WASHINGTON – Read the opinions for yourself. That’s the message Supreme Court Justice Sonia Sotomayor had Sept. 10 for viewers of the “Late Show with Stephen Colbert” the day after her blistering response to her conservative colleagues’ latest ruling siding with the Trump administration. The majority said the administration can for now resume the indiscriminate immigration-related stops in southern California that sparked protests and charges of racial profiling. In her dissent for the court’s three liberals, Sotomayor said the majority’s decision “is yet another grave misuse of our emergency docket.” “We should not have to live in a country where

Not just "wise Latina," but "wise Latina woman" (sic) which is an ignorant tautology from an ignorant Democrat DEI appointee. Lean on her (and KBJ) hard. Maybe she'll quit. They don't belong in any legal setting.

So this low IQ DEI hire runs to failed, unpopular and fired Colbert to cry that her imaginary version of the law is being overruled by the actual constitution.
Good!

"...we should not have to live in a country". Thats the core of it. Isn't it. The subjects of the scrutiny are not supposed to live here.

The skulls full of mush say it's profiling, and so what if it is. There are 20,000,000 illegals in the U.S., I read somewhere, and most are Hispanic. If it walks like a duck, etc., etc. What are you supposed to do? You go where the "money" is.

If you are in this country legally you will not be arrested by ICE whether you speak English or not. If you aren’t, you will be deported. Is Sotomayor suggesting that ICE should detain the 70 year old Granny shopping at Home Depot and stay away from the South Americans in the parking lot waiting for day labor jobs? Her argument isn’t rational and does not represent reality.

Her idea that the ethnicity of a person must be ignored was the reason that police descriptions of wanted criminals suddenly no longer contained a description beyond "man," as in, "New York City man... Nashville man... Charlotte man," etc. Same with describing roving gangs of feral blacks rampaging in the streets as "youths." At this point, everybody pretty well knows "the code." When a white man is the accused, his ethnicity is always prominently featured, so if the race is not mentioned, you know it regardless.

Any air of impartiality from Justices Sotomayer and Jackkson have been utterly destroyed by their recent speeches and television appearances. Their dispariging remarks about their fellow justices and legal opinions reveal their biased natures. Ignore the law and Constitution but support social justice, diversity, equity, and inclusion at all costs, including blatant discrimination and ignoring laws. Sotomayer and Jackson should not be Supreme Court Justices (or any other type of Judge).
