Tens of thousands of people packed into the State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona, on Sunday to honor the life of Charlie Kirk, with local outlets reporting that the crowd size could “exceed” those of NFL football games.
Worship music began as Kirk’s fans, friends, and family poured into the venue at 9:00 a.m. local time, after many people even camped outside Saturday night to secure their places in line: Headliners of the event include President Donald Trump, Vice President JD Vance, Secretary of State Marco Rubio, War Secretary Pete Hegseth, and Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy, Jr., AZCentral reported.

Democrats have surely heard the sage advice that when you’re in a hole, drop the shovel and walk away.
But they aren’t listening, and are still digging themselves in deeper and further out of favor.
With the party out of power and wildly unpopular, last week demonstrated that many leading Dems are not just clueless — they’re also heartless.

The pols staged a sit-down in the 10th-floor hallway of a federal detention facility for illegal immigrants arrested by ICE officials.
The area is closed to the public, but the officials demanded they be allowed to inspect the holding cells.

1996 was the “Year of Welfare Reform,” including for migrants.
The historic Personal Responsibility and Work Opportunity Reconciliation Act was designed to “strengthen the principle that immigrants come to America to work, not to collect welfare benefits.” PRWORA cut off illegal aliens from most federal public benefits.
It instituted a five-year ineligibility period for lawful permanent residents (LPRs) for most federal welfare programs, “to send a clear signal that immigrants are expected to … not become dependent on public welfare benefits.”
The Illegal Immigration Reform and Immigrant Responsibility Act, enacted later in 1996, required that U.S. citizens and LPRs sponsoring relatives for green cards sign legally binding affidavits of support,

There’s a lot of hate and vitriol flying around the internet these days, which has only increased since the tragic, senseless assassination of Charlie Kirk. Leftist media pundits have openly pondered whether Kirk deserved his awful fate, while vicious Democrat politicians like Reps. Ilhan Omar (MN) and Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (NY) are vilifying the man even before his memorial has taken place.
It’s been an ugly thing to watch.
Here’s a different take, however, delivered by legendary singer, actor, and showman Pat Boone, a man who has spent many years in the spotlight (he’s now 91 years young).

She finally answered a question, and it was a nightmare. We can see why Democratic Virginia gubernatorial candidate Abigail Spanberger’s people have been trying to keep her away from the media. If this were a dangling of one’s foot into that pool, they’re likely going to whisk her away, because this was a hefty helping of word salad over a simple question: Do you support men in women’s bathrooms? The question was pitched to her by WJLA’s Nick Minock.
Here's how she responded: [video]

A Virginia high school violated the free speech rights of students when it named its school after Confederate Army General Stonewall Jackson, a federal judge ruled recently.
The Virginia NAACP sued Shenandoah County’s school board over its decision in 2024 to bring back the name “Stonewall Jackson” for its high school. In 2020, the school board changed the name to “Mountain View.”

I’m not a fan of Jimmy Kimmel; I prefer comedy to fat, angry political lectures. I’m old-fashioned that way. But I don’t think there is a story where more elements of it have been wrong or lied about – depending on whether the person doing it is a moron or evil – than the one about “Kimmel Being Canceled By Trump!” It’s disgusting, it’s stupid and it is a fraud, which is why Democrats have embraced it, as the truth does them no good.
The blackface aficionado has not been “fired” at all; he’s suspended. You’d think people who make their living with words would understand what they mean.

White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt has confirmed that the Trump administration is sending two full planes of White House staff to Arizona for the memorial service of conservative activist Charlie Kirk. President Donald Trump, Vice President JD Vance, Speaker of the House Mike Johnson, and several Cabinet secretaries are scheduled to attend and speak at the service.
“We’re actually taking two planes full of White House staff,” Leavitt said. “That just speaks to how many people he touched at the highest levels of our government.” [Tweet, video]

Does California Governor Gavin Newsom want his state to remain a part of our federal union?
Newsom does not like our president. The fact that Donald Trump is a member of the opposing party is immaterial to the governor's critique of the United States federal government. Newsom doesn't like to be told how to run his far-left-wing, kooky, dystopian nightmare of a state. In fact, Newsom rejects any effort Washington makes to exert control over federal policy in California.
It's not just immigration enforcement. Newsom has been resisting federal rules on auto emissions, Clean Air Act waivers, and the removal of EV mandates.

Rep. Bennie Thompson sees AOC’s charge and raises it: “The fact is,” he said in an official statement, “Charlie Kirk’s rhetoric was divisive, disparaging, and too often rooted in grievance. The beliefs he evangelized normalized fringe views on race, sex, and immigration. Unfortunately, his rhetoric resurrected dangerous prejudices of a dark past.” Gosh. Here’s a question, Congressman. What sort of grievance would someone have to entertain in order to be moved to describe someone who simply sought to engage young people in conversation as “divisive” and “disparaging?” Follow-up question: Did Charlie Kirk try to “normalize” fringe ideas about “race, sex, and immigration?”

