For all the unity that the Democratic Party projects, there’s actually a lot of drama behind the scenes, and it’s nice to see the details finally come out.
According to a new tell-all on last year’s campaign, Joe Biden spent the last weeks of his re-election meltdown dodging phone calls—not from reporters or donors, but from Barack Obama himself. For two full weeks before he finally bailed out last July, Biden reportedly refused to take his old boss’s calls. And get this: even after he quit, he gave Obama the cold shoulder for another month.
It’s a far cry from the friendly dynamic Democrats once sold to the public. Remember the memes,

Wind power has been sold to us as an environmental utopia, with lower costs, but ends up being nothing of the sort in practice.
With the aid of government subsidies, we are putting up electric generating windmills all over the place. Such subsidies include the Production Tax Credit (PTC), which, according to the
Institute for Energy research (IRER), provides a per-kilowatt-hour tax credit for electricity generated by qualified wind projects; and the Investment Tax Credit (ITC), which provides a tax credit based on the investment made in renewable energy projects, including wind. According to IRER, trillions are being invested here. The United States, under the Biden-Harris climate bill,

We spoke in yesterday’s installment, of the financial costs of wind power. I also suggested that the UK is our coal mine canary in these matters. So, maybe the best thing here is to let Scottish MEP Struan Stevenson speak about what the UK is seeing: (X) Is this making money for the power companies?
Well, yes.
In August of 2024, for example, the Wall Street Journal dove in and found:
New York state signed a contract in June to buy electricity generated by two large wind farms, Empire Wind 1 and Sunrise Wind, off the coast of Long Island. The projects are expected to begin in 2026 and 2027,

To me, the most incredible story this week was well-buried in the press: The arrest of “La Diabla,” the female cartel member who butchered pregnant women, stole their organs, and sold their babies.
The day’s most astonishing crime-fighting anecdote came from Tulsi Gabbard, who described a story reported last month in the New York Post under the headline, “Female cartel member ‘La Diabla’ busted for running horrific baby-trafficking, organ-harvesting rings.” Tulsi described a new “Fusion Cell” at the ODNI that works with governments like Mexico to find and arrest evil cartel serial killers like “La Diabla” (the Devil), who in assembly-line fashion lured pregnant Mexican women, murdered them, harvested

Matthew Hoffman, the ex-husband of former Congresswoman and gubernatorial candidate Katie Porter, reportedly suffered the indignity (and injury) of having Porter pour boiling potatoes over his head. Now that Porter's volatile temper and bad behavior to her staffers has been exposed for all to see, Hoffman has decided to break his silence on their relationship and confirm what most of us already know: she's a terrible politician, and would make an even worse governor.
Hoffman spills the tea. Fortunately, since he lives in OR now, he has a state between them to insulate him from any blowback.

There's an old internet meme going around that depicts a plate of bacon and eggs, with the caption, "They say every strip of bacon you eat takes six minutes off your life. If that were true, I'd have died in 1788." I don't know as I've eaten quite that much bacon in my life, but I've sure had some, and will probably have quite a bit more. Bacon is meat candy; it's a gift pigs give us when we're good.
So, of course, some people are trying to take it away.

What do people wear to protests? The "No Kings" protests of Oct. 18, 2025, predominantly featured white people aged from 55 to 70+. About 70% were comprised of women, and although they sometimes wore prescription glasses, most were without facial coverings or glasses. They were mostly liberal but ordinary, and they wore ordinary civilian clothes.
But notice that not all protesters are similarly garbed. The regulars in environmental rallies not only often wear dark glasses but also face paint, masks, or props like fake blood. In even harder-core protests, Antifa participants are more likely to wear hoodies, face covers, bandanas, or Guy Fawkes masks (popularized by the movie V for Vendetta).

Thankfully, it wasn’t a heavy news week. So the week’s memes are dominated by soft news stories. like the No Kings protest–which, despite being over for nearly a week, continues to inspire memes–the ongoing government shutdown, the robbery of priceless jewels from the Louvre, and my personal favorite, President Trump’s demolition of the East Wing of the White House.
The East Wing connects to the presidential residence via a walkway, and houses the First Lady’s office. The First Lady’s staff, like the social secretary, is housed there, too. Also the Graphics and Calligraphy Office. These offices are being temporarily relocated

A 48-page report released in September exposes the depth of the nation’s teachers’ unions’ hostility toward all things Jewish. “Breaking Solidarity: How Anti-Semitic Activists Turned Teacher Unions Against Israel,” published by the Defense of Freedom Institute in September, explains how unions have worked to embed anti-Semitism into K–12 education.
This anti-Semitism was brought to light after Hamas’s horrific attack on Israel on October 7, 2023, the deadliest single attack on Jews since the Holocaust.
The DFI report states that while the teacher unions that once proudly invested in Israel and fiercely affirmed its right to defend itself, “now demand boycotts of, divestments from, and sanctions against the world’s only Jewish state.

The insurrection continues apace. California officials, including Nancy Pelosi, have threatened to arrest and criminally prosecute ICE agents who allegedly violate California law. Pelosi and Congressman Kevin Mullin issued this press release on Wednesday:
"Reports of a planned mass immigration raid in the Bay Area are an appalling abuse of law enforcement power. Broad sweeps that target families and terrorize law-abiding residents (Snip) This statement can charitably be described as disgraceful. What are the “certain actions” that federal agents have taken elsewhere that supposedly would be illegal in California, and under what California laws? Pelosi isn’t saying. The reference to “his rogue Supreme Court” is outrageous, as is the threat that

An underrated quality in life is knowing when to stay out of a debate. I won't claim to have always been perfect in that area, but hoo boy, did Chelsea Clinton fail the test on Thursday.
If you've been following the news, you're likely aware of the ongoing meltdown over President Donald Trump using private donations to remodel the East Wing into a ballroom. Since pictures of the construction went viral, nearly every Democrat politician and those adjacent to them have chimed in to claim it's symbolic of the destruction of our democracy. To call it mind-numbingly pretentious would be an understatement. But while the protestations from Elizabeth Warren,

I was one of those many, many retired officers who thought it was great when Pete Hegseth walked in and told an assembly of hundreds of generals and admirals that they suck and are fat, and they needed to unsuck and get unfat. Well, he was a little more polite than that, but not much. Of course, when their subordinates screw up in a massive way like these generals and admirals have over the last three decades, these generals and admirals would not have sugarcoated it. There would be no talk of feelings, no hugging. They would nuke their delinquent subordinates until they glowed. Some of the flag officers—
