NEW YORK - A divided U.S. appeals court ruled on Friday that most of Donald Trump's tariffs are illegal, undercutting the Republican president's use of the levies as a key international economic policy tool. The court allowed the tariffs to remain in place through October 14 to give the Trump administration a chance to file an appeal with the U.S. Supreme Court. Trump has made tariffs a pillar of U.S. foreign policy in his second term, using them to exert political pressure and renegotiate trade deals with countries that export goods to the United States. The tariffs have given the Trump administration leverage to extract economic concessions

Was just listening to Mark Levin's reaction to this. This will rocket-docket to the Supreme Court, and Levin fully expects the SC to toss out the lower court's decision. Levin also notes that Congress has, for many decades, been deferring legislative branch authority to Congressionally-created Executive branch agencies and also given them such wide regulatory latitude that their "rules" are treated like law, even though Congress didn't pass them. So this court is really on shaky ground with its decision.

Democrats just cannot stand to see any successful move by Donald Trump. They do not care if their treachery is harmful to the United States. That is a proven fact.

Stop the insanity. Other Presidents enacted tariffs, and nobody batted an eye. It's politics 24x7x365. This is what happens when a government plays politics instead of governing.

This was not an issue with the appeals court until it became obvious that the tariffs were effective in boosting the American economy. Must not give Trump a win.

The “democratics” are at it again! They must stay up nites looking for ways to stop PRESIDENT Trump! John Adams, the second president , had tariffs for every product from every country that came into the USA. He was a Federalist and kept the government running by implementing tariffs. Which kept manufacturing and farming in this country. Tell the judge to go after John Adams. It’s only fair.

The constitution grants the power of tariffs to the Congress, not the President...BUT, congress's long ago officially delegated much of that power to the President themselves, there are multiple congressional acts and subsequent Supreme court cases that affirm that delegation, and set parameters for it's use. Trumps people cited multiple precedents on EVERY single Tariff move and motion, as they were being done, and produced the required "Investigations and Opinions" from the required agencies prior to implementation. Congress can "Claw back" sole control, legislatively(though they will not), but prior supreme court rulings already affirmed prior presidents usage in the same or similar ways, at least one recent supreme court case affirmed TRUMPS right to do so... Key in the kerfuffle is...."Permanent vs Temporary", Trumps actions are all Temporary, by design, just as the Laws/Rules consistently support and/or require. When under the pressure or threat of Trumps tariffs nations even the unequal playing field, balance their tariffs with ours, and remove unfair support for their industry's as well as roadblocks against ours...New lower rates are agreed to and implemented. Trump has better economists, statecraft players, and LAWYERS than all of those out to thwart him.

Maybe these Judges need to REALLY READ Article II of the Constitution. Then read Article III, Judicial Power, where NOTHING is said about Courts overturning Executive Actions!

The Widespread Demise of the Democrats

It has been fully recognized since the November election that the Democratic Party has been hobbled more than a three-legged gelding, but things refuse to improve for that lot. Throughout this year, the party has seen its prospects withering across the board, whether it is in internal operations, public approval, voting efforts, fundraising, or media outreach. And much like the condition of the national media industry, there is no desire exhibited by them to change what is not working. And this week it became even worse. It was announced that the Bill Gates Foundation was suspending its monetary involvement with one of the primary non-profits affiliated with the Democratic Party.

Would anyone be surprised if they were? After all, progressives have spent decades championing abortion at all phases of pregnancy right up to birth -- and sometimes immediately after. Over the last decade, they have taken up the Queer Movement's transgender campaign and demanded pediatric sex-change therapies that leave adolescents neutered for life. Their climate-change agenda emphasizes the need for population reversal and rails over the insult to Gaia that human procreation creates. They're not exactly kid-friendly, in other words. But don't just rely on instincts and political posturing on this question, because actual data shows that progressives practice what they preach. Financial Times analyst John Burn-Murdoch

A federal judge has blocked the Trump administration’s efforts to expand a fast-track deportation process, ruling that the broadened application of the sped-up process creates “a significant risk” that immigrants who may be entitled to stay in the U.S. will be hustled out of the country. In a decision issued Friday evening, U.S. District Judge Jia Cobb granted a request by an immigrant advocacy group to put a hold on a pair of policies the administration issued in January that made millions more immigrants eligible for expulsion from the U.S. under a process known as “expedited removal.”

In a lengthy post on X on Friday, Noem wrote that, "DHS is awarding $110 million to more than 600 faith-based organizations and nonprofits across the US. In the face of violent criminals and radical organizations intent on hurting American communities, the Trump Administration is helping houses of worship, schools, and community centers to harden their defenses against attacks and protect themselves."

California Gov. In a post on X, responding to White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt’s claim that “prayer works,”, Newsom said: “There children were literally praying as they got shot at,” implying that prayer does not work. Democrats have long attacked the idea of offering “thoughts and prayers” for the victims and their families in the wake of mass shootings, arguing that political action is needed, particularly gun control legislation.

The Low Voter Turnout Paradigm Now Favors

There used to be an axiom in politics that high voter turnout always favored the Democrats because it meant that more minorities and other demographic groups that favored Democrats showed up to vote. That's simply not true today. The realization that fewer people voting is better for Democrats upends 60 years of Democratic strategy about maximizing voter turnout of all demographic groups. Previously, the thinking was that increasing voter turnout for all groups was good for Democrats because even if GOTV efforts brought a few more Republicans to the polls, the massive numbers of Democratic voters would swamp any opponent.

The D.C. In that prior 2-1 decision, the appellate court held: The district court erred in granting that relief because the grantees lack a cause of action to press their claims. They may not bring

The black community’s disengagement from ordinary acts of civic responsibility is harming America as a whole, but mostly, it’s harming blacks. To save their communities, blacks need to reengage with what was once normative polite conduct across American society. To appreciate this point, consider the tales told by abandoned shopping carts and litter. The lack of such betrays itself in far more malignant ways as well, and we’re seeing that across the country, particularly in videos: Spirit Airlines airport counters. Six Flags parks.
