ABC's This Week host, aging Clintonite muppet George Stephanopoulos, found himself playing the role of a rotisserie chicken as he attempted to talk about anything but the Schumer Shutdown with Vice President JD Vance.
You'd think the government shutdown would be a major item for Stephanopoulos, but as the administration is refusing to break ranks and seems to be turning the crisis of no appropriations into an opportunity to slash the government workforce.
Stephanopoulos led off with a nonsense assertion that U.S. troops would be peacekeepers in Gaza. From there, he went to National Guard deployment and the flaccid resistance of a federal judge and Illinois's morbidly obese governor, J.B. Pritzker.

They can't ignore her. And she won't stop praising President Trump.
Nobel peace prize winner Maria Corina Machado has got the press over a barrel with her continuous praise of President Trump, going on every mainstream media outlet to say just that.
Just look at the tight, pained, face of CBS's Lilia Luciano when Machado explains why Trump is so good for world peace and peace in Venezuela -- she pours it on: CBS had to run with it, there was no editing allowed now, not after the flak they took, the big payouts they paid, for all their selective editing in the past. It probably helps

Israel Defense Forces (IDF) Chief of Staff Lt. Gen. Eyal Zamir delivered a victory address Sunday, after his troops pulled back to ceasefire lines within Gaza and prepared to escort the released hostages back to Israel.
His remarks are as follows (translated from Hebrew by the IDF):
Bereaved families,
IDF personnel harmed physically or emotionally,
IDF soldiers and commanders, in mandatory, carrer, and reserve service and their families,
Citizens of Israel,
The IDF is now launching Operation “Returning Home” to return our hostages from Hamas captivity. In a few hours we will all be reunited – one people, embraced and united.

Even Barack Obama’s former Homeland Security secretary is blaming Democrats for the government shutdown—a stunning admission that underscores just how disastrous the party’s obstruction has become. Jeh Johnson, who led the Department of Homeland Security during the Obama administration, appeared on CNN’s The Source with Kaitlan Collins and openly broke with his party, warning that Democrats are making a “mistake” by filibustering the CR and shutting down the government.
Collin began by playing a clip of a past exchange between her and White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt, who placed the blame squarely at the feet of Democrats for the Reductions in Force

Democrats spent years insisting that providing free healthcare to illegal immigrants was a moral imperative. They haven’t exactly kept that a secret. During the 2020 Democratic presidential primaries, every single candidate promised their healthcare plans would cover healthcare for illegals. Now, though, they've shut down the federal government to protect funding streams for these programs—but are pretending that’s not what they are after.
Nevertheless, we know what their objectives are. But their crusade to give free healthcare to illegals has hit a bit of a snag. Faced with exploding costs and healthcare systems on the brink of collapse, blue state governors are quietly pulling the plug on their own sacred cow.

Venezuelan opposition leader María Corina Machado — who was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize Friday — said she is counting on President Trump now “more than ever” as her movement is on the “threshold of victory.”
“This immense recognition of the struggle of all Venezuelans is an impetus to conclude our task: to conquer Freedom,” she told The Post in a statement from her South American hideout after the Norwegian Nobel Committee announced her win.
“We are on the threshold of victory and today more than ever we count on President Trump, the people of the United States,

Donald Trump began his promised mass purge of federal workers Friday, as more than 4,100 people were laid off as the government shutdown rolls on. The president previewed the pink slips in a press conference in the Oval Office earlier Friday, blaming them and the shutdown on the Democrats. 'It'll be a lot and it'll be Democrat-oriented because we figure they started this thing. It'll be a lot of people, all because of the Democrats,' Trump said.
It's the biggest set of firings in government since Elon Musk's DOGE (Department of Government Efficiency) purge early in Trump's second term. The White House budget office said Friday that mass firings

WASHINGTON — President Donald Trump said Friday that “there seems to be no reason” to meet with Chinese leader Xi Jinping as part of an upcoming trip to South Korea after China restricted exports of rare earths needed for American industry.
The Republican president suggested that he was looking at a “massive increase” of import taxes on Chinese products in response to Xi’s moves.
“One of the Policies that we are calculating at this moment is a massive increase of Tariffs on Chinese products coming into the United States of America,” Trump posted on his Truth Social platform. “There are many other countermeasures that are, likewise, under serious consideration.”

Sex offender Richard Kenneth Cox claimed to be transgender in order to access women’s bathrooms and locker rooms in Virginia where he exposed himself to women and young girls. When he reached out to a local school board member using an alias to complain about a pool’s locker-room policy and the alleged transphobic treatment he faced, he received a sympathetic reply.
Arlington School Board member Kathleen Clark told Cox that she hoped he “did not experience transphobic statements from the staff. You should be able to use the showers

The Washington Post, even after owner Jeff Bezos's shakeups, is anything but a publication friendly to Republicans or the Trump administration. But even members of the legacy media sometimes have to admit the obvious.
One of those is Washington Post Marc A. Thiessen, who on Thursday penned a piece making the case for President Trump being awarded the Nobel Peace Prize. This isn't a new notion; the idea's been kicked around before. But the calls seem to be getting louder.
Not only does Donald Trump deserve the Nobel Peace Prize, but there has arguably never been an American president who deserved it more.

MELBOURNE, Florida — The Florida man accused of sparking the flames that burned swaths of Los Angeles to the ground in the Palisades Fire posted on social media about how global warming causes wildfires.
Jonathan Rinderknecht, 29, regularly took to Facebook to share posts about eco-apocalypses, mocking President Trump and his supporters, and pushing people to become vegans.
One article he shared – “Climate Change Will Force a New American Migration,” from ProPublica – even included a thumbnail showing wildfires raging across a California hillside neighborhood. That 2020 story opened by discussing blazing West Coast temperatures.
It’s eerily – and ironically – similar to the situation Rinderknecht is accused

Secretary of War Pete Hegseth made a shocking announcement about enlistment after ridding the U.S. military of its woke invasion, and he credited President Donald Trump's leadership as the main reason.
During Trump's cabinet meeting at the White House on Thursday, Hegseth revealed that recruitment and reenlistment were at record levels, exceeding goals they had set for the year. "We saw record recruitment in 2025, Mr. President," Hegseth said in front of the press. "The first two weeks of [Fiscal Year] 2026 [which starts in October] already blows that out …[FY 2026] already blows it out the water."
"In fact, reenlistment has already reached
