Park officials were ordered to focus on visitor services. There were few, if any problems anywhere. Liberals still complain that the climate change experts (their words) are out of a job.

Get rid of the eco propagandists and the climate change fraudsters and leave the actual Rangers and sensible people and the parks will be fine. A little known fact is that the National Parks are treated as a profit center. Most of the money earned from entry fees goes to the Treasury, NOT to supporting park operations. If the park fee money was directed all towards the parks, there would be plenty of money to run them and maintain them. But, Congress bleeds off the Park fees for their pet DC projects.

I am taxed for these parks whether I visit them or not. So are you. They should not be charging extra money to actually go in.

I read the artcle. It raised the concerns about the budget cuts, biut then shot them down as they reported that all was well and the park operations had gone well. I thought it was surprisingly fair. As for the "environmentalists", think about how long our wonderful parks existed before anyone even knew that word.

Not so, #2. The National Parks MORE THAN fund themselves with fees, with the majority of the fees going back to the Treasury. You have it backwards. Money doesn't flow from Treasury to the parks, but in the opposite direction. Park fee income is skimmed off to send to DC.

Democratic U.S. Representative Ilhan Omar of Minnesota was confronted on Friday about whether she regrets the timing of her comments immediately following the death of conservative activist Charlie Kirk. Omar said in an interview on CNN, "It's one thing to care about his life because obviously so many people loved him, including his children and wife. But I am not going to sit here and be judged for not wanting to honor any legacy this man has left behind. That should be in the dustbin of history, and we should hopefully move on and forget the hate that he spewed

Some argued that Johnson's words were taken out of context. Liberal Supreme Court Justice Sonia Sotomayor on Tuesday warned that the poor quality of civics education means Americans may not know the difference between a president and a king. Sotomayor bemoaned the lack of education about such issues as the rule of law, saying not enough people have a basic understanding of the power of the president and the limits imposed upon that authority by the Constitution. "Do we understand what the difference is between a king and a president?" she said at a civics conference held at New York Law School in Manhattan. "And I think if people understood

France and Saudi Arabia hope to use this year’s gathering of world leaders at the United Nations General Assembly and the increasingly horrific war in the Gaza Strip to inject new urgency into the quest for a two-state solution to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. Those efforts include a new road map for eventual Palestinian statehood in territories Israel seized in the 1967 Mideast war, and moves by several Western countries to join a global majority in recognizing such a state before it has been established. Britain, Canada and Australia formally recognized a Palestinian state on Sunday, joining nearly 150 countries that have already done so,
