A Virginia couple has gone to court to try to block President Donald Trump from proceeding with demolition of the White House’s East Wing to make way for a new ballroom. Charles and Judith Voorhees filed a motion in Washington federal court Thursday afternoon, asking a judge to halt any further damage to the White House while the legality of the project is assessed. The motion seeks a temporary restraining order against the demolition, arguing it is taking place “without legally required approvals or reviews.”

From the lawyer/engineer driving this idiocy: “I feel like a lot of people want to do something about this, but nothing seems to be happening,” said Mark Denicore, the attorney who filed the motion. “I threw that together as fast as I could to try to get it filed as fast as I could.”

Biden built a fake Oval Office and had a tranny Easter (after stealing an election). Obama built a basketball court & Mike tore up turf for a veggie garden then framed Trump with Russia crap. Clinton soiled everything, Hillary stole everything, and their staffs even stole the 'W' keys off keyboards. But Trump, who donates his entire paycheck, pays for an upgraded ballroom out of his own pocket and this is somehow causing lefties to wet themselves in fear. Ugh.

Oops, buddy. Too late. Ajnd then there is this - FTA: The new court filing, which names Trump and National Park Service Director Jessica Brown as defendants, alleges that the demolition and construction violates the National Capital Planning Act and the National Historic Preservation Act, as well as a mandatory review by the Commission of Fine Arts. However, at least one of those laws contains an explicit exemption for the White House, the Capitol and the Supreme Court buildings. It’s also unclear whether any further demolition is planned. Photos show the entirety of the East Wing was knocked down in recent days. The filing, which was not accompanied by the formal complaint that typically initiates a lawsuit and was mislabeled in the court’s online docketing system, appears to be the first legal action over Trump’s ballroom project. Hiis main business seems to be as a cojsulting engineer.

Too late. I think it's been torn down. And keep in mind that the East Wing is a totally separate building from the WH. It was built in 1950-51 over a Cold War era underground Presidential command post, after Truman tore down a much smaller building built in 1902. Connected to the actual WH via a walkway.

And how many complaints and lawsuits were there when Truman ACTUALLY totally destroyed ALL of gghe historic parts of the actual WH in the 1950 remodel? Everything inside the exterior walls was knocked down. There eere bulkdozers and dump trucks INSIDE the WH, wiith a massive steel structure inside to keep the exterior walls from collapsing. There is NO history of the interior before 1952 that remains, other than the exterior facades.

Federal court blocks Texas from using

Texas cannot use its new congressional map for the 2026 election and will instead need to stick with the lines passed in 2021, a three-judge panel ruled Tuesday. The decision is a major blow for Republicans, in Texas and nationally, who pushed through this unusual mid-decade redistricting at the behest of President Donald Trump. They were hoping the new map would yield control of 30 of the state’s 38 congressional districts — up from the 25 they currently hold — and help protect the narrow GOP majority in the U.S. House.

Murkowski, of Alaska, said in a lengthy statement that allegations of excessive drinking and aggressive actions toward women, which Hegseth has denied, show that his behaviors “starkly contrast” with what is expected of the U.S. military. She also noted his past statements that women should not fill military combat roles. “I remain concerned about the message that confirming Mr. Hegseth sends to women currently serving and those aspiring to join,” Murkowski wrote on social media.

COP30, the UN climate conference, is underway in Belem, Brazil. Thousands of representatives from all over the world have journeyed to discuss how to cut carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions to try to fight human-caused climate change. But ten years after the Paris Climate Agreement, the global consensus on climate change is crumbling. COP30 is the thirtieth “conference of the parties.” The first took place in Berlin in 1995. At COP21 in Paris in 2015, more than 190 countries signed the Paris Climate Agreement, pledging to cut emissions and to limit global warming to 2 degrees Celsius above pre-industrial levels. About 50,000 people are attending COP30 from more than 190 nations.

America’s crime map is not random. And it is not evenly distributed. It forms a pattern, a persistent outline that says more about the country than any campaign speech or census brochure ever could. When you trace the safest states in America, you trace a corridor of calm: New Hampshire, Maine, Vermont’s shadow, Idaho’s long sweep of farms and foothills. Places where the pace is steady and the population overwhelmingly white. When you trace the most dangerous states, the pattern changes just as sharply — a concentration of chaos in states marked by sprawling cities, fractured communities, and the kind of “diverse” demographic makeup polite society insists you never mention.
