Bodies are piling up on the streets of Chicago over Labor Day weekend – with 54 shot, including seven killed, as President Trump and Illinois Gov. Pritzker spar over sending the National Guard into the Windy City. At least 32 separate shootings occurred in Chicago between Friday evening and noon on Monday, according to a review of police incident reports by ABC News. Just hours after Trump posted a message on Truth Social on Saturday criticizing Pritzker’s handling of crime in the city

Comments:

There are no violent criminals - - inside the walls of the Pritzker Estate. Until there are - - Fat Boy will not call President Trump.

Dems truly suffer from mental illness. Nothing else can explain trying to defend murder and uncontrolled violence. How can anyone think this is a winning strategy? Sure, it appeals to the hard Left who are completely unbalanced. But I would guess that even a majority of dems think it would be good not to be killing people.

There is no way to fix this, could send in the national guard, make mass arrests, but as soon as they are gone, and the extra policing stops, it is going to start all over again.

If people had just truthfully spoken out about this problem, and more black leaders had stood up and shamed and criticized the senseless, ongoing tragic violence among young blacks, these murders would have been at least diminished. A few spoke out. Smart decent blacks who could see the horrible crime statistics and lost lives. Political correctness, virtue signalling and yelling about oppressive whitey doesn't help and have made it worse like Al Sharpton and his cohorts who make a living by blaming others. Black lives don't really matter to the left. They just use this sad situation for their own political ends.

Shootings are so common that they don't bother giving the names of any of the people involved, just give a number. Contrast this with the national media hullaballoo if a WHITE person shoots or kills a BLACK Thug. THEN it's 'Game On'! Too many examples of media frenzy for me to even begin to list the names.

As the weather gets cooler and winter comes to Chicago, the shooting and killing will decrease (like it does every year). Mayor Johnson and Governor Pritzker will claim they addressed the issue without Trump and his military takeover. They will be praised by the liberal media for their brilliance. Then when Spring comes and the weather warms up, the shooting free for all will start again like it does every other year.

Something I rarely if ever see mentioned in all of this is cost to the taxpayers. So if 30-50 are shot every weekend and say 25-45 survive that means that many likely uninsured people in the hospital for gun shot wounds be paid for by the taxpayer. We are talking hundreds of millions in medical costs
