President Trump has threatened to send National Guard troops into more American cities after deploying soldiers in Washington, D.C., and Los Angeles this year He’s highlighted Baltimore and Chicago as cities in particular need of help fighting crime, though Monday he appeared to back off his threat to unilaterally deploy the National Guard into cities uninvited.
Baltimore has the third-highest rate of violent crime, while Chicago ranks 29th among cities with at least 500,000 residents, according to the latest FBI data.
Trump’s focus on cities in blue states — those led by Democratic governors — with Black mayors has drawn criticism from Democrats,

Every one of these cities has a democrat mayor, one is unaffiliated. This article is deceiving because the author tries to paint red states as "have problems too."

#2, did you expect anything else but left wing bias from The Hill?

People who don't work and don't have vehicles are drawn to a large city with public transportation and a system of welfare accommodation. So big cities will always vote for generous democrats that will be soft on their crime.

Baltimore has a black Mayor and of course black crime, but even worse Maryland has a black Governor and a Democrat majority legislature.

I see that the Peoples Republic of Denver is now in the top ten. Sad. Just glad that my wife and I don't live there anymore. But we worry about our kids and grandkids who at least live in the suburbs.

You'd think an article about high crime cities by The Hill would mention who the mayors were of each one of those cities (all of which except one Independent are dems). But they've got an agenda to push. By the way, cities they skipped naming the mayors like Kansas City, MO and Milwaukee and others have dem mayors. Where they could (like Kansas City) they made darn sure to mention the Republican governor.

Cities that didn't make the Top Ten probably lied about their crime statistics like the District did. Any place where they let woke and teen leniency take over is high crime.

So what do all those high crime cities have in common besides being run by Democrats? Could it be that the identified perpetrators of serious violent crimes committed in those cities are members of minority groups, one in particular, guess which one?

What’s interesting is who’s not on the list, specifically New Orleans. Landry our Republican governor came in and basically took over New Orleans government. He formed a new state police troop, troop NOLA and these guys don’t play and the locals know it. He put the state attorney general in the DA’s office and in the criminal courts to look over their shoulders. He provided the necessary social services and cleaned up he homeless encampments. What’s especially interesting in Orleans Parish proper he garnered 15% of the black vote which is a phenomenal number. In short he made the city a much more enjoyable place to live in a space of less then a year.

Poster #13, that is fantastic! I wish Governor Abbott would do the same with Houston, Dallas, Austin, etc.,... Somehow I don't think he will, but maybe when a diehard Conservative governor is elected it'll happen.

Gavin Newsom thought he was "owning the Republicans" yesterday by spotlighting "red state" crime in St. Louis. St. Louis has a Democrat mayor like all of the other high-crime cities.

A friend was a Memphis cop, about 35 years ago and he warned that "Memphis is just a mean town"., even back then. It hasn't gotten any nicer, clearly. And KC, MO is definitely a mean town. We live on the outskirts in Kansas suburbs, but fortunately can be armed and are. We very much avoid going down into the main part of KC, MO as much as possible, meaning we almost never go there, other than drive thru on the interstate.
And what do these hellholes have in common? Idiot Dem mayors and Dem city councils.

Just an FYI, all mayors and city councils in Texas are nonpartisan. It is true that the current Houston mayor, John Whitmire, served in the Texas Senate as a Democrat for many years.

DC is not a state, so the DC Guard can be activated there pretty easily. Each state has its own governor who has to invite Federally activated Title 10 Guard personnel. Would be nice if there was a governor who requested the assistance.

50% of the crimes are never reported --- because the police have never done anything about any of them. I hope Trump sends the national guard to Houston. As for Texas city leaders being nonpartisan, that is a ruse, like all Democrat hoaxes, hah-hah, every single one is a Democrat. More disgusting lies from the Democrats, and more feckless Rino's in Texas. Then, Texas has a House of Representatives where the Republicans are so nice that that they allow the Democrats to be co-chairs of the committees, even though there is a Republican majority. And Texas Republicans are so nonpartisan that they allow the Democrats to vote in their primaries, being an open primary state. The whole election thing is another hoax, as the people decide nothing.

The black mayors in dem cities are head overseers of the destruction of black people. Ditto for their city reps. This type used to be slaves not compensated with cash, but the modern day types are well paid. They're self-loathing, greedy, rotten, evil traitors just the same.
