Melania Trump is in her “Top Gun” era. The first lady channeled Charlotte “Charlie” Blackwood while visiting Naval Station Norfolk in Norfolk, Va., on Sunday as part of a Salute to the Fleet celebration in honor of its 250th anniversary. The 55-year-old donned a brown leather bomber jacket for this weekend’s event, which she paired with a collared white shirt and dark wash denim jeans. She completed her look with aviator shades and added a white baseball cap with “USA” embroidered across the front. The look was reminiscent of Tom Cruise’s beloved “Top Gun” character US Navy aviator Lt. Pete “Maverick” Mitchell’s love interest, played by Kelly McGillis in the franchise.

Democrat Virginia Attorney General candidate Jay Jones appears to have violated the community service terms for his 2022 reckless driving charge, according to a statement the office that prosecuted the case provided to the Daily Caller.
Jones was arrested in New Kent County for driving 46 miles per hour over the speed limit in 2022. He avoided jail time through a “deferred deposition,” which allowed him to pay a fine and complete community service hours. New Kent Deputy Commonwealth’s Attorney Randy Del Rossi told the Caller that Virginia defines community service as “unpaid service or labor performed through any non-political, charitable non-profit,” confirming prior reporting

(CATOU) is a New York-based nonprofit trade organization registered as a 501(c)6 that has allegedly helped over 1,000 Chinese students obtain CDLs and has a 100% pass rate, according to its business filings, social media posts and website. Videos posted on social media by an individual who crossed the U.S. southern border illegally shows they were able to rapidly obtain California CDLs after taking courses taught by CATOU instructors.
United States immigration authorities are moving to dramatically expand their social media surveillance, with plans to hire nearly 30 contractors to sift through posts, photos, and messages—raw material to be transformed into intelligence for deportation raids and arrests. Generally speaking, the people of Gaza are barbarians. That’s not true to a person, but it’s true as a people.
Their education level is extremely low, even in comparison to the education levels in Democrat-controlled big cities in America.
They live in abject poverty. Their economy is primitive and much of it is barter-based. Their currency, to the extent they use one, is the Israeli shekel but U.S. dollars and Jordanian dinars are in regular circulation as well.
Their unemployment rate is thought to be around 80%, though figures are hard to come by. There’s scarcely any industry. There are few stores, and their shelves are empty.
Most of this squalor is endemic.
A combination of ideology, social media, mental health disorders, and medication may be influencing recent trends in violence and radicalization among those who identify as transgender, according to experts.

A federal judge on Sunday temporarily blocked the Trump administration from deploying any National Guard units to Oregon, including the California National Guard.
California and Oregon sought the temporary restraining order after the president sent guard members from California to Oregon earlier in the day.
On Saturday, the same judge temporarily blocked the administration from deploying Oregon National Guard troops to Portland.
A Pentagon spokesperson said in a statement that about 200 federalized members of the California National Guard who had been on duty around Los Angeles were being reassigned to Portland. Oregon Gov. Tina Kotek said about 100 arrived Saturday and around 100 more were en route Sunday.
Attorney General Pam Bondi got into a heated exchange with Democratic Sen. Richard Blumenthal (Conn.), accusing him of “lying” about his military record when asked about the lobbying activities of her former firm, Ballard Partners.
The back-and-forth took place during a Senate Judiciary Committee oversight hearing with Bondi on Tuesday.(snip)That prompted an indignant response from Bondi, who immediately pivoted to accusing Blumenthal of lying about his military record.