A witness heard the mass shooter at a New Hampshire country club scream, “Free Palestine!”
The shooter murdered 59-year-old Robert Steven DeCesare Saturday evening at Sky Meadow Country Club and injured at least two others. Several additional people were reportedly injured in the incident from non-bullet causes.
Local ABC affiliate WMUR reported that the New Hampshire Attorney General’s office said police had arrested suspect 23-year-old Hunter Nadeau. DeCesare was eating dinner with his wife and daughter at the time the shooter began firing. His mother, Evie O’Rourke, said DeCesare bravely jumped up to protect his family and was killed while doing so.

Some Democrats claim to want “unity” in the wake of the far-left political violence they fomented, but it is hard to believe they want anything other than to be absolved of responsibility when 118 of them in the House refuse to officially condemn the assassination of Charlie Kirk.
The House of Representatives passed House Resolution 719, condemning Kirk’s assassination and “Honoring the life and legacy of Charles ‘Charlie’ James Kirk,” on Friday 310-58. While 95 Democrats voted in favor of the resolution, more than half of the Democrats in the House either voted against it or decided not to support it by voting “present” or not voting at all.

The assassin who took Charlie Kirk’s life on Sept. 10 may have thought he could kill Kirk’s ideas with the same bullet that he used to steal the lifeblood from the conservative icon, but he was wrong.
The outpouring not just of grief but of fellowship that followed the assassination has shown that people who are vessels for an ideal continue to pour forth inspiration even when the vessel is shattered.
No one under the age of 60 can properly remember the events of 1968, but I was 12 years old that spring when two other icons were brought down by assassins’ bullets, and I vividly recall the pain

Barack Obama is such a soulless fraud. He’s spent the last week trying to downplay the significance of Charlie Kirk’s assassination. First, he pretended that the motive behind Charlie’s murder was impossible to ascertain. Then he blamed President Trump for welcoming “extremism” into the White House. Finally, he insinuated that Charlie was a racist and at least partially responsible for his own death. As always, America’s foremost “divider in chief” excels at rubbing salt in gaping wounds.
The Soros network of NGOs must have recently sent out marching orders instructing Democrats to speak favorably of Obama’s presidency because every prominent Donkey Party politician has tried to rewrite Obama’s divisive reign

Through clever innuendo and seemingly noncommittal suggestion, Barack Obama has spent two decades subtly dividing America socially, racially, and politically.
Obama is known for making his points with surgical precision. No one can deny that, armed with a sharpened teleprompter, an emotionally detached Barack Obama appears as a methodical, unemotional speaker skilled at disguising deep-seated hostility as civility.
The former president’s detached eloquence bears resemblance to that of the fictional character, serial killer and cannibal Hannibal Lecter.
Hannibal had a complex psyche that could be hidden behind a refined manner of expressing rage, with his wrath concealed behind a façade of feigned grace and collegiality; that is precisely what Barack Obama does.

A number of show business, news media, and political personages have proclaimed vile comments, cheering the murder of Christian conservative Charlie Kirk.
So, too, have entertainment-industry has-beens who grab for modern relevance. None will be named by this writer, who doesn’t wish to aid miserable lost souls’ quests.
I believe there are at least two reasons some celebrities acquit themselves so despicably.
First, unfortunately, a hatred market exists. Just as there are garbage-hearted people with wallets, there breathe conscienceless graspers with big eyes. Whether someone is selling a candidacy, a movie ticket, a TV program, a recording, or any other commodity, market cultivation is surely a consideration.

On the internet the big story seems to be the indefinite suspension of Jimmy Kimmel by ABC. I confess to being somewhat at a disadvantage. The last time I looked at network television my set had four dials: on/off, vertical, and horizontal, volume, and channel. In this I’m not alone. Kimmel’s show had fewer viewers than a number of online podcasters, sponsors were fleeing, and local stations represented by affiliates Nexstar and Sinclair wanted out. The great Iowahawk nailed the flight from network television:
“Anyway, I see people debating who should replace Kimmel in the coveted late night talk chair, and it's like debating who should move into the empty

Tommy Robinson has been a deeply divisive figure in British politics since the rise of the English Defense League in the early 2010s. His detractors have labeled him a “white supremacist” and an “Islamophobe,” while his supporters have hailed him as the only person speaking truth to power over mass migration and radical Islam.
This division has, naturally, stretched into the British Jewish community. Yet as the crisis of security for the British Jewish community has worsened, in particular since October 7, when antisemitism exploded across the UK, more and more British Jews have warmed to the formerly untouchable Tommy Robinson.

President Donald Trump’slatest plan to overhaul the American immigration system has left some immigrant workers confused, forcing the White House on Saturday to scramble to clarify that a new $100,000 fee on visas for skilled tech workers only applies to new applicants and not to current visa holders.
The president on Friday, with Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick by his side, signed a proclamation that will require the new fee for what are known as H-1B visas — meant for high-skilled jobs that tech companies find hard to fill.

Just when U.S. Steel thought the ink had dried on its new future with Japan’s Nippon Steel, the company ran into a political reality check: President Donald Trump’s administration and its new “golden share” authority. The golden share—essentially a veto power over certain corporate moves—was a condition for White House approval of Nippon Steel’s $14.1 billion acquisition of U.S. Steel in June. The president used this power to halt a planned plant shutdown in Granite City, Ill. Two weeks ago, U.S. Steel notified the Granite City plant and its 800 workers that operations would cease in November. The company planned to pay the employees, despite closing steel production.
