A South Jersey nonprofit has fired its leader for requesting local middle schoolers participate in a reenactment depicting the abolitionist movement, the organization’s board president said Saturday. Betsy McBride, Stand Up for Salem’s executive director, was fired by the nonprofit, which focuses on civic work for Salem City, according to Tom Smith, who reported her termination to NJ Advance Media.

Comments:

The crux of this story is that the NAACP et. al. didn’t want Black Children participating in an educational program depicting the FACT that White Christians were an integral part of the Underground Railroad and Abolitionist Movement and a well meaning person was punished for it. Sad

If it were not for slavery and it's promotion and defense by southern democrats, the modern democrat party would have nothing with which to make Americans feel guilty enough to vote for them. The facts are twisted with abandon and the gullibility is unbelievable. Even stupid people like Joe Biden could easily use that tool.

President Trump announced early Friday that a suspect has been arrested for Charlie Kirk’s assassination. “I think, with a high degree of certainty, we have him,” Trump told “Fox & Friends” during a live interview at the cable giant’s Manhattan studio, saying he heard just minutes before his 8 a.m. interview. “Somebody who was very close to him turned him in,” the president said, saying it was relayed through “a minister who was involved with law enforcement.” “I hope he’s going to be found guilty and I hope he gets the death penalty.

Rosie O’Donnell made good on her promise to leave the country if Donald Trump returned to the White House. And apparently, she had a good reason for her personal health. Rosie O’Donnell has admitted she was “drinking too much” during Donald Trump’s first term in the White House - and during his recent presidential campaign, she vowed she would leave the country if he was elected again. The American talk show host revealed last month that she and her 12-year-old child Clay moved to Dublin, Ireland, to escape the Trump presidency. Since her grandparents were Irish, she is eligible to get citizenship, but said her application has yet to be approved.

A student organization at the state’s largest Catholic university has canceled an LGBTQ-themed bingo event after it received multiple hateful messages. Seton Hall Hillel, the student-run Jewish organization at Seton Hall University, had scheduled “Drag Bingo” for Tuesday at 6 p.m. A social media post on Monday announced its cancellation. “What was meant to be a joyful (belated) celebration of Purim — a holiday that embraces resilience, Jewish pride, inclusivity, and joy — instead became a target for hostility as our Hillel community received unacceptable, hateful messages in response," the statement read.

The new CEO of a New Jersey government investigative commission is resigning after it was reported she lives in another state and has another job. A story from Asbury Park Press says State Investigations Commission CEO Tiffany Williams Brewer only shows up to work once, maybe twice a week. Her primary address is in Maryland, and she works at Howard University three days a week. Williams Brewer was named acting CEO after former Chief Chadd Lackey died in a car accident last year. On Jan. 1, she ditched the acting title and her salary increased from $175,000 to $210,000 — more than Lackey was making.

This is a scary moment in America, and we need a leader who won’t exploit the chaos. Someone who can strike just the right tone – with humanity, and moral clarity – that trickles down to other leaders in both parties, reminding us of our values, our better selves. Joe Biden rose to the occasion. He expressed sincere empathy for Donald Trump and other victims of Saturday’s horrific attack, including a father killed while protecting his family from bullets. He called on all Americans to “lower the temperature in our politics,” and to reject violence in any form. He did his part, dialed it down, .

A Mercer County man who was in the U.S. Marine Corps until last week has been charged with making threatening statements about killing white people in a shooting rampage, federal authorities announced Monday. Joshua Cobb, 23, of Hamilton, mentioned two possible attack locations, a Jersey Strong gym and an Aldi grocery store in Robbinsville, and said he had access to guns and the will to kill a lot of people, authorities allege. Cobb also fantasized about the adrenaline rush and high he’d feel during such a shooting. “I’d probably OD on my own adrenaline after the 10th body goes down,” he allegedly wrote on social media in March of last year.

The sitting president of the Paterson City Council, already under indictment in a 2020 election fraud probe, faces new charges after state authorities say they uncovered evidence that he “personally collected ballots” in violation of New Jersey election law and tampered with witnesses in the case. The fresh accusations against Alex Mendez provide new details in an long-looming vote-by-mail fraud probe that drew national attention after former President Donald Trump invoked the case in his attacks on the legitimacy of the 2020 presidential race.

The pieces of this puzzle are starting to come together, and what emerges is a picture that makes perfect sense when viewed through the lens of raw self-interest. Hunter Biden, a man who has spent decades leveraging his father's position for personal gain, may have personally engineered his own presidential pardon. Why do I think this may have been the case? Well, Biden’s former chief of staff, Jeff Zients, revealed during his House Oversight Committee testimony this week that Hunter Biden wasn't just sitting on the sidelines during those crucial final weeks of his father's presidency—he was actively participating in pardon discussions, attending multiple meetings with White House aides.

The city of Chicago has a crime problem. Everyone knows it, including Chicago's mayor, Brandon Johnson, and Illinois Governor JB Pritzker. Pritzker himself said crime is just a part of big city life, just after a bloody Labor Day weekend where 54 people were shot and seven were killed. Mayor Johnson took a more theological approach, saying jailing criminals is "racist, unholy and doesn’t lower violent crime rates." That was on August 25, a week before all the mayhem in Chicago. We're now halfway through September, and Mayor Johnson continues to object to putting criminals in prison. (X) As one X user said, "Imagine saying that to the families

California Governor Gavin Newsom sparked an uproar on Saturday after his team posted a cryptic message to Department of Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem. As TGP readers know, Newsom has made himself the leader of the resistance against the Trump Administration, particularly on the issue of illegal immigration. This feud has been heightened ever since Trump sent ICE agents to LA to round up illegals earlier this year. Perhaps with this in mind, Newsom’s press team posted a tweet that many read as a threat on Noem’s life. It was certainly vague enough to be interpreted that way. The post reads, “Kristi Noem is going to have a bad day today.

Senate Democrats this week said they’d let the Republican short-term spending bill pass, and so avoid a government shutdown as of Oct. 1, for the low, low price of . . . $1.5 trillion. Yep, they demand that much added spending, which means $1.5 trillion in new federal debt over the next decade. To add a single month of uninterupted federal operations, the GOP must agree to: 1) permanently extend Biden-era ObamaCare subsidies that now sunset Dec. 31, and 2) gut the health savings just passed in the One Big Beautiful Bill Act, and 3) unfreeze $5 billion in foreign aid that President Donald Trump recently stopped while Congress was on (yet another) vacation.

As video of the smear circulated Tuesday among the overwhelming majority of Americans who never watch the show, public fury mounted and complaints started pouring into local affiliates.
