The black community’s disengagement from ordinary acts of civic responsibility is harming America as a whole, but mostly, it’s harming blacks. To save their communities, blacks need to reengage with what was once normative polite conduct across American society. To appreciate this point, consider the tales told by abandoned shopping carts and litter. A 42-year-old man has been charged with murder in connection with the shooting of an 11-year-old during a doorbell prank over the weekend, according to the Houston Police Department.[snip]
On Tuesday, HPD said Gonzalo Leon Jr. had been taken into custody. He is accused of fatally shooting 11-year-old Julian Guzman on Saturday night.
Police said the incident happened at about 10:55 p.m. in the 9700 block of Racine Street in east Houston. Officers said the young child was ringing doorbells of homes in the area and running away. A witness said Julian was running from a home, after ringing the doorbell, just before he was shot.

An American has been stabbed by a Syrian national in Germany after allegedly stepping in to help two female passengers being harassed on a tram, according to reports.
The young man was attacked at around 12:25 a.m. on Sunday after intervening when “two men from a group harassed female passengers” on the tram in the eastern German city of Dresden, Saxony police said in a statement.
