Black Rock has finally come for our utilities

BlackRock has finally come for our utilities.[snip] And, it’s not just BlackRock. Another big player on Wall Street, Blackstone, is also in on the game, which recently announced its plans to acquire “a major electric utility in Texas and New Mexico” if permitted to do so. So why are these global investment firms turning their attention to our energy suppliers? Well, because the AI demand is set to drastically drive up energy consumption, and in a world of wind turbines and solar panels, that energy is going to be expensive.

Allowing utilities to be owned by HUGE international players cannot be permitted. Their goals are, of course, only exorbitant profits at the public's expense. They will beholden only to those interests without even ensuring power security except to the highest bidder.

Larry Fink, CEO Blackrock, and now the co-chair of the WEF, are all evil. Fink replaces Schwab, one monster for a worse monster. Any company that attends the WEF should be boycotted.

Our utility rates increased noticeably about 4 years ago. Are they going to gouge us more? They introduced 'dynamic pricing' and charge a lot more during peak usage hours.

Blackrock seems well-known, but for those not living where Blackstone is active, Blackstone is one of several corporations buying up single-family residential housing across the housing and turning them into permanent rental properties. Thus as players in the housing market, their activities tend to reduce inventories for sale and thus drive up the cost of housing. Sellers may find this kind of distortion pleasing, but buyers find it infuriating.

I saw where Blackrock was going several years ago and sold my stock. My broker friend said he had several clients who had done the same. Unfortunately, our little protest sales wouldn't have made the slightest difference. Only a mass selloff would get their attention. They virtue signal about their ongoing DEI and woke stance yet would sell their daughters into white slavery to make a buck.

A recent incident in Brussels has caused a stir after an illegal immigrant reportedly used the eternal flame at the tomb of the unknown soldier to fry eggs. This controversial act has sparked heated discussions about the respect of national symbols and the actions of immigrants in Europe. This follows a similar event last month in France, where an immigrant was arrested for using the eternal flame to light a cigarette. The repeated misuse of these significant national monuments has led to public outrage and raised questions about the boundaries of tolerance in European societies.

Two Republican losses in state senate special elections this year, first in Pennsylvania during March and then in Iowa this August, have sent tremors through conservative circles. Both seats were previously held by Republicans, both were in areas that strongly supported Donald Trump, and both slipped away despite the Democrat party enduring its worst period of public standing in decades. These results are not signals of a collapsing Republican coalition, but they are warnings against complacency.[snip] They won because their voters were more motivated to turn out in lower-profile contests.

But Saturday night, in New Hampshire, after aiding a female victim of a domestic assault who flagged down Mr. Giuliani's auto, Mayor Giuliani was seriously injured in what authorities are calling a "freak accident."

It’s too early, but as of now, it looks like Donalds could be in a duel with Casey DeSantis, the current First Lady of Florida, though she hasn’t officially announced yet. We’ll get to that later.

In early September, a jury trial will begin in North Texas for a 32-year-old activist named Raunaq Alam. He is accused of spray-painting “F*** Israel” on the wall of a non-denominational church in Euless, a small city roughly 20 minutes from Fort Worth. But it’s not the graffiti accusation that’s most troubling for Alam and his attorney. Using a hate-crimes statute, Tarrant county has enhanced its criminal mischief charges against Alam so he now faces 10 years in prison.
