President Donald Trump is still facing a $83.3 million payment to writer E. Jean Carroll after a federal appeals court rejected his challenge of a defamation verdict against him Monday.
The ruling from the 2nd U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals upholds a lower court decision finding that Trump did, in fact, defame Carroll. Trump's lawyers argued his comments about Carroll were protected by presidential immunity and that the verdict in the case was unjust. The three-judge panel rejected both of those claims.
"We conclude that Trump has failed to identify any grounds that would warrant reconsidering our prior holding on presidential immunity. We also conclude that the district court did not err

We knew this was coming. It's going up the chain. Lawfare in action.
"The U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit was established in 1891. The Court is located in New York City and exercises appellate jurisdiction over courts in six districts within the states of Connecticut, New York, and Vermont: District of Connecticut."
What would expect from these America haters?

She is 81. Two brief marriages long ago ended in divorce, one to a white man, one to a hlack whom she said strangled her. Understandable. She once thnked God hat she did not have children. OK. She dresses well but is the antithesis of sexy. Hatcheht face. Horrible teeth. She has only fantasies. And her vibrator.

Well, not only did he not defame her, he actually famed her. This is the only recognition this woman will ever have of her existence.
Also, #5, speaking of bad jokes about "that kind of woman", the one that I think fits her perfectly is: "she's the kind of woman that smokes DURING sex." (Crude, I know,,,but so accurate.)

Absolutely criminal. There is ZERO PROOF that Trump was ever within a MILE of this woman, and ZERO proof that her imaginary "rape fantasy" ever happened anywhere except in her bizarre mental illness.

Carroll accuses Trump of rape, Trump calls Carroll a hate filled liar, and she sues for defamation. Where is the defamation? Where are the damages? How does the justice system find in her favor? It's lawfare. It's corruption. An appeals court actually upholds all this garbage. This is wrong on so many levels. That this could happen and go so far shows how sick our government has become.

I'm hearing talk among the webcasts that the Supreme Court may opt not to hear an appeal, that they've been reliable with the political wrongs but this is a personal problem.

I believe the issue before SCOTUS will be presidential immunity.

This action was taken by a three judge panel including two nominated by Joe Biden and one nominated by Barack Obama. That, unfortunately, is not irrelevant.

He said vs she said. No witnesses.
She is a sexual gold digger, but I am afraid Trump's mouth got the better of him in this one.
The Supremes may not touch this one, unless they buy the presidential immunity argument.
We shall see.

Until this is pursued in a criminal case, nothing E. Jean Carroll says is relevant. In a criminal case, she would need to remember the date. . .
By the way, this is a failure of our justice system. A person is innocent until proven guilty and a civil trial is not where guilt should be determined. A person is due a fair trial.
I read yesterday the same article posted here on Lucianne that George Conway and Reid Hoffmann are part of this. Does not surprise me at all. . .

All Democrat Judges, two appointed by Biden and one appointed by Obama. Go figure, this will be successfully appealed at the Supreme Court merely on the grounds of Trump’s civil rights denied. This court was aloof to those “minor details.” Judges who miss these glaring inconsistencies should be fast tracked OFF the bench with rocket assistance.

What really gets me is that these black-robed Judiciarchs hate Trump (and all conservatives) so much that it has blinded them to the hatred they now receive from millions of good citizens that they are causing to themselves as individuals, and to their profession in general.
Much like the medical profession after their behavior over Covid, no one sane is ever going to trust them again. And since no one honest can trust the Judicial system any more, the entire 'social contract' is null and void and chaos will reign. All because the Left uses the courts and law enforcement agencies to enforce their political agenda rather than protect society from actual evil and corrupt people.....
....Like E. Jean Carrol

Continued daily prayers for our Beloved President Trump and his beautiful Family.
Our dear Lord of Heaven has protected him all these years and will continue, as his Bible from his great Aunts now in the Oval Office prayed so long ago. Always His promise from Scripture, Joshua 1,
‘Be strong and courageous, I will never leave you nor forsake you.’

My guess is that SCOTUS will pass on this for political reasons. They should take it because of the serious errors at trial and the underlying legislation that allowed E. Jean Looneybin and her cohorts to bring these charges ... remember NY passed a law that gave plantiffs a special window to sue for "damages" occured outside of the statute of limitations. Basically, it was a "bill of attainer" (unconstitutional) directed at Trump. If my old, feeble memory still serves me, I think I remember the Judge allowed Ms. Looneybin to introduce all sorts of questionable evidence and flimsy "proof," while prohibiting the Trump defense team to provide a serious defense to the charges.
And the second trial was even a bigger farce. Since when has objecting to a jury verdict been considered as "defamation?"
The message is, DO NOT GO TO NEW YORK. DO NOT DO BUSINESS IN OR WITH NEW YORK. Find ways to separate your connection with anything involving that state where the rule of law is based on who is favored and who is selected to be oppressed.
