No More (Bureaucrats Who Would Be) Kings

If you’re reading this today, you probably did not join the aged hippies marching around with signs saying “No more Kings,”a multistate demonstration whose sponsors are not yet fully disclosed. (I don’t think Meghan and Harry are among them, though there are some foreign donors involved.) But rest assured, you didn't miss much. John Bolton: This Week in “No Man is Above the Law” The biggest domestic story of the week in my view was the indictment of former National Security Adviser John Bolton. If the 18-count indictment handed down by a federal grand jury in Maryland where he resides is proven, he demonstrated astonishing arrogance and disregard for national security.

"I confess that I have not always given Secretary of State Marco Rubio all the credit he deserves. He has been astonishing." Years back I was greatly disappointed by Rubio's seeming instability and occasional silliness, which caused me to shudder. The potential was there but sometimes ... He has matured magnificently, especially as Secretary of State. Even in interviews, where it is easy to get too far over your skis, he is crystal clear in his thinking, thoughtful in his analysis, and rock steady in his intent.

Defeating the UN Scam Tax was not so difficult if you consider the volume of shipping that America is involved in. We would have simply raised tariffs on the countries that fell for it and they would have been hurt even more without our money. The UN created this scheme as a factor of their own survival, which is up for debate at the moment. It's good to be King.

I looked at the speeches for a few minutes but turned them off. The last thing I need in my life is some angry black woman going into a tirade in a ghetto accent. Nothing on that screen had even anything remotely to do with me or any reality I might be living.

If Bolton is convicted, that will be enough for me. He's an old man unlikely to pose a threat to anyone anymore. I don't care so much how many years he spends in prison. Peter Navarro was (wrongly) prosecuted and imprisoned by the crooked Biden DOJ; if Andrew Bolton were sentenced to an identical term in prison, that would more than suffice. As a highly public persona, all this news about Bolton's sub rosa, underhanded self-dealing in secret documents and his arrogance has already damaged whatever shimmer of esteem he may have built up around himself over the years. He is, and will remain, damaged goods for the rest of his life. I could not agree more with #1's comment about Marco Rubio as Secretary of State. Thoroughly impressive, both in his skill in managing new developments like the Israel-Hamas peace agreement and his ongoing swamp-cleaning at Foggy Bottom.

Re #1 and #5, Rubio is doing an excellent job implementing the excellent policies of an excellent President. Unfortunately he served the odious chairmen Warner and Burr equally faithfully during his many years on the Senate Intelligence Committee. How would he function as President and chief policy maker? George H. W. Bush talked the talk as Reagan's Vice but quickly returned to form when he was foolishly entrusted with the presidency.

It seems to me that Schumer is who is like he thinks he is king. And, several partisan Democrats district judges seem to have the same idea. Their nationwide restraining orders far exceeds the bounds of the authority of their districting defiance of the SCOTUS.

I believe Marco Rubio is foreign born. If so, as he's a Republican, he wouldn't be eligible. If he was a DemoRoid, no problem. Anything the DemoRoids accuse the Republicans of being, or want to be, it's what they are or want to be. For example, kings.

House Republican Leadership Chairwoman Elise Stefanik (R-NY) unloaded Friday on House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries (D-NY) after he officially endorsed “jihadist communist” Zohran Mamdani for New York City mayor, declaring the decision will doom Democrats’ chances of retaking the House. In a blistering statement, Stefanik did not mince words. “Like the Worst Governor in America @KathyHochul, Democrat Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries finally bent the knee and endorsed the jihadist communist Zohran Mamdani for New York City mayor,” she said, calling it “an AWFUL decision for Jeffries” that exposes “just how bad his judgment is.”

When socialist Zohran Mamdani won the New York City mayoral primary, we said that the concern expressed by some Democrats was phony, because they didn’t want to admit just how far left their party had drifted. Now, they’ve given up that pretense entirely. On Friday, House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries endorsed socialist Mamdani, saying the 33-year-old trust fund baby “has relentlessly focused on addressing the affordability crisis and explicitly committed to being a mayor for all New Yorkers.” He’s the most senior-ranking Democrat to do so, but he joins a list that already includes Sens. Election Day offers hope for ousting soft-on-crime Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg: Republican Maud Maron. Yes, independent candidate Diana Florence, a 25-year veteran prosecutor, has also called out Bragg’s penchant for letting repeat offenders walk and his failure to protect women from violent criminals. But Maron, a former public defender and mom of four, is the better choice to head one of the most important prosecutor’s offices in America — a job that Bragg has made impotent during his tenure. Her 20-year career as a public defender enables her to understand the need to hold criminals accountable, deliver justice to crime victims and hold repeat offenders responsible for their actions —

The high court is set to hear oral arguments on November 5 on Trump’s tariffs after a lower court ruled they were illegal. “The Ronald Reagan Foundation has just announced that Canada has fraudulently used an advertisement, which is FAKE, featuring Ronald Reagan speaking negatively about Tariffs,” Trump said.
