just one more reason for Alberta and Saskatchewan, the most American of the Canadian provinces, to become part of the United States of America. Regimes that disarm their civilians do so with the goal of killing them at some future time when their lives have become too inconvenient for their masters in Ottawa, or wherever. That always happens. Canada has gone commie, almost as if there were a iMadman up there running their affairs. (There was; his name is Justin Castreau, bastage son of the original Cigar Man.)

Alberta and Saskatchewan? Wasn't there some talk about them seceding and joining the US as two more states. Maybe BC also? This gun confiscation may just be the final reason they leave their rapidly declining country.

#22, fyi - NY State requires a background check on certain muzzleloaders. And here is your trivia for today. On January 30, 1835, President Jackson walked into the Capitol building, was confronted by a mentally ill house painter who believed he was King Richard III, and the house painter drew two flintlock pistols and fired both at the President. Each pistol misfired (thus the term flash in the pan) and a feeble, 68 year old President Jackson pummeled the would be assassin with his cane. The attempted assassin was acquitted of murder, by reason of insanity, and lived out his life in an insane asylum

When Governments ban or seize firearms from their citizens, it is because they KNOW they deserve to be overthrown or have plans to become so! America watchout! When it comes to gun confiscation... SHOOT first ask questions later!

Give up your guns, you give up your right to say no to your government. Tyranny will use any method to gain power and control. The first step is to take away the citizen's right to defend themselves. During WW2, Japan admitted that invading America was impossible. The reason, " There's a gun behind every blade of grass." To our Canadian friends " WAKE UP!"

This is how a government behaves when it's worried about its population getting mad enough to take matters into its own hands. They would like to give themselves more power and become an authoritarian state or even worse. After all, they truly consider that they have a divine right to rule since they are on the left and proper side of history. I use the word "divine" while knowing that most despise all religions except maybe Islam. I can see the western provinces considering secession and no good will come of this. Those provinces are well armed and will resist gun confiscation or worse. That is, of course, if they haven't become as feminized as the pansies in Ottawa.

Rep. Jasmine Crockett (D., Texas) owned stocks in at least 25 companies that she did not disclose to the public during her first congressional run in 2022, even though she'd quietly admitted to the holdings the previous year as a Texas state legislator. Crockett also didn't reveal the stock holdings once she got to Washington in 2023. The far-left firebrand's impressive financial portfolio—according to records obtained by the Washington Free Beacon through a public records request—clashes with her image as an eco-warrior and beacon of progressivism. Further, Crockett, a self-described civil rights attorney, was an active stakeholder in the cannabis business—seeking unsuccessfully to open marijuana dispensaries in Ohio—even as she represented,

In another example of the Trump effect, money transfer giant Western Union is reporting that its revenue from cash transfers to locations outside the U.S. has seen a 12 percent decline this year. Migrants living in the U.S. both legally and illegally have traditionally been the greatest source of U.S. dollars flowing out of America and into foreign nations, even dwarfing the amount of foreign aid lavished on the world by the U.S. government. But with Donald Trump’s focus on immigration, Western Union is seeing far fewer customers needing their services. Last week, Western Union CEO Devin McGranahan told investors that the company had seen a huge decline in cash transfers to

The Washington Post editorial board praised President Trump’s controversial demolition of the East Wing of the White House. “The White House cannot simply be a museum to the past. Like America, it must evolve with the times to maintain its greatness. Strong leaders reject calcification. In that way, Trump’s undertaking is a shot across the bow at NIMBYs everywhere,” the Post’s editorial board said in an opinion piece published Saturday. Destruction of the East Wing was completed last Thursday, with excavators first spotted the Monday before the demolition.

Republican lawmakers are pushing for permanent fixes to address the startling number of illegal migrant truckers wreaking havoc on American highways. In response to a growing number of fatal accidents caused by illegal migrant truck drivers, the Trump administration has mandated tougher English standards on commercial drivers and demanded state officials tighten their handling of Commercial Driver’s Licenses (CDLs). While similar reforms have been rolled back in Democratic administrations, lawmakers in Congress are touting bills that would keep these changes locked in place long after President Donald Trump leaves office.

The No Kings protests were a display of left-wing idiocy as participants dressed in costumes, chanted like ageing hippies at a Joan Baez concert, and held silly signs demanding that America have “no kings.” It would appear that they achieved their goal, since we haven’t been ruled by a monarch in 249 years. Great job, guys. Wind power has been sold to us as an environmental utopia, with lower costs, but ends up being nothing of the sort in practice. With the aid of government subsidies, we are putting up electric generating windmills all over the place. Such subsidies include the Production Tax Credit (PTC), which, according to the Institute for Energy research (IRER), provides a per-kilowatt-hour tax credit for electricity generated by qualified wind projects; and the Investment Tax Credit (ITC), which provides a tax credit based on the investment made in renewable energy projects, including wind. According to IRER, trillions are being invested here. The United States, under the Biden-Harris climate bill,
