Hold on to your britches because you’re not going to believe this one. The Washington Post Editorial Board just admitted that the so-called "Affordable Care Act," one the most notorious pieces of Obama-era legislation foisted upon consumers by legislators and the liberal media as the saving grace of American health care, turned out to be an expensive mess.
The Post tried to play both sides of the fence in the ongoing government shutdown stand off with Republicans and Democrats, the latter of which demanded “Republicans agree to extend the Covid-era insurance subsidies without proposing any way to pay for it.” Then The Post ran one of the biggest plot twists ever

I was working as an independent contractor prior to Obamacare. My insurance was $60 a month. After Obamacare, it went to more than $600 a month. My doctor's office had to hire additional staff to do all the extra paperwork required by Obamacare. Insurance companies didn't increase what they paid for visits, so that was an expensive that came out of the doctors' pockets. No wonder so many decided to retire early.

NOW can we repeal this massive, corrupt, rotten, destructive disaster?

I said it then, and it is obvious now for those willing to see, the Affordable Care Act was designed to completely break health care in the United States, at which point they intended to introduce single payer health coverage as the fix.

As a retired insurance agent, I can surely attest to what a disaster Obamacare turned about to be....complicated and confusing even for a long time agent. This country has always been wealthy enough to find some way to provide healthcare for those who cannot afford it, but with the overwhelming numbers of illegals that have swarmed in courtesy of the Biden Administration, I am not so sure if we aren't close to breaking our healthcare system.

Millions of people are getting healthcare with zero premiums. Who pays for that? Nobody! It gets added to the debt and the government doesn't have any money and the money lenders have had enough. What's coming down the road is failure by design. Our government did this to us. The people running our government want failure or were paid off to go along with this.

Interesting that I don't seem to recall the drumbeat of TV ads run by the RNC using that quote.
But then Obamacare was never intended to be affordable but the means to wedge more government workers onto the payroll.
Healthcare used to increase roughly the rate of inflation until Medicare came into existence, then there was this massive spike in costs ever since.

I love the way that various institutions are admitting to things that we have known about since their origin. 2020 election cheating, Obamacare as a mask to disguise free healthcare for all who could not afford it. FBI and CIA spying, Hillary's multiple crimes. I hope they stay shut down for months and all democrats are fired. They deserve it for what they did to us. Republicans tried to abolish Obamacare several times. John Roberts bullied the Supreme Court into passing it, Congress would not vote it out because they have their own premium healthcare. It's legal robbery.

Obamacare was called out by Supreme Court Judge Roberts his exact words were, “ this is not healthcare it’s a tax on the American people”. A few days later after he got his arm twisted he voted to ultimately pass it into law!
The truth is like cream it always will end up on top for all to see.

Obamacare lost me at the part about, “If you like your Doctor, you can keep your Doctor.”
It was the Federal government’s biggest disaster legislation in American history. In fact everything Obozo did was bad policy, filled with latent failures, wrapped in bureaucratic red-tape of epic proportions. I doubt if there’d be many tears shed for it.

The sleazy scum who make up the employees of the Post have known this for 15 years. Why now finally admit it? All their credibility vanished years ago. Is this an exceedingly lame attempt to regain respect? Probably... will it work? Probably not.

People are missing the one big win with Obamacare. For a brief time in recent history, the Democrats had the presidency, the House, and enough Senate votes to do whatever they wanted with America. Instead, they spent all of their time in creating this massive healthcare fraud misnamed the Affordable Care Act. Imagine the havoc they could have rained down on America!

Pre Obama Care, I had employer provided health insurance for about $100 per month with a $300 per year deductible. It would be considered a Gold Plan today, Cadillac coverage. Today, the company can no longer afford to provide health insurance. I get the privilege of paying $865 per month for a single person with a $7200 deductible before anything is paid, including prescriptions. I put money into my Health savings account to help pay for medical expenses and lower my taxes. If I have a severe medical issue in a year, I potentially pay out at least $17,580 thanks to the "Affordable" Care Act. Not very affordable.

These cowards, attempting to rewrite history, were pusillanimous cheerleaders for the left when GOP leaders were trying to educate Demonrats on the horrors of their bill. Anything with Obama’s name on it, is doomed to not live up to epectations.

Me? My healthcare costs me over $25,000 a year .
What choice do I have, It's either that or face a catastrophic monetary loss if I have an illness and need to be hospitalized. I could lose my home. Me and the rest of the Middle class.

My health care was so much better pre Obamacare. Medications weren't so expensive. I pay 85.00 a month for a tiny bottle of eyedrops for my glaucoma and that's for the generic. My son is an independent contractor and can't afford insurance. Luckily my hometown has a concierge nurse practitioner who takes self pay and doesn't charge an arm and a leg.

Medicare now $650 per month. Plus many expensive co-pays. My wife and I are paying a yearly total of about 20k/year.
Private insurance per ACA cost about 12k/yr.

That the ACA was about "Healthcare" was a fallacy. Supreme Court Judge Roberts said “ this is not healthcare it’s a tax on the American people”. It WAS then & is STILL about the BIGGEST redistribution of wealth ever perpetuated on a population. And bidet's "inflation reduction" act (another fallacy) is continuing the legacy of doing just that. Both NEED TO BE REPEALED so we can re-start & make the system into something that actually works for consumers & physicians alike. Medicare for all is yet another fallacy - IT WILL NOT WORK!!!!

The democrats knew beyond a shadow of a doubt that obamacare was destined to fail without extensive manipulation. They counted on the republicans being trapped between letting it fail, and taking the blame for it failing, or pumping increased amounts of money to keep it afloat. Like Britain's healthcare costing 45% of the nation's budget, obamacare will eventually outgrow any capability to sustain it and the government, as planned, will be forced to go to government run/owned universal healthcare. This was all by design.

This is what McCain’s thumb got US.
Obamacare was put in place so that Illegal Aliens and our native parasitic classes don’t have to pay anything at all for healthcare. Private Doctors are closing their offices and those that are left charge you $2,000/year for Concierge services.
It used to be 30 years ago that if you were a pauper normal hospitals would put you in an ambulance to the County Hospital. Now Illegal aliens get the same as you at the emergency room.
I remember well that the American Medical Association supported Obamacare and the COVID hoax.
