Indian Politicians Really, Really Upset
Over Trump’s $100,000 Fee On H-1B Visas

Indian government officials expressed full-blown outrage over a Trump administration proclamation that dramatically hikes the fee for securing H-1B visas. President Donald Trump signed an executive order Friday, slapping a $100,000 fee on new H-1B visas, making it incredibly difficult for U.S.-based employers to favor foreign nationals over American workers. The Indian government, which benefits from the H-1B visa program more than any other country, quickly denounced the move and called for the Trump administration to address its concerns. “The executive orders of President of America had come as a shocker to all,” Revanth Reddy, the chief minister of the Indian state of Telangana, said

The tariff penalty for buying Putin's oil has nothing to do with the new H1B visa fee of $100,000. The latter is intended to protect American jobs from companies hiring cheap foreign labor. India receives something north of $30 Billion each year inn remittances from its citizens working here in the USA. THAT is why this complaint was voiced. Checked into a Patel hotel lately?

H1B was meant to bring in Skilled labor. Over the years degenerated into cheap labor. The remittances they sent home spawned a whole ecosystem in particular spots like Hyderabad. Local politicians are responding to local concerns. PM Modi openly thanked TrumpSaying that he was trying to wean Indian companies off of easy US money . Now Trump has achieved that with the stroke of a pen.

Should be $250K. That would ensure we actually bring in the absolute smartest people, not just run of the mill folks to displace American workers. Amazes me how other countries think we owe their citizens anything. What are the doing for us other than flooding discount stores with items made under unbelievable conditions. The H-1B law was supposed to only allow in highly skilled people like opera singers, actors, ball players, semiconductor silicon level researchers. All people who would normally get paid more than half million/yr. So a tax/fee of 100k would be no big deal. But to add 100k to the cost of the 2 year associate degree Indian programmer that is only getting paid 30k$ would make the whole scheme not worthwhile.

I wish the Australian government would do that for both India and China. Here in Sydney nowadays you’re either in Mumbai or Shanghai depending on which suburb you’re driving through. Service stations only have Indians working there and the small shopping centre in my suburb that I grew up in only has Chinese working in them. All of their signage is only in Chinese and most of my neighbours don’t speak English.

Donald Trump’s future presidential library will be housed in downtown Miami at a location selected, in part, because of its proximity to the Freedom Tower, a landmark that played a significant role in helping Cuban refugees migrating to Florida. Trump’s team has for months been eyeing Florida, where the president is a resident, as the location for the library, which they also hope can be part of a larger development that will include an adjacent hotel. It would be the first presidential library to also be home to a hotel development.

Senate Judiciary Chairman Chuck Grassley on Tuesday sent a letter to Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem, calling on her to stop approving work authorization for foreign student visa holders, citing a recent study that found American STEM graduates have a high unemployment rate. The senator was citing a Federal Reserve report that found “the unemployment rate of males ages 22 to 27 is roughly the same, whether or not they hold a degree," and that Americans who recently obtained a degree in science, technology, engineering, or mathematics (STEM) have a higher unemployment rate than the general public. "Competition from foreign graduates is contributing to rising unemployment rates among college-educated Americans,"

Roy Cooper, the leading Democrat for North Carolina's open Senate seat in 2026, says one of his major "accomplishments" as the state's governor was the creation of a "racial equity" task force that pushed to eliminate cash bail for certain crimes. That policy led to the release of career criminal Decarlos Brown not long before he senselessly murdered Ukrainian refugee Iryna Zarutska on a Charlotte subway train. A Cooper campaign website highlights his creation of the Governor's Task Force for Racial Equity in Criminal Justice in June 2020 as one of his major "accomplishments" during his service as North Carolina's governor from 2017 to 2025. Law enforcement authorities quickly recaptured two illegal aliens who escaped from Border Patrol custody after allegedly choking a female agent. Officials say the attack happened while the two Mexican nationals were being transported to a detention facility. U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) officers initially arrested the two during a multi-agency enforcement operation in the greater Houston area. The short-lived escape began when 29-year-old Juan Carmen Padron-Mendez and 23-year-old Juan Carlos Padron-Barron, both illegal aliens from Mexico, were being transported to the Montgomery Processing Center on Monday.

I beg your pardon? Let's recap, shall we? Fourteen months ago, Donald Trump got shot and Corey Comperatore got killed by an assassin in Butler County, PA. A few weeks later, another assassin got captured on Trump's Florida golf course. Just this week, people have fired shots over political issues more than once, and oh by the way, the event yesterday memorialized someone who'd been assassinated for his politics. With all of that as background, plus the fact that both the President and Vice President would be participating in the event, the Washington Post cast a skeptical eye on the expense ahead of the event:

One of the few protesters rallying against the thousands of attendees at Charlie Kirk’s funeral is a practicing Muslim and self-proclaimed transgender anarchist with an Antifa membership. Sumayyah Dawud, an apparent professional protester known for holding solo demonstrations across Arizona, showed up bright and early at Kirk’s Sunday memorial and was captured waving a Palestinian flag with the Black Lives Matter logo. Dawud and a handful of other protesters outside Kirk’s funeral brandished a confusing array of signage, including some in support of Palestine, others demonizing President Trump, and one dubbing the small encampment the “Satanic Society.”

Jimmy Kimmel’s suspension was his own fault. The ABC late night host’s mean-spirited commentary disguised as comedy drove conservatives away. I am not opposed to using the death penalty for specific heinous crimes. Certainly, it was warranted for Timothy McVeigh, and Charlie Kirk’s killing was indeed heinous. However, the alleged assassin is Tyler Robinson and that gives me pause, because there are thousands of Tylers out there ready to make him a martyr. This hate-filled, deluded, brainwashed community has been groomed deliberately by a Machiavellian academia since the 1960s. There was a time when public education institutions were staffed with unbiased professors and educated their students with genuine facts and encouraged independent thought. That was back then.

President Trump addressed the United Nations today and roasted the world’s elites right to their faces. Our own Katie Pavlich is traveling with the president, noting that, unlike his first presidency, these leaders aren’t laughing anymore. Trump means business, and he doesn’t bluff. Yet, there might have been acts of sabotage, something that White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt said must be investigated. These aren’t unfounded accusations; some UN staffers were joking about screwing around with the escalators, which stopped working as soon as the president and First Lady Melania Trump hopped on them. The microphones were also not functioning correctly, and the teleprompter was malfunctioning.
