They can't ignore her. And she won't stop praising President Trump. Nobel peace prize winner Maria Corina Machado has got the press over a barrel with her continuous praise of President Trump, going on every mainstream media outlet to say just that. Just look at the tight, pained, face of CBS's Lilia Luciano when Machado explains why Trump is so good for world peace and peace in Venezuela -- she pours it on: CBS had to run with it, there was no editing allowed now, not after the flak they took, the big payouts they paid, for all their selective editing in the past. It probably helps

The only thing better than PDJT 2.0 singing his own praises, is Maria Corina Machado singing his praises. She is completely nullifying the Nobel Committee's effort to snub President Trump. His accomplishments were all achieved after the Nobel deadline of Jan 31, 2025, so they'll be eligible for consideration for next year's prize, but I fear that TDS is strong with that committee. Bless their little hearts.

Ahh! The unexpected serendipities of life. Whoda thunk that the recipient would be MAVA (Venezuela) and proudly salute PDT? (Will the 'committee' start interviewing candidates to make sure that they are not in alignment with PDT?) Will PDT invite her to the SOTU speech?

I don’t think the Nobel committee snubbed Trump. The nomination was for work done in 2024. I think this woman deserves it. That said, if Trump had wanted to make himself look good, this would be the way to do it. This woman is absolutely amazing and she is spot on in praising President Trump for his assistance to the good people of Venezuela.

Trump would not agree, but this is actually better for him than winning the prize. The winner is basically saying that his accomplishment is worthy of the prize.

When we argued that Joe Biden couldn't have possibly cut this deal, we had no idea how correct we had been. To some surprise, Hamas actually and finally gave up its last remaining living hostages today. In doing so, they also parted with the last bit of leverage they have in order to come out of the war they launched two years ago with any sort of face-saving concessions. So why did they agree to this capitulation? Donald Trump left them no choice, having cut off every other diplomatic and military option, as the Wall Street Journal reports today: Egypt and Qatar told Hayya the deal

Something remarkable happened Monday morning on C-SPAN, and it captures exactly what President Trump has accomplished with his brokered peace deal between Israel and Hamas. A lifelong Democrat from New York was moved to tears by Trump’s speech to the Knesset. The caller, identifying himself as a conservative Democrat, phoned into C-SPAN and promptly broke down in tears live on air. He was overcome with emotion discussing Trump's historic speech and the peace agreement that brought the remaining Israeli hostages home after two years in captivity. Trump stood before Israeli lawmakers and declared words that once seemed impossible.

JERUSALEM/CAIRO - Hamas handed over some of its last surviving Israeli hostages on Monday, a key step in ending two years of devastating conflict in Gaza as part of a ceasefire deal pushed by U.S. President Donald Trump, who landed in Israel to address the parliament. With hundreds of cheering people gathered in Tel Aviv's Hostages Square, Israel's military said it had received the first seven of 20 surviving hostages after their transfer out of Gaza by the Red Cross. "I am so excited. I am full of happiness. It's hard to imagine how I feel this moment. I didn't sleep all night," said Viki Cohen, mother of hostage Nimrod Cohen,

ABC's This Week host, aging Clintonite muppet George Stephanopoulos, found himself playing the role of a rotisserie chicken as he attempted to talk about anything but the Schumer Shutdown with Vice President JD Vance. You'd think the government shutdown would be a major item for Stephanopoulos, but as the administration is refusing to break ranks and seems to be turning the crisis of no appropriations into an opportunity to slash the government workforce. Stephanopoulos led off with a nonsense assertion that U.S. troops would be peacekeepers in Gaza. From there, he went to National Guard deployment and the flaccid resistance of a federal judge and Illinois's morbidly obese governor, J.B. Pritzker.

Even Barack Obama’s former Homeland Security secretary is blaming Democrats for the government shutdown—a stunning admission that underscores just how disastrous the party’s obstruction has become. Jeh Johnson, who led the Department of Homeland Security during the Obama administration, appeared on CNN’s The Source with Kaitlan Collins and openly broke with his party, warning that Democrats are making a “mistake” by filibustering the CR and shutting down the government. Collin began by playing a clip of a past exchange between her and White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt, who placed the blame squarely at the feet of Democrats for the Reductions in Force

Democrats spent years insisting that providing free healthcare to illegal immigrants was a moral imperative. They haven’t exactly kept that a secret. During the 2020 Democratic presidential primaries, every single candidate promised their healthcare plans would cover healthcare for illegals. Now, though, they've shut down the federal government to protect funding streams for these programs—but are pretending that’s not what they are after. Nevertheless, we know what their objectives are. But their crusade to give free healthcare to illegals has hit a bit of a snag. Faced with exploding costs and healthcare systems on the brink of collapse, blue state governors are quietly pulling the plug on their own sacred cow.

Joe Biden's post-presidency has been rough, to put it mildly. Nearly nine months after Donald Trump reclaimed the White House, Biden is holed up in Wilmington, Delaware, grappling with a reality that must feel like political exile. He's dealing not just with the sting of losing power, but also the inability to sell access and enrich his family. Though he won’t admit to the latter. The irony couldn’t be thicker. After years of attacking Trump and using the Justice Department in a desperate bid to put his successor behind bars, Biden now finds himself being told by his own advisers to stay quiet and act like a traditional ex-president.

Norton, an 88-year-old Democrat who has held office as the district's non-voting member in Congress since 1991, only raised $3,227.30 between July 1 and Sept. 30, according to a quarterly disclosure her campaign filed Wednesday with the Federal Election Commission, NOTUS reported. As a House delegate, Holmes Norton can vote on bills when they are in committee but cannot cast final floor votes. As of Sept. 30, Norton's campaign had just $6,477.50 in cash on hand and is $90,000 in debt to Norton, who personally loaned her reelection committee money

Democrats shut down the government partly to force Republicans to extend COVID-era boosts in Obamacare subsidies that Dems once called “temporary” but now say are needed to keep the program viable. This reveals what a true disaster Obamacare has been, as its critics warned even as Dems were ramming it into law with not a single Republican vote in 2010. Blindly tossing fresh trillions down that hole is nuts: Time to fix it — or scrap it altogether. The 10-year cost of Dems’ current demand totals almost a half-trillion dollars, to benefit primarily insurers and wealthier Americans. Here’s how the game works. In Trump’s first administration, radical federal judges just issued rulings blocking government actions. As the second term admin has been more aggressive about pursuing Supreme Court interventions, federal district judges are issuing frivolous rulings intended to barrage SCOTUS with a constant need to intervene. And that’s followed by complaints to the media that the Supreme Court is seizing too much power and undermining the judiciary.
