FDA restricts access to COVID vaccines

The Food and Drug Administration on Wednesday restricted access to COVID-19 vaccines by ending their emergency authorization and refining eligibility standards to exclude most healthy adults and children. Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr., a skeptic of vaccine safety, said in a statement that new policies were rooted in “science, safety, and common sense.” Under the new rules, people over age 65 will remain eligible to get the vaccines, but younger adults and children will need to establish they have an underlying condition such as asthma or obesity that puts them at higher risk of serious illness.

So, it's Ok for over 65 to receive Covid mRNA vaccines? Sounds suspiciously like a medicare/social security reduction play.

I had covid in December of 2020. Irksome because the symptoms lasted a week but ... I have had MUCH worse flu. So I had the antibodies. In February or March of 2021 I started getting pestered by my city to get the 'clot shot.' I didn't know how bad it was then because in was, being 69, in the first group to be pushed to get it. I figgered that it was stupid and unnecessary but was told it was harmless so I got it. You know, being told I had to wait where I could be watched for 15 minutes after the shot should have told me something. As it turns out, I have no known side effects from the shot but knowing that is not universally true, that there are many bad side effects... and they are fatal for younger people... I am so glad that RFK Jr is taking this step. It should be more aggressive. Covid doesn't kill the young... with the exceptions being those whose health is already greatly compromised. I was reading the facts back in 2020 as they were being published. I think the whole MRNA crap should be banned. But this is progress.

I get asked often, by medical people, if I took the shot. Nope. In fact I haven't had any shot since I heard of Covid. Sad to say I don't trust most medical care anymore.

They still cannot answer my question. I got the first three COVID shots. After the third shot my A-fib became aggravated and I had 6 bouts in 7 months. If I got a COVID shot now, would the same thing happen? I never bothered with any vaccines until COVID so I don't know how normally made vaccines would affect me. Would they aggravate my A-fib as well? The irony here is they are still allowing shots for those who have health issues which are probably the people most susceptible to complications.

The headline is not quite accurate. They have removed the EuA (Emergency Use Authorization ) that allowed the covid vaccines to be mandated. No more mandates. Now it is up to the individual and their doctor.

Just kill it altogether. Dosage of the antigen is impossible to control with mRNA shots, and they are therefore unpredictable in their effects.

My sister, who believed the government propaganda, begged me to take the shot. Since I'm already a stroke patient, I decided to stay away from any kind of mRNA "vaccine." Such an injection might give me another infarction. Too risky. I was right; she was wrong. I pray that my parents' grandchildren weren't harmed by the shots. Certain medical bureaucrats, responsible for over a million American deaths, ought to swing by their necks from lampposts on K Street.

I had a really bad flu in early 2021. Might have been covid, might not have been. Symptoms lasted a week and went away. Meanwhile, I saw all the signs of a government psyop with the shot. I risked losing my retirement by refusing it and I did sweat it the whole time. I could have flushed 43 years in the workforce down the drain, and they threatened it. The pressure was enormous. Luckily for me I have never followed the herd. I made it to retirement and will be taking the SOB's money for the rest of my life now. And now, all who buckled under to the pressure will worry every time they get chronically sick if it didnt come from that shot. I regret nothing.

I had friends in the "vulnerable group" who took every shot offered. They were in their 70s and had both had a stroke prior to covid. They are both dead now. The vulnerable are the last ones who should be taking that shot! But the ignorant will stay ignorant because this is what they are reading: NBC News- FDA approves fall covid shots, but with new restrictions USA Today - RFK Jr"s FDA approves new covid vaccines PBS - FDA approves COVID-19 shots (well at least two of them stopped calling it a vaccine)

A lot of people, far more than are being reported, have had serious side effects including death from these shots. They shouldn’t even be on the market until they’re fully tested and the side effects have been explained. I try to never take medical advice from demented politicians or cable news talking heads,

Re: #5. My wife got the booster against my advice and started having Afib shortly afterwards. I had the first two shots and refused the booster, Got Covid anyway. As some mentioned, mostly like a bad cold. I can also remember the proud and smug postings on Facebook and the like about getting all the shots and those that dldn't get the vaccine were endangering the rest of us. Masks, arrows on grocery stores' floors warning people to keep apart, school closures and bankrupt businesses. Karens yelling at people for not wearing masks. Even people wearing them alone in their cars and even hoarding toilet paper. Fauci and his like warning that it was the reincarnation of the Black Death and the Spanish Flu. We acted like sheep and allowed one of the greatest hoaxes in modern history because some of the experts were sincere but some politicians saw it as a means to more power over the population. To be fair, a few thought it might be a Chinese bio weapon that was deliberately designed to devastate the West and inadvertently escaped from their lab. They may have been right. Sorry for the long rant but I also followed the "experts". I can understand the panic but they also crammed old people into nursing homes and ended up giving them a death sentence without the comfort of their families.

In the spirit of giving the devil its due, we must salute The New York Times for its epic examination of how China is influencing New York City elections. A team of nine reporters convincingly documented how agents of the Beijing government “helped defeat a state senator for attending a banquet with the president of Taiwan . . . condemned a City Council candidate on social media for supporting Hong Kong democracy . . . and ended the careers of politicians who opposed China’s authoritarian government.” The article claimed, with evidence, that Chinese agents set up scores of supposedly charitable organizations in Manhattan and throughout the five boroughs as part of its scheme,

The 2024 election season featured an unprecedented number of Asian Americans, from Vivek Ramaswamy’s rise in the Republican primary to soon-to-be second lady Usha Vance, to the Democratic candidate herself, Kamala Harris. Just a few years ago, this would have been a cause for celebration on the political left: Asian Americans have reliably voted for Democrats for decades. But the election results revealed that racial and ethnic minorities are not as loyal to the Democratic Party as previously believed. Much like Hispanics, Asian American voters made a major shift to the right. Nationally, 2020 and 2024 exit polls from the Washington Post show a 9-point shift-

We often think of American universities as either public or private. Public universities are those that are effectively owned by a governmental entity, almost always a state. Private universities, at least the respectable ones, are nonprofit corporations, controlled by trustees who appoint a president as chief executive officer to run the university. We imagine that the president is responsible to the trustees, the trustees are responsible to nobody but themselves, and the university’s faculty has academic freedom and, as long as it avoids a few live wires, is accountable to nobody. Students, meanwhile, are treated as customers and temporary residents,

Lavrov also threw up yet another roadblock to direct talks between Putin and Zelensky, saying that Russia has an “agenda” in mind that must to be agreed before the two sides can sit down together. “There is no meeting planned,” Lavrov told NBC’s “Meet the Press.”

President Donald Trump wants to stop the killing in Ukraine, but Russia’s foot-dragging is making it abundantly clear that he’ll need to apply far more pressure before any serious negotiations can begin. To do so, Trump will have to squeeze Russia’s primary source of income, its oil revenues — without upending the global energy market in the process. In an interview that aired Sunday, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov rejected US-backed security guarantees for Ukraine and balked at Trump’s push for direct talks between Russian President Vladimir Putin and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky. Putin insists that Ukrainian forces withdraw from the Kyiv-controlled parts of the country’s eastern Donbas region —
